    A necessary tool I bought this as a replacement for my previous Mundial steel which lost much of its grooves after nearly twenty years. The new steel requires only two passes on a knife where my old one required ten. A necessary tool if you have good knives and you want to maintain a sharp cutting edge and this one remains the most effective and reasonably priced one. 4It's a hard steel with fine grooves in it The Mundial steel us exactly what Iwas looking for. It's a hard steel with fine grooves in it. Works great!Two years ago I purchased a different brand of steel from a local dealer. It was more then twice the price of the Mundial and had very soft steel that would catch the knife edge. Not what I wanted!The Mundial does exactly what a sharpening steel should do at an unbelievably low price! 5Really Good Steel For the Price, this is as good a pc . of steel as you are going to get.It only takes a few swipes to put a good edge on most knives. It is awell made, quality item. You could pay more, but why? 5A perfect addition to your knife box I had been looking for a steel long enough for my slicer(a Dexter 12-inch). This is perfect; I get a clean sweep across the steel. It's a bit difficult to fit in my knife bag due to its length...but it's a trade-off I'm willing to make. 4 or 5 swipes and my knives are ready to go. The handle is completely sanitary; sealed at the base, very easy-to-clean. 4
