    But these.... You'll be happy that you did. I own probably 20 of these lights. They are mounted on my fence so I can see my black dog when he goes outside at night to potty. I also have several mounted on my house where there is no electrical and they work great as you walk by. I love these. I have never had any problems with any of them. I just took one down to replace the batteries after 5 years of working. I always recommend them to my friends. 5VERY DISAPPOINTED I bought 4 of these after reading the reviews, I thought these would work the best. The first one worked good, then I received the other three. I allowed them to charge the batteries for 3 days as the instructions stated, then started setting them up as if to use them. The first one worked good, then I tried the second one and it would not show any signs of activation. The third one came on and then went dim, it tried to work a couple of times and quite working. The forth unit came on a couple of times and then it quit working also. I guess 1 out of 4 at too bad for some folks but I want 4 of 4 to work if I'm paying $40.00 each. So I'm returning them all, I'm not going to try my luck 30 days down the road. 2Good product based on my experience. I have 3 of these. I bought 2 from a local hardware store several years ago. They are still working perfectly. Back then I paid about $25.00 each. They no longer carry them so I picked another from AMAZON. More than I wanted to pay, but still worth the price. Well built, reliable. I didn't want to go to a lower priced and lower quality unit. And i didn't want to pay more for something I wasn't sure of. Used one unit over the shed door.Then got creative with a 2nd unit to light the inside when motion detected inside.A small rectangular hole in the wall lets solar charge from the outside and light shines inside.My solution to an outside building with not electrical access.If my experiment did not work, I would expand the hole to become the corner window I had original intended make. 5Great light - but check the batteries! We bought 2 of these for closing the driveway gate that latches into ground peg holes after dark. They are very bright and impressive for solar lights and do a great job. That said, one did not seem to work after the 3-day charging period. We replaced the batteries, and it worked beautifully thereafter. Also, remember these depend on the light sensor to come on only after dark. (They won't come on if you drive up to them while shining car headlights on them). I would have given them 5 stars if the batteries didn't require the troubleshooting. We are ordering some more for a few other places around the house. I would recommend them for anyone with a similar need for motion/dusk-activated light. 4Works as advertised! This light worked great along the walkway between my house and garage. It worked so well I added another light nearer the door. Each light illuminates an area of about ten feet in circumference with a bright, cool light. The light turns on quickly with motion but seems to go on fastest if motion is detected from the side (in other words if you approach straight on the light takes a bit longer to turn on, but it is not a major difference). The light closest to the door turns on almost instantly as the door is opened.I think this is an incredible product. It lights the area well, turns on quickly, and is easy to install (it took me about 2 minutes). I also bought a MAXSA Motion-Activated Security Floodlight to light inside my garage and it works great too. 5Only reliable solar LED motion wireless I have found after dozens We are big fans of solar LED motion lighting.After 2 years of installing them on our walkways, yard, landscaping, night lights in the hallway, etc.We found that most of the outdoor ones, are flaky. They go bad in some form after only a few months.Whether we got them from Lowe's, Home Depot, or here at Amazon.We have had this one for almost 2 years, out in the weather, in our yard, and it's always working.One of the more expensive ones, and less attractive compared to the dozen or so we've order here on amazon, but it's the only one still working every night.Will be buying more soon. 5Nifty solar powered light I bought the Maxsa Wedge about a month ago. Installing it was easy. It felt a little flimsy, but well-sealed from the environment.The light emitted from the unit is not like a 150 watt halogen, but it's sufficient to find your car keys, light up a velvety dark area with a nice white beam of LED light for about a minute. The motion detector is very smart and only comes on when it is dark enough that any normal human being can't see. It's also sensitive enough to pick up motion from a good 15 feet away when it is perched at a height of 12-13 feet. The wife hated the white color of the plastic...so I painted it the same color of the house and it is now undetectable...unless you look for it. I am pleased with this little light because it really does serve a need and does a sufficient job of lighting up a part of the driveway which had no access to light, or electricity.Cheers,X 5Good but not great. I received this last June and was so impressed with the ease of installation and operation. Until last month when it stopped working. Took me a month to find the key so I could take it down, did that today and nothing looks wrong, batters in good shape Just no longer charge. Just a little frustrating to have to find another one probably a different manufacturer, take down the bracket and install a new one. I would call the manufacturer but Amazon doesn t list a contact. Be warned. 2
