I bought the hook that closes and realize now that I hate it. It's difficult to take off when I need to put my bass clarinet down. Fortunately, for just a couple dollars and Prime shipping, I was able to get a different hook. 5Deceptive.This strap did not come with the proper attachment as shown in the picture and in the description. My daughter has been struggling to tie it in her horn complaining but I didn't understand until closer look. That's when I realized it is not what we ordered. Unfortunately my time to return just passed when I realized this. 1Glad I found itI'm so glad I found this! I've played clarinet for many years, but age and hand/wrist injuries made playing painful. I talked to a repair technician when I took my instrument in for repairs, and he replaced my original thumb rest with one with a small ring on top. A sax player leant me a couple of straps to try, and I decided to get my own. This one is very nice. I like that you can unhook it to put on and off without having to readjust the length. I'd give the strap 5 stars, except that the padded part is just a little wide for my neck - or maybe made with the wrong taper for me. I'm 5 feet tall, and at its shortest, the strap is still a little too long. The strap is very well made, so I hate to cut it, but that's what I have to do to make it most useful. But, I was able to play our 2-hour practice the other night with very little pain. 4
