    No audio. Doesn't work. Looks cool but not worth it 1It works until it doesn't. I've gone through several of these. I work patrol shift in law enforcement, this is just used in conjunction with my regular patrol uniform, and isn't subjected to particularly harsh environments. However, they simply fail after several months of use without warning. Luckily they're cheap - so I now have stocked up so when the next one fails I don't have to wait for a few days to have it replaced. Amazon is so-so on honoring the alleged warranty thus far. 3Mixed So it works, but not the most comfortable. Pros-works well, priced decently. I pad less the $9 for it, so I wasn't expecting it to last a week. So far, it's going on 4 weeks and the sound hasn't gone down or cut in or out at all. Sound is crisp and clear! Cons- the cord is short, roughly 15 inches long. I bought an extender since I use this on my right ear and carry my pac-set on my left hip. No a huge deal, but it's an inconvenience. The loop that goes around the ear doesn't hold a shape. I'm constantly having to reposition it to fit snuggly. It also feels cheap, but again I only paid about $9 so. I think I'm going to order something else, and keep this as a backup. 3Good short-term until failure I have purchased 4 of these due to the low price but need to find a more durable brand. I use these for 12-hour shifts but replace the solid earbud with the "hear-through" earmolds to use with a 2-way Motorola radio shoulder mic. They work well short-term but all have failed after a few weeks of rotating shifts. All of them lose the connection where the clear tube (female end) locks into the black part (male end). 2They short out too easy I have ordered 2 or 3 of these exact earpiece sets over the course of a couple years. I have used them in the course of my job as a jailer and a street cop and WHEN they work they work great. However, the last couple sets I ve ordered start malfunctioning only after using them for a couple of weeks to a month or two. The coiled wire seems to short and have problems with the drum portion and therefore cause the sound to be muffled. If you work in a quiet atmosphere then it wouldn t matter too much but if you re in a life or death situation it s worthless because you can t hear well. 2PASS ON THIS EARPIECE!!!!!!!!!!! The price says it all. Why is this earpiece so cheap? Well that's the reason why, is because it is a cheap piece of junk. The ear piece worked great for a month, just enough time to pass so the return window to close and not being able to exchange it or get my money back.... and now it doesn't work properly. Nothing happened to the earpiece to make the functionality change; i.e. it wasn't damaged during wearing it, no wear and tear on the earpiece, it simply stopped working right. Now, any sound coming from the earpiece sounds like someone trying to talk under water, Save your $10 because this earpiece is a piece of junk. 1Don't waste your money I purchased two of these. One for me and one for my coworker to use on our work tablets that uses Zello PTT Walkie Talkie app. It worked fine for that purpose. We used them 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for the last 7 weeks. However, in the last couple of days, we both noticed that we were missing some of the transmissions. The connector plugged into the table was no longer making consistent contact.In less than two months these are now unreliable, therefore unusable. Of course, the return period expired 14 day before it stopped working. 1Unreliable and will ultimately fail after a short period of time. Complete waste of your money... I DO NOT recommend this product to anyone in the LE profession. I purchased this in June of 2018 and after only three months of regular use, it stopped working in September. I debated leaving a review since then but decided it was time to leave one since this was the second one I purchased. I had purchased one of these last year and got about eight months of use out of it when it did the same thing. I figured maybe I got a bad one so I decided to give it another try this year. Instead I got the exact same problem only this time just three months of use instead of eight. I tried everything from cleaning out the ear piece to reconnecting everything and nothing worked. It was never submerged in water and never got excessive water on it with the way I had it set up. Guys at my department who have also purchased this same exact product had the same experience with it. If you're looking for a decent ear piece, look for another brand. I will be looking for something else. Completely unreliable and disappointed in the sub par quality. 1Works, not as expected though. Seems like a good item for the money. The jack is solid in the radio, and the volume seems fine. HOWEVER - unlike other ones I have used, when you install this, it does not silence the speaker mic on the radio itself. That makes it more or less useless to me. The point of this earpiece is not only to be able to hear in high ambient noise environments (crowds, live music events, etc), but to keep the outside world from knowing what my dispatcher is relaying to me over the radio. Not sure if it is a cable, jack, or what issue, but on that count, I'm very, very disappointed. PS, I'm using it with a Motorola, one of the compatibility listed radios. 3... car with brakes on switching and this thing is awesome! I usually wear earplugs so I was worried ... Work as a conductor on the railroad and a lot of times I'm working along side an engine or dragging a car with brakes on switching and this thing is awesome! I usually wear earplugs so I was worried that this would let a lot of noise in, but it works to cancel out the outside noise and lets me hear my radio a lot clearer. Super comfortable, sometimes if there's no radio chatter I have to touch it to make sure its still there and I'm just not walking around without my radio on. 5
