    never clogged and it is easy to refill Bought my first for a kitchen remodel and found it to be so handy that I bought one for kitchen of our newly built house. The pump always worked, never clogged and it is easy to refill. Helps reduce counter clutter because it's part of the faucet ensemble. Looks great too! 5Great Soap Dispenser It wasn't until during construction that I decided I needed a soap dispenser. My husband and I have differing views on where the bottle of Dawn should reside and so adding a soap dispenser to our new kitchen is a perfect way to have the soap at the sink, and pleasing to look at too. My contractor said he sometimes has trouble with the sensor soap dispensers, so I went with this standard Moen model, that also matches our new sink faucet. It was the same price on Amazon as Home Depot, only I got it much quicker and free shipping with Amazon Prime!I actually installed it myself as it was "not in scope" for the contractor. It was very easy to do! I think most anyone could do this themselves. Note I did not have to drill hole in counter -that was done for me. Also, you fill it from top, convenient!It looks good (matches everything) and works pretty good too. The only negative is that when I pump the soap sometimes it gets on counter as the soap doesn't shoot out very far from pump. Maybe this is due to the location of the hole, but it seems like a pretty standard location. I didn't deduct any stars because it really meets all my expectations and I just pump the soap directly onto my dishrag if I want to make sure I'm not getting soap on counter. 5Like all reviewers said I got this to install in place of a dishwasher vent that I no longer needed, so I already had a 1.5 inch hole in the granite top.Like all reviewers said, it installs easily, no tools needed. in minutes. The interesting bit was comparing it to my other, pre-existing, cheapo soap dispenser. The quality difference really is night and day.This came with a gasket that sits between the dispenser and the granite and makes sure liquids and soap do not seap through. The weight and metal used for this dispenser is light years ahead of my other cheap dispenser, and the pump action so much better.I liked it so much that I immediately ordered a second one, to replace my existing dispenser. 5Great soap dispenser We are in the middle of kitchen remodel. Already purchased 2 high end Moen pull down faucet and needed 2 soup dispensers for undermount granite sinks. I had ordered 2 but returned because when they arrived they looked good, but were lightweight and plastic. So I returned them and ordered 1 of this one, just in case it was plastic also. Arrived fast and is a heavy metal high quality soap dispenser. The spot free stainless matches my spot free new faucet beautifully. So I immediately ordered another. Great price and exactly what I wanted. 5Disappointing Product This dispenser has been a disappointment. After 6 months, it became hard to press down on the pump. Very little liquid soap is dispensed with each pump. It looks very nice, but I'd opt for something that works as expected. 1Very High Quality, Works Smoothly. An Installation Tip! I have gone through various built-in soap dispensers over the past couple years. Most cost about $20. Some operated smoothly and some did not. All failed too soon. I saw this Moen unit rated very highly on an independent review site, so I decided to try it.The build quality on this unit seems very high. It feels like the pump head is all metal although I cannot be certain. The pump itself is plastic. It operates extremely smoothly. Start pushing the pump head and there is just smooth motion and great control over the amount of soap dispensed. Despite the neck of the bottle seeming narrow it is easy to fill with liquid soap. I was able to squeeze the supply bag so the soap flowed into the bottle very quickly without a bubble forming and soap back-flowing out of the bottle. So, it can be filled very quickly.Yes, it is more expensive than many other options. But I am impressed with the quality and operation. I think it is worth the price and expect it will last a long time.Installation tip: The printed directions are, well, terrible. Lots of pictures, each part in the pictures carefully labelled with a number or letter, and no instructions on what to do. Really, Moen - get your act together on providing usable instructions.As is typical with built-in soap dispensers this comes in several parts that must be assembled. No tools needed. The bottle assembly is easily attached to the vanity / sink. The pump assembly is in three parts - pump head (the part you see and push to get soap), the inline pump, and a tube that connects to the pump and extends into the soap bottle to draw up soap.The pump press fits into a hole on the bottom of the pump head. It is a really tight fit. I called Moen before pressing so hard, and they told me this is what's needed and the pump rarely breaks. So I stood the pump on a flat surface, placed the pump head in place, and pushed down really hard. The pump did indeed press all the way into the pump head.If you want a high-quality built-in soap dispenser that seems likely to last a long time deal with the poor instructions and give this unit a try. 5Quality unit at a premium price point I use it for dish soap - I have an automatic dispenser for hand soap.PROS:Matches well with my Kohler sink & Moen MotionSense Arbor faucetLooks good.Entire mechanism (moving parts) is in the top part so WHEN it breaks you can more than likely just swap out the top pump and not have to go under the sink at all.CONS:Expensive.Wish arm was longer.Squirts straight down so makes short arm a PITA.Holds a lot of soap that is easy to load.HINT: Some have mentioned it is hard to load. Put a slim straw in the loading hole while loading (keep above fluid line) and no mater how thick the soap you are loading in it, it will go down. 4Moen is simply the best, and the only plumbing fixtures we trust, based on 30 years of experience! We remodeled our kitchen a bit, and I wanted to add 2 soap dispensers to the sink, one for dish liquid and another for hand soap. Just these 2 easy-fill-from-the-top, quality pumps has made a very pleasant change. My kitchen sink is now clutter free, and I no longer have soap-goo puddles to clean up. If they did drip, which they don't, any soap would drop right into the sink to be rinsed easily away.I had previously purchased a soap dispenser from Lowes, some $15 off-brand, and the first one lasted only a matter of a few weeks before the pump failed catastrophically. I returned it for exchange, and tried another with advice from the salesperson to pull the pump once a week and run hot water through it. I very strictly followed this advice, but even so, the new pump lasted only a couple of months! Determined to have the convenience of in-sink pumps, I turned to Moen, and to date, I have not been disappointed. They work flawlessly, fill simply, and I couldn't be happier.Should my joy EVER turn to dismay, I will definitely return to this review to report the problem, as well as Moen's response.Moen is the ONLY company whose plumbing products I will ever use again. I've been burned by Kohler, Delta, and Price-Pfister, but in 30 years of experience with Moen, NONE of their products have EVER failed. Frankly, I would be shocked to my core if my Moen fixtures ever gave me an ounce of trouble. 5Actually, pretty GOOD! Just buy it! I had read the lower reviews, and was nervous, because Moen is pricey. And I do agree that the squirt going straight down can be a little harder to plan for. But I love the ability of this guy to dispense a little or a lot depending on how far you push, and for being consistent. I also agree that the parts could be slightly better quality for Moen (we expect them to be the best) but this was easy to install (I did it alone, and would not recommend that, unless you tape the top part down to hold it while you're under the sink), and assuming you don't over-tighten the plastic bottle (rookie mistake, which my builder did on the one I was replacing), this should serve well for a long time!(How's that for a run-on sentence? My English teacher is shuddering somewhere!) 5Perfect match to the faucet! I purchased the matching Moen Faucet on Amazon at the same time. They are both perfectly matched in color. I have a HUGE recommendation for consumers. Do not waste your time with the little bottle provided for soap. ALL soap dispensers are a pain to refill - especially if you have a deep sink. Buy a clear tube for Lowes and run it down to a 1/2 gallon jug under the sink and fill it with liquid soap. We have not had to fill it yet and it's been months! 5
