Customer Reviews

Good--like the same type I was replacing Somewhere I read a review (I think of a different seller) that the buyer got a cheaper product than what the real mftr sold, and had posted a picture of the actual product vs. the knock-off. Anyway, for that reason I had chosen carefully which seller to use, and paid more than the minimum I could have for the same product. Anyway, by method or luck, these gloves are very good; just as good as the same brand and type I was replacing. Love these gloves. It is true you can tear up the mesh with certain uses, but the fit and flexibility of this style is exactly what I like, the best tool for me for sure. (After I drove the other pair into the ground with years of hard abuse, I cut off the fingers and they were like workout gloves for awhile, and ultimately disintegrated.) 5Comfortable flexible and supportive for cold weather. Perfect for me.Not sure why people say these gloves are thick..for how warm they are they are very thin. I chose mechanix because i won a free pair of gloves from them a year or 2 back and i loved them. Recently i list one glove so i had ordered a new pair, decided to try a new model. I love them, i work with dogs so (biting, scratches,) it has medium protection(not stopping punctures) i have recently pryed a puppys mouth open to extract a babywipe out from his throat(purpose the of the wipe: to remove the poop from his butt)....he has razer sharp teeth, a coworker of mine got all bit up and blood bathed for sticking his hands in, at the time i used my gloves(had them on) and was able to remove it no injury, so it helps ENOUGH. It is only slightlythicker than my last pair (only because of paddings placed in very good spots, i am use to lifting 5gallon buckets all day back and forth and some, dont have plastic handle guards for you . every now and then id get a pinched nerve in my hand. With these gloves i no longer do. 6/5 would buy another pair if only my work would pay for the necessary protection we need. I feel if we were outfitted with these there would be less staff injury.5Fits Like A GloveAs it should! I've been wearing this brand since the late 80's, I was a master mechanic and I tried them out then, still wearing them now. They last forever in a daily harsh enviroment and heavy work situations. Stylish and practical. You pay for what u get for. The AWESIME thing s they make gloves for all needs. I have one for home use, I have another pair in my ar trunk, I also have tactical shooting gloves from Mechanix brand. All comfortable, breathable, and protects ur hands as they should. Many styles and colors. Use the measuring table .. very accurate. If u like snug, use the table chart. If u like a bit looser, go up one size.5What happened? They changed sizes! XXL don't fit anymoreThese were my GO TO gloves! I'm so upset. Just ordered a few pair and now they don't fit. The XXLs aren't even close to the same size they were before. (and no my hands didn't gain weight or get bigger). I've been using this brand religiously and and exclusive for over 10 years. These are the only things that would fit my size 14 hands. Get the XXL. Wonderful gloves.Got all the colors to match the different mountain and road biking outfits. Great for work gloves and really last.I put some in my son's car care kit and an extra pair for he and his friend who move furniture on the side.2Did Not Perform and Failed Quickly These gloves lasted about 2 weeks of minimal use. I wore them occasionally when the weather was warm enough or the task required a bit of dexterity. They were about 1/2 inch too long on all my fingers. A large size is usually what I wear with this brand but these obviously had longer fingers then normal. I do mechanical maintenance and my tasks vary from day to day. I have had other Mechanix Wear gloves and i loved them but these just didn't hold up. I expect a $25-$30 pair of gloves to last a bit longer then two weeks. And I can not return them because of the date I bought them was a month before I put them in use. Bummed. 2Falling apart within 2 weeksThe seam across the thumb on the left hand came all the way out within 2 weeks of using them and I'm right handed. I'm not happy with how fast the gloves are falling apart for mow much they cost. I got the M-pact gloves from seller JB Tool Sales.2Highly Recommend.I have purchased various brands of impact style gloves over the past couple of years but most have not lived up to my expectations. I purchased these in the hope that they would do so. I am now halfway through my annual task of cutting firewood (a lot) for my shop and house and these gloves show almost no indication of the abuse that they have experienced. By this time, others would have begun to show wear and tear but the Mechanix Wear have none of that. These are great.Update: Well..... I wrote the review above after cutting and stacking more than two cords of primarily pine (this was for my shop) and was pleased with the wear capability. I then began splitting and stacking hardwood for the house. Unfortunately they did not wear as well on this wood. After less than a cord, I got a tear in a finger of one of the gloves which I patched with duct tape as per usual. I switched back to my more durable Ace leather gloves to complete that chore. I still like the Mechanix M-Pact gloves but obviously not for getting wood in.4Terrible design and craftsmanship These are really poorly sewn. The side tag on the one glove has some sort of thick center to make it stand out and is sewn through so that it rubs against the side of your palm. I'm sure not all gloves are like this but this shouldn't have happened. Also the sewing points too at some spots have extra fabric so it creates rub spots like at the fingertips there are seams that due to design just give a place to rub on your finger. In terms of impact/vibration it sucks. My hands got worn out way faster wearing these than the gloves I had for years. There really isn't much padding on the palm side and what was there was slightly off (not the wrong size glove) so they ended up giving me blisters which has never happened from wearing gloves. The wrist velcro straps are quite nice though. 1Terribly made, fake chinese knockoffs.Although they look somewhat real they're fake.I repeat, THEY ADVERTISE THESE AS REAL, BUT THEY ARE FAKE CHINESE REPLICAS, DO NOT BUY.Fit terrible, use different materials and didn't even try on some of the logos. The fingers are completely different and the rubber doesn't even go down to the finger tips. The pair in their picture are actually real, but the pairs they send are fake, if you don't believe me, compare my pictures ( the actual product ) with what they are advertising, these are so bad I only put them on once and the material is literally falling apart already. The index finger and thumb don't have the same design as the one in the pictures, the little logo tab in yellow is completey different from what Mechanix actually makes, and I even have a genuine pair of originals to compare. The leather on the upper palm is shaped differently and the two spots padding on the lower palm don't have the yellow holes in the picture. The tab on the bottom is also black, instead of red like the real one, and the right glove didn't even have one, and the worst part? They couldn't even get the material right, it's so cheap and poorly made. The Mechanix logos in black on top are also less vibrant as the real ones. The fitting is also the worst I've ever experienced in my life.I orded a medium and got a large, and it was so tight I could barley get it on, and it's to the point where compared to the two different pair of genuine orignal mechanix gloves I had which were a actual medium fit me perfectly, compared to the god awful webbing and severe lack of movement with these, the poor padding on the lower hand is so bad you can't even make a fist. The top of the glove uses the same material as the classics, while these knockoffs use some other method that leaves the gloves significantly more harder and thicker, leaving them less breathable.Complete disappointment and a waste of money, I can't believe even with prime I had to wait two days longer than I should of had to get these.1My favorite gloves Around 3 or 4 years ago, I purchased 2 sets of Mechanix gloves that were perfect gloves I used for everything. When I needed to get another couple of pairs, I could not find them anymore and the ones I found just did not feel great. Researching online I came to the conclusion that I really needed to try this gloves out as a replacement, and I am absolutely glad I did!**SIZE CONCERNS - PLEASE READ** It is very difficult for me to find a good fitting glove with a big and long thumb, thin and long fingers, and thin wrists. When I size my hand to charts, I always fall barely up to the large size, but a large always ends up too tight and short for my thumbs and too short for my fingers. Even my first set of Mechanix gloves where XL. I ordered a set of Snap-On gloves in large and they are too small, but with all of the feedback on these gloves, I hesitated to try the large one more time, but I did. I was worried about yet another failed attempt to select large glove vs. the proven XL that fits my hands. Well these arrived and the large gloves fit my hands like any other XL glove fits. I would suggest (if you have concerns in the middle of 2 sizes) to go with the smaller size! 5Pretty good Reason for 4 stars is because I feel these are going to come apart soon. I can tell that they wont last long. Although, while they are still holding up, they've been a huge help. I already smacked my knuckles and hand against my rusty suspension and it didn't even hurt at all, if I didn't have these on, my knuckles would have definitely bled. 4So comfortable! This is my second pair of these gloves. I purchased them just to have an extra pair because I like them so much. Medium fits my hand perfect in these glove where usually L is what I wear. I do like a snug but mobile fit. I have been using them for mountain biking and working out in the cold. They seem to have pretty good ventilation though they have a more ventilated glove available as well. One thing I don't like is the logo tag on the side of the glove just below the pinki finger. The glove has enough "mechanix" logos without it. We get it, they're mechanix gloves! Overall awesome gloves though.5Other than slightly tight they are very comfortable and they work with touch screens Fit is a little snug for my liking, but not a deal breaker. Cushion on knuckles and fingers saved some pain within minutes of wearing. Other than slightly tight they are very comfortable and they work with touch screens. Only problem is they hold smells like crazy. Got a little gasoline on them the first day and they still wreak of gas (a week later).***Update: Smell finally got better after about 2 weeks. 4Great Cold Weather Gloves I've had these for about 2 months now and I gotta say, I've never been so happy with a pair of gloves!I'd been searching for a good pair of gloves to keep my hands warm when running or shoveling snow(I live in Northwest Indiana and we've been having an insane winter this year). I ordered these because they weren't terribly expensive and I liked the way they looked. Now I've owned several pairs of gloves labeled as "Cold Weather" or "Thermal" gloves, but when I'd wear them in the winter, I'd always end up with numb fingers. These Mechanix gloves are not labeled as being for cold weather, but I've worn these for as long as 2 hours out in 10 degrees(with substantial winds)and never once have my hands even begun to feel cold. They're not super thick, and have amazing dexterity, yet they keep your hands warm without them overheating. The only reason I give them a four is because the rubber on the knuckle of the index finger on the left glove(if you look at the picture, it would be at the "T" part where it says "Impact")has become separated. It's not too bad, and it doesn't affect the performance of the glove, but I still wish it wasn't detached.Great gloves, definitely worth the price. If you're considering buying cold weather gloves, get these. You won't be disappointed. 4Although I fix it with a Loctite Super Glue, I am still kinda disappointed that 4 ...First reason why I gave my Mechanix Wear M-Pact Large Gloves (Black/Red) four stars is because the red strips on the fingers started to come off. By the time I realized it, two of them got lost (maybe on the way when I was biking from work) and another three of them started to come off halfway. Although I fix it with a Loctite Super Glue, I am still kinda disappointed that 4 days after using it, the red strips on the fingers are coming off. Maybe some of the buyers are buying this gloves because they want to use it for their heavy duty activities, but I bought this particular glove because it looks badass. Furthermore when I first have this glove, I was under the impression that the colored rubber decorations and labels are one with the whole black rubber that was covering the top of the glove, but I was wrong. Lets just hope that the rest of the decorations and whole rubber material won't do the same thing. The second reason is because one the fabric in between the fingers are sticking out. It not as if I use the gloves the entire day. I only use it for almost an hour a day back in forth from my home to my work and its not as if I ride my bike like some guy who was doing extreme stunts or something. Plus, its been 4 days after I bought it when I started to notice the problem. For now I give 4 stars because of these problems. Since the glove is still functional as it was described, I will continue to use it. Although I am hoping that this glove would last at least a year or so, but if it starts to fall off or get torn for no reason at all before the end of the year, then I will stop buying this type of glove.4These are not real MechanixFake knockoffs. I ve been using mechanix gloves for years now including their M-Pact line. I ve loved their gloves and they have saved my hands on many occasions. That being said these are definitely not from mechanix brand. The materials are all different and cheaper than the real ones and the fit is way off. These gloves seem very long and do not fit your hand well. I work in an automotive shop for a living and my past pairs of mechanix have lasted 2-3 month in the past, these started ripping in a day. I thought I could save a few bucks by ordering on amazon but I guess it s back to the auto parts store where I can see that they are the real thing. If you want some quality gloves, go buy some real mechanix and don t let these poor quality rip-offs tarnish their good name.1Good Motorcycle Gloves Really happy with these. I purchased them for motorcycle riding, and they have D3O padding in the palms (which is a feature I missed the first time I evaluated these). Dexterity, grip, and padding is great.I unfortunately had a chance to "try them out" from a safety perspective, when I had a low side crash at <10 MPH. Gloves held up like a champ (although I can't say the same for my elbow and knee).Would buy again. 5First time buying these via Amazon. They ripped within less than a week.I love Mechanix gloves. I've been at my job for almost 11 years now, and just about the past 6 years I've been using Mechanix gloves. I've even went to their official site to ask someone personally on how to wash them which they kindly replied. This is my first time buying these gloves via Amazon. Obviously with the recent wet weather the past 2 weeks of having them, I did what I normally do to wash these: which is to soak it in warm water with laundry detergent, gently rubbing the palm side with my fingers to clean them, gently wring it and then throw it inside my dryer (placing them on top of a drying rack so it doesn't spin inside the dryer.) Well, today after putting them on and working within the first 20 minutes at my job, the forefinger on the right hand side.. just ripped open. These pair of gloves will be the first pair that has been ripped within less than 2 weeks. I usually have gloves for as long as 8 months to a little over a year. I'll keep them, but very unfortunate to see something like this to something that is fairly new.2
