Customer Reviews

Always buy Moen! I bought this faucet for a total kitchen renovation. The installation took longer than expected and the faucet couldn t be tested until after the Amazon 30 day return deadline. (Amazon should change this deadline for certain things. I won t use Amazon in the future unless I am absolutely sure I can assess quality within 30 days). Long story but the faucet had a faulty cartridge that my installer said needed to be replaced. One call to Moen and I will have the cartridge in 24-48 hours. Excellent service, they stand behind their products. And they are nice about it! Other than that, the faucet is awesome. 5Beautiful update to a 37 year old sink. Installed it ourselves in 60 minutes. No baseplate included I picked this faucet after seeing the happy reviews here and talking to a friend who had it and really liked it. I ended up finding mine locally in chrome. We decided to take a chance on the Moen claims of easy installation with their duralock system and install it ourselves rather than call the plumber like usual. For the first time ever, my husband and I completed a plumbing project without a disaster, without calling a professional in at the last minute, without spending an extra $200 and most importantly we finished this still on speaking terms! Our sink is a double basin, stainless steel style and it's 37 years old. It's been here awhile and remodeling the kitchen is not in the budget. Updates though can be done a bit at a time and that is exactly what this faucet did. It has totally changed the look, feel and functionality of my sink & prep area. (Plus I have gotten a lot of compliments from people - it's the first thing my friends notice in my kitchen now!) The extra height on the spring arch means that I can fit big pasta & stew pots directly under it or a bucket if I need to. The entire spring arm swivels, so you can move it out of the way and of course the hose pulls out to spray and reach whatever you need. One thing I do like is if you have the spray setting on & turn the water off, when you turn it back on, the switch returns to the regular flow - you don't get that sudden spray. The handle takes a light touch only - it has taken a bit to get in the habit of pulling it toward me for cold & pushing away for hot.My one issue is that the base plate is an extra purchase - we replaced a three hole style faucet and had to buy separate plugs for the extra two holes. At this price point, a major company like Moen could include that base plate. 5this thing is HUGE I goofed by not looking at the dimensions of this thing before I bought it and didn't install it for a couple of years and wasn't home when it was put in, so I was surprised when I saw it towering over the kitchen sink - it's 2 inches shy of 2 feet. TWO FEET - I'm just three feet taller than my faucet. It works splendidly, doesn't feel cheap, has a beautiful chrome finish [which shows spots like crazy], and does everything I need it to do. but even after a month, it just feels like a T-Rex has come for a visit. It has a forward leaning aspect that upsets my need for straight lines and is way too industrial for my previous owners mish-mash design sense, and big for the small suburban kitchen. I don't know what I was on when I ordered this, but again, it works well and seems like a quality product. 5Very Nice Well-made Faucet This is a very well-made faucet. The finish does not show fingerprints and wipes easily. Installation is actually pretty straight forward. It took me longer to remove my old faucet than to install this one. There is a flow restrictor in the spray wand that severely reduces water pressure. I removed the restrictor and the difference in water pressure was significant. Just remove the o-ring and slap the open end of the spray wand into your hand to remove the restrictor. Replace the o-ring and screw it onto the faucet hose. 4This faucet is beautiful, installation was easy This faucet is beautiful, installation was easy. The problem I have is it swings side to side too easily. I'd like a little resistance so it will stay where I put it. I emailed Moen customer service with what I feel was a clear description of the problem. Instead of emailing me back they called while I was at work and left a message that they prefer to speak on the phone. Fair enough, I called back. Wait time over an hour, "leave your number, product number, and we'll call you back." Did that twice, no calls back. So...product pretty nice, customer service not so much. 3Yowzer! You know how you look through those magazines with the gorgeous kitchens, with the gorgeous farm sink, with the elegant, modern faucet mounted above it?This is THAT faucet. It's classic. It's functional. (It sprays, it swivels from one side to the other, it extends and retracts on its own, the sprayer turns off when you turn off the water, and its chrome)It's worth the price. Installation is simple. And if your sink is in your island, like mine is, this faucet just became a feature piece in your kitchen that you'll love using. 5Very good Pre-rinse style faucet. Moen 5923SRS Align One-Handle Pre-Rinse Spring Pulldown Kitchen Faucet, Spot Resist StainlessDidn't mention it in the video, but I found it easy to install. Additionally, my sink is 36'' for reference to the reach arm. Overall 4.5 stars, because of that plastic gasket that comes off. I took someone else's recommendation and sealed that black gasket with some silicon sealant, hopefully that does the trick.Additonally, I mention it's polished chrome. That's incorrect, it's actually the spotless stainless steal finish. 4It's good looking and installed very easily It's good looking and installed very easily. Actually our 9 year old did most of the job in less than 30 minutes. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is because the spray-head itself is not metal, it's chromed plastic. Had they specified this in the description I wouldn't have purchased it. I don't think a $300 faucet should be made of plastic. 4very cheaply made thin pot metal type construction, sprayer head is plastic. This is a $40 faucet for $400. They advertise this as some type of elite commercial type design. Considering the premium price I have to assume that this is the best they offer. If so then will not consider any Moen products in the future.Beware of buying online if I had been able to see the materials and construction prior to purchase I would have never purchased. 1LOVE this faucet! Looks so simple and clean! We were re-doing our laundry room and I was going to take our older Moen faucet that was in the kitchen and use it in that sink. After taking it apart I realized that after 12 years the faucet was on it's last leg.I was browsing through all of the Moen faucets and it was overwhelming honestly. I narrowed it down to about 30 and then showed my wife and she immediately picked this one out. I was on the fence since we do not have a chef's kitchen and thought it would look out of place. After reading the height dimensions I really thought it was going to be too tall.Got it over the weekend and WOW! Looks beautiful. It's so sleek and modern looking compared to what we had it's unbelievable to me how such a fixture can update the look of the kitchen. I also purchased the modern looking soap dispenser and since the granite guys were here for the laundry room I asked nicely if they'd drill a hole in the kitchen counter. Both complement each other really nicely in my opinion.Moen S3947SRS Modern Kitchen Deck Mounted Soap and Lotoin Dispenser, Spot Resist StainlessInstallation is SUPER easy. I've NEVER changed a faucet before and it took me about 15 minutes to do so. Do NOT think it's over your head because you've never done one before. There are two things I am not fond of. First is the head of the faucet. It's plastic. It's such a shame too because the entire unit and quality of this is all metal and it blows my mind that a fixture that is $400+ gives you a plastic head. The part that you extend down and touch almost every time should be metal just like the faucet water control on the right hand side. This is honestly my biggest gripe with a really nice kitchen faucet. That leads me to the next thing. By default on this unit when the water control hand is upright just like in the pictures it's off. Push it to the right while still keeping the position at the 12 o'clock will net you hot water. To adjust water you must turn the hand down towards the counter. This seems backwards to me. By default I should have cold water up top and then adjust the handle downward to start to make it warm then adjust to hot. This really bothers me but it's 100% easy by just switching the connections on the bottom of the sink. Instead of hooking the cold water to cold line hook it to the hot water line and same with the hot.. Hot goes onto cold. By doing this it will 100% solve the problem above.I will note that my wife is completely fine with how it is by default and actually prefers it that way (hot at the 12 o'clock position and cold as you turn the handle downwards). Perhaps being left handed I just am used to adjusting water slightly different than her since she's a righty. One last note is it really helps if you have a deeper sink. If not you will get water splatter. Even with the deeper sink water seems to splatter in places it did not with our older faucet.I was on the fence about spending this much for a faucet but honestly the one that was in our kitchen like I mentioned above was 12 years old, and if this lasts that long then it's worth it.We purchased the stain resistant s/s version and NOT the chrome. Some times it's hard to tell in people's pictures what they purchased. Hopefully this helps some folks :-) 4
