    Love msr stainless steel MSR alpine plate and other similar msr products are not the lightest gear you can buy but I love mine. It s Durable and easy to clean and light enough for less then one week trips. I also love the msr stainlesss steel pots. I even use them to cool rice in at home. 5Plates are 8-1/16", NOT 7.5" diameter. It's a plate. It's nice. The smooth surface is easy to clean compared to "cheaper" brand stainless plates like Ozark. I bought this because the description said 7.5" diameter, which would have fit inside my Stanley base camp cook set. It's not 7.5! So be warned, if you have the same intention I did. It's 8-1/16". Just slightly too big to fit inside the base camp pot. The plates included with the Stanley kit are best suited as dog frisbees because they're too small to justify using for eating, so this would have been a great upgrade, had the description been correct. 4Wonderful for toddlers, pets, camping, or travel! Highly recommend! Love these plates and bowls. Wonderful alternative to plastic. Very well made. Take a beating and still look like new. We have been using these plates and the MSR bowls for our toddler since she was 9 months old and eating solids. We have stone floors (travertine) and they have been dropped and thrown many times from a height. Also use them for our dogs when we travel. The only negative and irritating issue was the stickers on both the front and the back of plate many other reviewers have mentioned. Though they came off very easily, they left this weird residue/stain that made the plate look discolored where the sticker was. There really was no stickiness left behind, only a discoloration. Using soap, alcohol, and adhesive remover had no effects on the residue/discoloration. The DISCOLORATION SOLUTION I discovered was covering the areas with coconut oil, letting them sit overnight, and then washing them with Dawn the next day in hot water, taking the residue/discoloration right off. 5Nice metal plates. I use six on these as my main plates. They can't break. These plates are not super jumbo and are therefore good for portion control. Though these plates are not quite as thick as would be ideal the higher rim is so helpful that I use them for EVERYTHING as I like to drown everything I eat in olive oil. These plates wash nicely. Nothing really sticks to them. Would recommend. 4One great plate! I ordered this plate to be a multi-funtion piece of gear. There is so much that can be done with this plate. So far I have used it to eat off of, make deep dish pizza, hot biscuits, used as a resting device for utensils while cooking as well as baking a small cake. (hint: divide the box ingredients by fourths and you will have a nice cake)I had no issues whatsoever with the glue that others seem to be having. I can still see where the sticker was, but there is absolutely no glue left behind. This is nothing more that a minor blemish and in no way effects the use of the plate.This plate is lite and just the right size to feed one person. If using for a deep dish pizza pan, will feed two. Stainless steel does release heat rather quickly so your meal will cool off a little quicker than expected. One good way to keep your meal nice and warm is to use the 3L MSR Alpine pot to heat water and then when you are ready to eat, rest the plate on top of the pot (with no lid) and the heat from the water will keep your food warm. Then you have warm water to clean the dishes.It fits very nicely on top of my MSR Alpine two pot cookware. Nests like a dream in the stuffbag.I can't say enough good things about this. Don't just look at it, purchase it. You won't be disaapointed when you discover all of it's possibilities. 5Kitty Feeding Dish I am using this camping plate as a kitty food dish for wet food, and it's PERFECT! The kitties eat all of the food in the plate and are not able to push food off the opposite side, like they do with their glass plates and dishes. The plate is also lightweight and easy to clean. Planning to get several more, soon. Extremely happy with the dish, for this use!! 5Frisbee Alternative! Light enough for backpacking but not ultralight. These are very durable plates and they are just the right size. Nestles nicely with myMSR Alpine Stowaway Pot 1.6 L. Plate depth is adequate enough to hold a decent amount of food and is very easy to clean. Some people say that these are too small.. What are you expecting!?!? This is the right size for camping/backpacking. Any larger than this and I would consider it for another category: "glamping." Could also be used as a makeshift frisbee for ultimate backpacking frisbee. 5Perfect plate for my purpose. I ordered one of these and received it a few days ago.I really like it! It is lite but not too lite, it looks nice and it can be used for multiple purposes in addition to a dinner plate. It seems to be well made. I have used it several times and stuck it in the dishwasher. The mark where the label was is now completely gone.I plan to order more of these and use them daily as well as for camping, etc. While a little small, it does help with portion control. They will be very handy for serving grandkids snacks an meals. They are just the right size and I plan to be using them for years to come. 5Great little camping plate Needed a nice lightweight plate to take backpacking with me. This plate works great. I have a 8" frying pan I take as well that this plate fits perfectly into when packing. This plate would also work as a lid for my pan, but would need a glove or something to take it off due to it getting hot. Good buy, this plate will be seeing many miles on the trail. I had no problem with taking the sticker off. Once I took it off, just washed with hot soapy water and absolutely no residue. 5Sticker not so bad an issue Sticker not so bad an issue. Peels off easily, small amout of adhesive stays, super easy to wash off. I washed with dish soap, this will not get rid of it, dried then with a tiny amount of veggie oil rubbed in with fingers & a bit of elbow grease let sit for a bit, washed again & it was all gone. Haven't used it yet but seems durable, will change rating if it proves otherwise. 4
