Great for the Family Flashlight Shelf, Glove Box So far so good. These are nice sized flashlights with a good beam. Since they did not come with batteries I was able to put in high quality batteries from the get go. I did contact their customer service with a question and they responded promptly. I always have a flashlight in my luggage when I travel, my car, and a "in case" shelf at home for the occasional power outage. These are perfect. I have replaced my big old D cell mag lights with these. 5fine for price not near as bright as advertised, and the 'focused' or intense setting shows the lines in the square shape of the light source. Works great as a stocking-stuffer for my sons and for general around the house and camping use. Not sure of durability or life expectancy yet.See pic's comparing this one which is ~$6 each (LEFT) vs. 'Taclight High-Powered Tactical Flashlight w/5 Modes & Zoom Functions by Bell + Howell' purchased from Walmart for ~$15 each (RIGHT). I think the Walmart special in pic is better (it has magnetic bottom), but this one works fine. If I was purchasing for brightness and durability, I would not buy either of these. 3bright but defective It actually was brighter than my other high powered name brand leds when comparing them side by side. Comparison was with a 500 lumen slide king nebo light, showed it to be twice as bright, but when compared to my HID xenon flashlight thats 6500 its well under 50% brightness. So for a rechargeable, its a hard price to beat as my slide king was right at same price, but the lumens of this is greatly greatly exaggerated like most of these. Mine ended up as a return as the it would not recharge, seller was good to refund quickly. Mine came in working, and worked for an hour, but could not be recharged. Also on arrival had a burnt smell, I can only assume someone had this before and put the batteries in backwards. Do be cautious when you use batteries like this, I know people that treat them like remote control batters 1.5 volt, put in backwards at most they dont work. These as any high mAH battery should be used with caution and regard. I chose not to reorder one as the lumens to me where at best 1500 to 2000 true lumens, and the head of the unit just felt to cheap when turning; I feel it will lead to wire damage long term. Research your lumens, this light is priced close to 50% anyone else claiming the same, I did not buy theirs to do a comparison. For price point, and lumens currently I do not think you can find a cheaper lumen for dollar avenue. Rely on other feedback as to durability and if this seems to stand the test of time. My personal assessment is this will work fine for around home, camping in good weather, controlled environments. I just would not suggest this to go into heavy rain, or under a home thats been flooded etc with the head design and seals. 2Great, bright flashlights Great, bright flashlights. Bought these to replace those useless Walmart LED flashlights I kept getting in the checkout line. These last forever on a charge and are BRIGHT. I paired these this with 18650 type batteries: *EBL 18650 Battery 3.7V 3000mAh Performance Li-ion Rechargeable Batteries with Stable Storage Boxes, 6 Packs*Highly recommended. You will need an 18650 charger to recharge them but they are pretty inexpensive. 5Must read this reveiw I had an issue with 1 of the 5 not working but for the price was considering writing a 4 star review as I still thought this was a good value. I really like the size and the brightness of the light and the ability to focus / change the beam size is fantastic.I gave this a 5 star based on the vendors support. I contacted them to explain the issue, and the politely and professional addressed the issue by sending me a single replacement flashlight.I am very happy with this product and wouldn't hesitate to buy this from this vendor again. 5The manufactures recommend using the 18650 or high end AAA batteries Fairly well made, not high end. I do not believe the 1500 Lumens is correct, with that being said they are very bright. And that is just using regular AAA batteries. They came with the AAA holder and also the plastic tube for using one 18650 battery. Those seem to last longer and makes the light brighter. That gives you the option. The price is more then fair compared to the quality and durability that you find in those .99 to 10.99 flashlights you find at the hardware stores and they seem to last longer. Note: I've use another one of these about every other day for two years. When the batteries start to become weak, it tends to change through its setting on its own. That is using cheep AAA batteries. The manufactures recommend using the 18650 or high end AAA batteries. A problem I have had is the circuit board with the LED has come loose a couple of times. The fix was quick and easy, I take a pencil, lay it across the front lens assembly and holding the flashlight body twist it off. Under that is the LED circuit board assembly, it has two dimples in it for using a spanner tool, I just use the tips of needle nose pliers. Tips into the dimples and twist clockwise. Reassemble. 4Not impressed. You get what you pay for...I should have known better. Out of the box - One of the carriers for the AAA batteries was missing a terminal and therefore useless. The other lights had complete AAA carriers, but two didn't have the plastic sleeve which is apparently used with the 18650 batteries. They can't even get "what's in the box" right.Functionality - Cumbersome. Unless I'm missing something, you have to cycle through modes until you get to the one you want, which means up to NINE clicks to get back to the setting where you last left off. In other words - to get back to the high, non-strobe setting - you have to cycle through medium non-strobe, low non-strobe, fast strobe, slow strobe and finally back to the high non-strobe where last you left it. Of course, there may be a shortcut I'm missing, but seeing as they come with ZERO documentation, it's hard to know.Brightness - I have an 1100 lumen Streamlight which blows these purported 1500 lumen lights out of the water.Cheapness - If if had held one of these and tested it before buying it, um, no, I wouldn't have purchased them. Cheap is cheap, and these have lowered the bar for all the others you just THOUGHT were cheap. I was going to give these to some of my friends as gifts, but I don't want them to think I don't like them anymore.Value - If you're looking for a throwaway flashlight or something for the kids to play with in the backyard, these are just the ticket. If you want something bordering on the low end of decent, forget these toys and spend the money to get a real flashlight. 1Not terrible. Good packaging. Fast shipping. I have a lot of tactical flashlights. I bought these as gifts thinking they were all alike. I tested these ones against the others. It was probably about half as bright as most of my others. I tried it with both 3 AAA and a 18650. It was the same brightness with either one. It's also on the smallish side which might account for the difference in brightness between this and others. In all I would chose another if I had a chance. These cost me $27.89 for the five purchased 12/15/2018. I recently paid $7.50 for a 2 pack of different ones that were much brighter. Prices on Amazon go up and down hourly so I give you these only as a reference.Shipping was fast. I bought the 5 pack. All 5 worked. They all came with a little plastic insert for the optional 18650 battery. 3Very bright and hot CREE XHP70 has a maximum light output of 4022lm at 32W. This flashlight claims to be 1500-2000 lumens, which is quite reasonable. Not matter how much lumens it can actually provides, it is very bright. It also includes a built-in 18650 battery charger and 2 18650 batteries are also included. However, the flashlight can get pretty hot after a short period, especially on the location close to the light bulb. Although my hand didn't feel the heat since it is pretty far from the holding position, I am not sure if the heat can shorten the life span of the light bulb or other electronic parts in that location. 5Amazing quality This is one of those things on Amazon where we really lucked out. We bought this set of flashlights for party favors and were VERY impressed with the quality. The children LOVED them. They are zoomable, do different patterns and very bright. They have several settings. They are heavy and feel very nice. Great for night time tag, ghost hunting in the forest, etc. 5
