    Don t waste your time or money. No stars Garbage. Ordered this months ago so not returnable. Opened it this morning and clearly someone else had tried to construct it and returned it. Mine is damaged and unusable. The design is missing key component even the cheapie clocks include; a nut to hold the minute hand. Ridiculous. Don t waste your time or money.Revised 8/18Since posting this review, the company has contacted me repeatedly with concern and interest in seeing that I am satisfied. They offered a full refund or replacement. I received a replacement and realized that my complaints were not a reflection of their product. My complaint now is the person who damaged it, lost a part and returned it. It slipped through the cracks somewhere along the line. The new product works just fine, the sound slightly louder than other clocks of this kind, but hey, it s a clock! Their customer service gets 5 stars. 4Work very well. I inherited a couple of old clocks that the old batteries had corroded or they stopped working for whatever reason. I bought (3) of these clock works and I replaced the guts with these little guys. Now, they all work like new. I'm actually very impressed. They work great, haven't lost any time, and they're quiet too.Good job. 5Poor quality does not tick (the secondhand just runs smoothly around the clock) Which I like.BUT the hands came bent out of shape and are paper thin (although metal)The mechanism gets caught upon itself because the shaft that spins the hands is not trueI would recommend paying a few more dollars for a better mechanism 1Swap the mechanism, not the clock! We had a small clock in our living room that stopped keeping time, the wife was upset thinking we were going to have to replace it since she's had it for years and I was upset thinking I was going to have to spend $$$ on a new clock! I didn't use the second hand and thought that I had received a broken mechanism. I actually had to press the movement against my ear to hear it running--that's how quiet it is. Works great so far--keeps accurate time. Very pleased. 5Very good product! Very very good product, with two problems. I threw an hour at Walmart and Michael's trying to teach their people what "movement" means, but finally just ordered it from Amazon.Problem A was that instructions say to attach the hour hand and "press lightly". There was nothing "light" about it. We pushed and pushed.Hard.Problem B was that you only get one set of hands. Once you take scissors and cut the hour hand down, you can only regret that you cut it too short. I should have marked it, and then put the clock back together, just to see if my mark was correct. Measure twice . . .Our clock is a non-fancy heirloom belonging to my 91 year old aunt. We just wanted to make it run again.Very good product for very good price! 5Works Great - if you know how to install it It works great, looks good, fits my clock. The reason it is not 5 stars is because the instructions were incomplete. Apparently if you tighten the brass nut too much (still just finger tight, but enough to prevent rotation of the movement) then the clock works for about 10 minutes and then stops. Only after the seller had to send a replacement did they explain that over-tightening the nut can cause this condition. If only that were on the original instructions... 4A month later, the mechanism has completely stopped working... I purchased this mechanism to make my own clock. By reading some of the other reviews, I wasn't sure if it would be a hit or a miss, but I thought it was worth a shot. The package arrived in great condition, with all the parts, and worked fine when I first inserted the battery to make sure it worked. The problems, however, came after.To go with my clock's colors, I painted the hands white. I'm not sure if this had anything to do with why it didn't keep time, but they were thin coats, and other reviewers have mentioned painting theirs as well, so again, I'm not sure if this was a part of the problem or not. But anyway, the clock ended up keeping perfect time for about a day, and I was pretty excited. Then, on day 2, it was falling behind pretty badly. I kept adjusting the hands, but to no avail. A month and a week later, the mechanism has completely stopped working, and I won't be recommending this product because of it.I'm giving this two stars, instead of one, because I'm just not sure if my painting the hands had to do with anything. Most likely, even if I hadn't painted them, the mechanism itself would still not be working right now, but I'm not sure if the paint weighed the hands down too much and that's why it didn't keep good time. Either way, for my future clocks, I'll be looking for a product of higher quality and won't be buying this one again. 2Not perfect, but better than the others. Nice silent running mechanism. The hands are flimsy and poor quality as pretty much every clock hand seems to be anymore, but I got them installed and adjusted them to where they would clear each other as they passed. Works good so far and is keeping accurate time. They were nice and sent a replacement but it came with a LOT shorter stem on it than the previous, making it harder to use...and although it worked out despite the short stem, it started running slow within a few weeks of purchase, despite us making sure it had fresh batteries. Overall I regret buying it. 1
