    Perfect for my 2006 GMC Sierra Put this in my 2006 GMC Sierra (no Bose audio, no steering wheel controls). I tucked it up behind the radio, near the defrost vents to keep it out of the way of the radio and so the speaker in it was as audible as possible. If you didn't know better, you'd really think it was still the factory chime; pretty loud for how small it is. Easy to wire up using the labels on the wires and in the manual that comes with it. I think there were 3 wires I was questioning what they were for, but I ended up not using or needing them anyways.Definitely plan on buying this again! 5Made life so much easier. Absolutely perfect for my 2003 Impala. I connected this guy with my aftermarket radio, connected it to my old radio, and everything worked like a charm. Really, really easy. 5Almost Plug-n-Play I don't know what GM was thinking when they designed their audio interface!I used this for my install in my 2003 Pontiac Grand Am. I can't believe how easy it made the job. From initial pre-wiring connections from the radio to the finished install, it took all of about 1.5 hrs. Instructions were clear and concise. Color codes were right on. No wires to cut. Even the chime worked without issue. This was almost plug-n-play.For GM owners, be sure to have the antenna adapter. You will need it.I estimate I saved about $100-$200 in parts labor and service charges as this allowed me to do it myself with no problems. Excellent product. Highly recommended! 5... is the ONLY data bus interface that will sound like the factory GM chimes This is the ONLY data bus interface that will sound like the factory GM chimes! All the others sound like crap! Trust me, I've tried them all. I have used this unit in a 2004 Tahoe, 2006 Silverado and a 2007 Trailblazer. Works great! 5Works on 2000 Pontiac Sunfire. Called a few auto parts stores and they didn't have a clue if this would work. It worked great, easy to splice in to a aftermarket head. Some functions will not work unless you find them and splice them into the stock harness, but alarms all work so that's the most important part. Installed it on a 2000 Sunfire. 5Door(s) Open / Lights On Chime Still Works This amazing little piece of technology allows one to add an aftermarket head-unit to a GM audio installation in lieu of the factory head-unit and replicates the door open, lights on, etc... chime that originally played through the vehicle's speakers. This magic, little, black box also allows you to keep (R.A.P.) Retained Accessory Power for items in the vehicle that were originally designed to stay active for a timed period after killing the ignition. Well built. Works great. Would buy again. Recommended. 5Be patient and read your wire diagrams As with most stereo adapter harnesses, the wires are color matched to aftermarket stereo harnesses. That being said, learn to solder and use heat shrink tube. It makes the connections rock solid and prevents shorts.The chime box is loud enough to be heard from inside the dash with the head unit installed and Im very happy with it. Of course it doesnt sound factory. Its not supposed to.. cause its not by GM. 5Very Disappointed After wiring in this new interface with my new stereo, the chime box doesn't match the plug on the wiring interface it came with. They both came in the same package! Have to undo all the connections and re-install my old stereo until they ship a replacement as the stereo won't function without the chime box installed. The Accessory power goes through the chime. No way to contact the seller either. Very disappointed with Amazon! Hope the replacement is correct. 1Just what I needed to complete install. Actually impressed, used to install a navigation head unit with reverse camera. Depending on the factory radio installed in your vehicle. You may or may not need this. Used this in a 2006 GMC 2500 with a mid level factory radio. As long as the fairly easy instructions are followed, I retained all time delay power off, and no hunting in the dash for a reverse signal wire while installing reverse camera. 5Perfect. Easy to install, works exactly as advertised. You know what I like? I like when, after I discover I have to shell out money for something that says it's going to solve a problem, it does exactly what it said it would do, without any difficulty. That, I like.The installation was a little time consuming but dead simple... basically, you have to spend time connecting about 25 pairs of wires together. But that's it. The instructions for matching the colors of the wires were perfect, it was very easy. Then I plugged the whole thing in and did their little one-time routine where you have to start the car, turn it off again, and turn the key to Acc to initialize the unit.And then it worked. Just like that. No further monkeying around. I'm a happy customer.The chimes (door open & headlights on) do sound just like the original chimes to me, you can barely notice a difference. 5
