    Fall apart quick Fit well, work great for about a month and a half then fall apart.The leather is poor quality. It does not last under daily use. For as expensive as these gloves are I should be able to get more than a month and a half out of one pair.The gloves come apart at the seams, the leather wears very thin very quickly. The Velcro tabs at the wrists are really useless after a few days.I have uploaded five pictures to go along with this review. So you can see what I'm talking about. In a few of these pictures you will see a pair that is a month and a half old sitting beside a brand-new pair just to compare.I am a construction worker. And use these gloves on a daily basis installing walls, sheet rock, and assorted interior finishing products. 2Very good to me. I love these. They look and Feel sturdier than others I've owned. I bought these in 2011 when I was in Afghanistan as a mechanic. and after that I still used them here at home and at work lifting heavy stuff, using impacts and gripping stuff. They lasted. BUT I will admit. the seam on the left glove wrist palm area tore within a week (4Star for that.). I doubted they would last after that. But 4 Years later Here they are. I'm about to order a second set.I'm guessing the stitching issue is like other things have been, sometimes you get a solid set, then sometimes you might get a dud. oh well. 4Decent Glove Tip of the middle finger wore out before the glove hardly had any real wear, rendering the pair useless. Won t buy these again, as I have had the same results with both pair I ve owned. The leather is just too soft on the tips. 3Extremely disappointed At one point these gloves are the only things I would purchase as they always seemed to last through at least 3 months of heavy construction. Worn 5 days a week for 8-12 hours a day, they just never wore out. Now it seems they have changed. Right out of the box the velcro would not stay strapped for more than a second without coming undone, and after a weeks or wearing the fingers are splitting. Now we are paying the same high price for a seriously low quality item. I will NEVER buy again, and Ive been using these for 3 years. 2These gloves look nice, but they can't work Save your money. These gloves look nice, but they can't work. I used them one day with a shovel and rake, then handled 400 bricks. The fingers on the left hand stitching gave way exposing my fingers and I am right handed. They are not worth the extra money, find a the less expensive pair that can work, they are out there.I bought the Mechanix Wear CG Impact Pro Glove XL also, they will be used next. I hope they fair better! I'll let you know.By the way, I'm 64 years old, didn't think I worked them that hard. 1Good gloves but still looking for some better. Better than most gloves but still looking for something better. After splitting, loading, and then stacking five cords of oak firewood, the outer black material on the fingertips has warn off. Not through the leather yet but I bet it won't be long. All the Mechanic gloves are comfortable and this is the best pair of gloves from them yet. I wish they would produce a pair out of kevlar or something that will really last. Haven't found that pair yet but looking. For now, these will do I guess. 4Not exactly heavy duty Wore these for one day and the black padding is worn off several fingers and the seam on the thumb opened up entirely. I'm an average-sized man and my hands are not petite, but I like a snug fit and ordered the small size, which are comfortable but still a little sloppy. The gloves are also not very breathable and I had sweat running down the back of both hands halfway through the first day wearing them. Not what I was expecting for the money. 2Nice gloves, well worth the money! Nicely made gloves arrived packaged well and on time.They fit my husband...well...like a glove! He keeps the in the garage so he rubbed them with mink oil to prevent them from drying out.The leather is soft but very sturdy.Great gloves for using the chainsaw and other outdoor tools because they offer protection without the bulkiness or stiffness of the other types of leather gloves.A recommended purchase! 5Durable, comfortable, good protection. Use these gloves for riding my motorcycle. Good protection from bugs and stones. Long lasting. Sure grip even when wet. Comfortable. Think I have purchased 3 pair already. I always have a spare. Since I live in a warm climate I can wear them most of the year. Not for cold weather. 5Not worth the extra money I am detailing my experience here (both of the gloves and with Amazon). The rating I give is based on the gloves only and not on Amazon.I bought these gloves after having a decent experience with the non-heavy duty commercial grade impact gloves. Those eventually wore holes in the thumbs and one of the index fingers. I only used the gloves for home projects here and there and was somewhat disappointed at the quick wear. I decided to by the Heavy Duty version assuming they would not wear out as fast. Here are the details:My experience with Amazon with ordering:I used my Amazon Prime account expecting delivery in 2 days. Amazon shipped as always quickly and 2 days later they were reported as delivered. However, the gloves were nowhere to be found. I tracked the package and saw Amazon was using a UPS service which hands packages off to the USPS. So I decided to give it another day or so since USPS is well the USPS. I wasn t in a huge rush and decided to give Amazon a little grace period. Still no delivery. I got a bit frustrated at that point that I pay to have delivery in 2 days and find out that Amazon is handing off packages to the USPS which, maybe it s just the area I live in, seems to lose packages far more than UPS or FedEx. I called Amazon and spoke to a customer service rep and explained the package was lost. I even explained I didn t pay for Amazon Prime to have them hand off to USPS to lose my package. The Amazon rep was apologetic and shipped out a new pair of gloves and also told me they would make sure UPS delivered the package. 2 days later UPS delivered the package. Thank you Amazon! Thank you UPS! USPS consistent in being poorly operated.Amazon is not perfect, but it s awesome that they are a huge company that still cares about service. Any time I ve had an issue with them they have made it right.The gloves arrived too small!I went to Mechanix site to help determine the size glove I needed. Based on a hand measurement system they listed I needed large. I had thrown my old pair of gloves away so honestly I couldn t remember if they were large or XL. So I ordered large gloves. When I finally got the gloves delivered (as detailed above) they large gloves were too small. SIGH! So I called Amazon AGAIN (not their fault) and RMA d the large gloves. Amazon shipped out the XL gloves with no hassle. Another YAY for Amazon. Either I have oddly shaped hands or the Mechanix system of measurement isn t quite right.The gloves themselves:One I got the correct glove size I put them on. They were a bit stiff compared to my non-heavy duty commercial grade gloves, but I expected that from reviews I had read and watched on Youtube. Heavy Duty means heavier duty material, right? I got right to work building a woodshed in my back yard. I sunk 6 posts, cut notches to inset my joists, typical building stuff.Yada Yada Yada the shed is finished but my gloves have holes in the black extra protection layer on both index fingers thus the not-so-favorable rating. If the non-heavy duty model of these gloves lasted a year before having holes worn clean through the gloves, but the heavy duty version already has holes wearing through the extra protection layer on the index fingers after 1 project what did I pay extra money for?If I could go back now I d buy the same version non-heavy duty commercial grade gloves I had before and save a few bucks. 2
