    Great buy I felt so much more secure installing this on my heater than I did the flimsy steel hose. Adapt your pipe to the quick disconnect and you're ready to go. Glad I purchased it. 5easy to install, well made and works well works and fits very well, seems very durable 5Flexible weatherproof, leakproof, auto valving This is my second one of these hoses, having bought the first one years ago.One end is a 3/8" flare fitting (the side that has the rotating collar) -- the very best for sealing natural gas or propane. The other end of the hose has a permanently attached male quick disconnect fitting.This quick disconnect is a very clever device. The half that connects to the source has a 3/8" female FIP tapered pipe thread. This will need some teflon sealing tape to install. You attach this part to the source valve. It also has an additional automatic one-way valve inside such that if you pull back the quick-disconnect collar and release the hose, gas immediately stops flowing at the quick-disconnect.The quick-disconnect also comes with a brass nipple with 3/8" pipe threads on one side and 3/8" flare on the other.Lots of stuff for a good price.The hose covering is weatherproof and rugged. Will last for years. Also comes with durable, captured silicon rubber plugs to keep dirt and spiders out of both the quick-disconnect on source side and the male fitting on the hose end.Thus, if you permanently connect the hose to say, an infrared patio heater, and want to put it away, you can disconnect and protect the loose hose end from dirt and damage. 5Trusted QD Excellent value. These things do the trick well but make sure they're installed with a manual gas cut-off valve. Hose is well made and fittings are brass and include tight fitting silicone rubber end plugs that keep bugs and dirt out of the hose. We have a BBQ and a Smoker and what is really nice is that when we unhook the BBQ we unhook the hose from the brass disconnect fitting and plug the other one in, we then swap the hose covers so they keep the rubber ends covered so nothing gets in. Wish everything sold on Amazon was of this quality and included all the parts needed to complete a project. 5
