    Hard to unlock this padlock My son really wanted a padlock that he could setup to be his own word combination. The setup is easy but unfortunately the plastic bands that you put over the metal lock do not sit tightly on the lock mechanism which makes it hard to line up properly to unlock. He has to fiddle with it for a little bit to get it lined up properly to unlock and sometime you really have to yank on it. 3Just Okay Keep in mind with this product that you are SEVERELY limited with the words you can use since the wheels (and extra wheels) included are very limited and there's no duplication. In some cases if you want a particular word with letters falling at the same range in the alphabet you would have to buy two of these and cannibalize one for duplicative letter wheels (if you need two R's for instance).That said, it's easy to use. The combination it ships with is WORD3. Make sure that's alligned with the MASTER logo on the front (to the left of the letters) and the shackle will open. Once it's open, pull off the spring-loaded chrome end cap on the right side (the one without the Master logo) and then pull off the individual plastic wheels and put them back on to make the word/number combination you want.If all are lined up wit the red dots under the wheels you can slide the end cap back on, press in the shackle, spin the wheels, make sure it locks, spin the wheels back to the combination you used and make sure it unlocks.That's all there is to it.This padlock seems okay for like a gym locker but I wouldn't consider it heavy duty in any way. Keep your planned use of this in mind when choosing this lock. 2Therefore, a "large print" padlock! I'm blind without my glasses and they're always in my locker when I'm swimming! Therefore, a "large print" padlock! 5good for what it is my only complaint is that the plastic can be cut off easily, but at least they let you know which colour your getting. the fault is in the product not the seller. i wouldn't use the actual product to secure something that is of much more value than my gym bag. 5great lock My only criticism is that I wish there were more letter/number wheels included to allow me to make more combinations. 5Four Stars I can actually read it very good 4As if that wasn't annoying enough, now it DOESN'T open at ALL I have had this for 3 weeks and have used it maybe 4 times... I found it tricky to open, had to position the characters perfectly yet when you moved one it would move another next to it. As if that wasn't annoying enough, now it DOESN'T open at ALL!! I have no idea how I'm going to open my lock box....anyone have any ideas, please let me know .... PIECE OF GARBAGE! 1Poor packaging design. Arrived with 1 of replacement letter/number dials broke in half. I was unable to teset to my preferred combo since the spring loaded cap will not come off and the broken dial. Will be returning. 1I have used many resettable locks but this one isn't good I reset the lock and used it twice. Then it wouldn't stay latched. It's the right combo - I can lock it. I wouldn't buy another. 2It had one job Save your money. Horrible quality. Doesn t actually lock. Only two of the letter wheels can rotate when it is locked and even those wheels are difficult to rotate. When it is unlocked it completely falls apart into all its component pieces. What a joke. Had one like it that I purchased in a store and loved it so ordered this one. Definitely not the same! 1
