perfect length for stacked components on a rack Replacing 5 and 6 foot cables with these really neatened up my setup. One of the previous cables was faulty and occasionally had to be bumped to start working again (not convenient to get to). I should have started with shorter cables to begin with. Whether or not it "sounds" better than the previous cables is an endless debate but I can certainly say the shorter length is a boon and having a reliable cable that doesn't randomly go out is really the bare minimum you should expect from any audio cable. I would recommend these and will buy more if the need arises. 5hum or any feed back that is usually caused by bloated crap companies. I also use there banana plugs (great ... I buy and use a lot of Mediabridge cables in my applications when it comes to my precious stereo equipment. They are a no-nonsense quality minded company that builds superb cables and other accessories with a very reasonable price. My set up at home is over 8 grand so I'm quite biased what I say about Mediabridge !!! 5Price/Performance Ratio of this Cable (and Brand) is Difficult to Match I am using this 2ft digital coax cable made by Mediabridge to connect an old Luxman CD player (I know, who still uses them?) to an Emotiva DAC and am very pleased with the results. I could easily have spent 10 times the amount on an "audiophile grade" cable by another manufacturer, but there is no need. Mediabridge makes great cables for a very affordable price. I use the company's HDMI cables (among many other types) with full confidence in their performance and highly recommend the Mediabridge brand. 5Nice Cable, a Little on the Big Side Very nice cable for the price, and it was the right size for two Martin Logan SWT-2 wireless units. I would've gone with 1 foot if they had it. My only complain is that the connector is a little longer than most RCA connectors, and depend on your cabinet or stand, your AV receiver may need to move a little forward for this to fit. Otherwise, it's pretty good and does the job. 4Works exactly as I expected My new amp came with one less optical audio input than my old one. That was bad news but it does have a coax audio input. I ve always opted for the Toslink connector so this was the first time I ve used the coax type, which meant buying a new cable.I didn t hesitate to choose the Mediabridge brand. There are certain brands that I ve learned to trust, and this is one. Every time.The price is right, the quality is first-class and most importantly it works exactly as I expected. 5Mistakes happen We purchased the product to get our Hime Theater Subwoofer further out. Once received one end was very tight and the other very loose. The seller immediately sent another replacement with no questions asked. Once we recieved it, it worked flawlessly. I then decided to pair the two cables together and to my surprise the old one that supposedly didn t work, ends seemed to be tighter than the replacement. I opened the flange in the ends a bit more on the old one and viola it worked. How dumb of me. I gave it 4 stars because it should ve never been shipped with tightly closed ends. 4very good quality, flexible Needed a short cable to run from my wall plate to my receiver for my subwoofer. Could have used a 1 footer, but this was the shortest I could find. Yes it's a digital coax, but as others have said, a cable is a cable is a cable... The copper wire inside is just that, a copper wire... It doesn't care what the signal is, it just carries it. It will work just as well as a subwoofer cable as it will a digital coax. With that being said, very good quality, flexible, and tight fitting connectors. Can't ask for more. It works great. 5Excellent quality, great price I bought a new 3D Blu-ray player and discovered it didn't have optical audio capability, surprising since all of my AV components have had it for the past 10+ years so I didn't even look for that on the specs. Not wanting to return the unit, and finding the selection of digital cables in the middle of Alaska very limited, I took a shot with this one. It arrived promptly and well-packaged, as everything from Amazon does, it is very well made, and the sound is excellent with no interference or environmental noise during playback. I have had a pop through the sound system when disks first start (the first one made my family and me jump and sent the dog scurrying to the back of the house), but not sure if it's the cable or the new player--nothing else in my system has ever done it. Will experiment with different components when I get a chance to figure out what's generating it. In the meantime I keep volume down until the disk intro starts and there have been no further issues during playback. So far I am very happy with this cable and recommend it for anyone without optical audio capability or is uncomfortable with the relative fragility of optical cables (sharp bends, pulling through conduit, etc.).Jan 2, 2015 UPDATE: The popping appears to be static electricity-related. Winter in interior Alaska is extremely dry (humidity usually at 20% or below when temps drop below zero) and popping always happens when someone anywhere in the room does something to cause a spark. Sound also may drop out for a second rather than pop. My components with optical cables don't do that. Food for thought if you live in a super low humidity environment. 5I've bought several of these, they are great cables And, I'll most likely buy more. These cables seem to be shielded as well as Monster cables, at budget prices. They have gold-tone connectors and seem to be more than adequate for home audio setups. As far as I can tell, they are the highest grade of wire, heavy shielding, and are extremely flexible as well.I've paid a lot more for audio cables, but these seem more durable than those I've paid more for.Overall: I highly recommend these cables, these are monoprice prices for a high quality cable. You really can't go wrong with these. 5Then went on Amazon and purchased pretty cheap in comparison with all other cables the subject ... All my audio equipment is connected via quite expensive RCA cables. To my surprise Sony latest model Blueray DVD didn't have RCA audio connections. This unit has HDMI and coaxial connections. After evaluation of my McIntosh pre-amplifier I found coaxial input. Then went on Amazon and purchased pretty cheap in comparison with all other cables the subject high quality Mediabridge audio coaxial cable. Recommend. 5
