A few changes would take this from great to awesome (but it's still great)!So much better than individual filter cases! HOWEVER, it would be cool if there were tabs that could be used to pull the filter up. It's a bit tight for a 77mm filter and getting it out is not the easiest thing in the world. Totally made up for with portability and size though. I would love to be able to hold six filters while retaining this shape/approximate size but this still works better than my giant old Tamrac filter holder and individual cases. One other improvement would be a smooth side within each section. I have a Breakthrough Photography x2 cpl and it has grips on the front that catch on the soft fabric and makes it a bit tough.4Much better than a camera bag full of plastic filter cases! Much better than a camera bag full of plastic filter cases! Could be improved by adding a small ribbon to help lift the filter out of each slot. Nicely, it holds 82mm filters which seem to be the new standard size for Nikon lenses. Would also like to see a version that held 6 to 8 filters by adding depth, instead of width; would fit better in many of the Think Tank and MindShift back packs. 5Another excellent Mindshift gear product Another simple but well made and well thought out device via MindShift Gear. I'm not a huge filter guy but I have the usual polarizer and several ND filters; this is a no brainier piece of gear because you'll be free of those plastic filter cases which is a pain in the butt when in the field. Just be aware of the size limitation of this case as well as the fact it can house a max of 5 filters (I think; double check this). 5Doesn't fit ND gradsDescription is wrong - it has 4 slots for filters and none of them will fit a rectangular ND. I don't know how people are fitting them, unless theirs are square - mine are Cokin P. Also, the bottom of the case is open so grit could work its way up from below. I'm looking for something that I could set on the ground for a moment, so this definitely won't work. If you only have round filters and aren't concerned about grit coming in through the bottom, this is a nicely made, compact option.4Mindshift QualityAnother quality product from mindshift. I have several midshift products in my bag now and so far they have been very reliable and useful. Thoughtful design. It fits in my camera bag nicely because it s not in some odd shape and/or bulky design.5Not debris free...Nice if you store it in your gear bag. Otherwise it has no zipper or other closure to help keep out dust and debris such as sand at the dunes blown by the wind. Debris can get in at the bottom and top.4Decent, with way too big gaps in fabric Pretty nice. I regret that it has pretty wide gaps where dirt can get into the pouch, I would be much happier if it was more sewn together to protect the filters better. 3wouldn't this be an absolute waste of moneyBuilt tough, fits my 77mm circular filters and protects them from all angles of attack. After all, if it did not protect your $100+ ND filter and your $100+ CircPol, wouldn't this be an absolute waste of money? Well, it is not a waste of money because it does what it says it will do - refreshing nowadays.5You put filters in it.....My second one, because I have a lot of filters. It does a good job protecting them. The only little issue is that for 82mm filters they can be a little tough to pull out due to the knurled edges of the filters and the tight fit, but it would sure best having them fall out. But when I m shooting landscapes and using filters I don t have things bothering me so it s just fine.....5Great pouchLIke the other MindShift gear, this pouch was well thought out and is made well. The slots are individually padded, are expandable and hold the filters securely. The individual compartments have a color coding on the separation, making it easy to keep different filters in order for quick retrieval and replacement.5It does the job,what can I say. I don't understand the negative reviews some buyers put up. If you want something air tight, that can hang from your belt, and can withstand a 10 megaton bomb blast, then read the descriptions and buy smarter. This little wallet holds my filters and stores easily in my camera bag. it's not air tight - nothing is and it doesn't need to be. You should be wiping your filters before you trip the shutter anyway. I'd buy it again, and from the same seller.5Elegant solution to a vexing problemWhen I first got back into photography, I started out with a single polarizer. More lenses meant more filters, and pretty soon I had a small army of NDs and two polarizers with no good way to keep them organized in my camera bag. The hard plastic cases that B+W and Breakthrough provide certainly kept them safe, but I couldn't easily grab one when I needed it, and they were always a bit fiddly - not to mention taking up copious amounts of camera bag real estate. I tried a Tamrac filter holder in a camera store, but even though it had a neat magnetic closure, the design still seemed like it would let dust in.This case gets it right. The velcro closes tightly, keeping the majority of dust out, and the slots are padded to keep the filters safe. It's not as rugged as a hard case would be, but I keep it in the center of my bag next to the cleaning supplies and the travel I've done with it so far hasn't led to anything happening yet. Build quality is fantastic.5Good case but could be betterPros. Fits four filters (77 mm in my case) easily and saves a good deal of space in my bag.Cons. There's no functional means of attaching the bag to your belt or rucksack. It does have a thin nylon loop but don't see it as functional. Just a means of getting it in and out of a carry bag.3
