    fails repeatedly when needed most This is a premium priced caulking gun but a critical plastic part that screws the barrel to the handle keeps failing. The male threads of this part do not seat deeply into the female threads of the handle and when you use a thick caulk it gives way. Such a critical part should fit better and probably should be made out of metal. The rest of the tool is well made but one critical part can make all the difference. I would certainly change its name from "heavy duty" to "light duty." 2First off I believe in Malco products but not this ... First off I believe in Malco products but not this one . It literally didn't last a week , I figure someone else makes these for Malco and they just slap a sticker on it because it's not near the quality of any of the other Malco tools I own 1Plastic part cracked and broke apart. The first time I used this, the black plastic push disk cracked & broke apart, rendering the tool useless. Everything else was strong and made of metal. It's a shame this one little, but vital part is plastic. 1Great buy Love it bought 2 5Rock-solid caulk gun This caulk gun is a heavy-duty tool. I've already used it to dispense very viscous glue (in other words hard to push material) and worked great. These guys (the designers & manufacturers) put a lot of ingenuity at work to come out with this great caulk gun. 5High Pressure caulking gun Very well made caulking gun for cartridges requiring high pressure. It worked great with PC-CONCRETE epoxy. Cheap caulking guns are only good for using low pressure cartridges. This gun will handle virtually any type of cartridge. Also like the ability to twist the cartridge holder (red part) to get a better position in tight spots. 5Tough built. Quality I do residential hvac install so I do a lot of sealing and this is my third Malco caulk gun in many years and wouldn't buy any other brand. This is a quality tool just like the rest of thier stuff. Tough built to stand up to day to day use for many years 5Fantastic for high viscosity caulks like Quad Fantastic for high viscosity caulks like Quad.A little too fast for interior latex but works well in a pinch. (I use a different gun for interrupt caulks) as a window and door installer, it's difficult to fund a gun that can handle thicker sealants and this one works great.Also has an adjustment for when the trigger wears in and has too much play. I recommend this gun to any professionals in the window and door industry. 5Excellent caulk gun. This is definitely the best Caulking gun I have ever used. The action is very smooth and you can advance the plunger in very small and precise increments, or a full handle pull will dispense a lot of product.
