    Good cutterWorking well 5I should have bought this a long time ago! Does a great job!10 seconds into trying this, I was wondering why I didn't buy one a long time ago. The original cutter head trimmed many, many cartridges, but finally got so dull that it was grinding the edge down instead of cutting it. I tried sharpening it - and I'm usually pretty good at sharpening tools - but it did no good. I would advise anyone with a Lyman case trimmer to forget the cheaper replacement head and buy this one. It really should be the one that comes with the tool. I read some other reviews that said they had trouble with the blades being uneven, but that was not the case with the one I received - it worked perfectly. 5My original Lyman tool steel cutter head was duller than ...My original Lyman tool steel cutter head was duller than I realized. This carbide cutter did the job in a fraction of the time with very little effort. I purchased the Lyman Power Adapter with it. ITS A BIT EXPENSIVE BUT WELL WORTH IT. 5The Only way to fly.My original cutting head was worn out so I ordered a pair of new standard cutting heads and trimmed close to 1000 cases of various calibers. Even with the new heads I have difficulty removing the pilot from each case after trimming. The brass is not cleanly trimmed away and some flattens and accumulates inside and outside the neck requiring me to exert great effort to remove the pilot. This has become more and more difficult even after using my third new cutting head. Trimming cases became a frustrating exercise in removing the pilot from the case each and every time, no matter which of the many calibers I trimmed. I decided to get the carbide cutter with the hope making trimming not such a terrible chore. I just trimmed about 100 30-30 W cases with the carbide and I am extremely pleased. The cutter works very quickly, actually cleanly cuts the excess brass, and does it with little effort and no stuck pilot in the case necks. I have not used it long enough to give it 5 stars, but I am extremely pleased with the efficiency of the cutting head. If you hate trimming as I do, especially if you get stuck pilots, do try a carbide cutter. I compare it to using carbide sizing dies vs the old steel ones and the attendant lubing and cleaning of greasy, messy cases. . 4Five Starsworks as designed 5Five StarsAwesome cutter head 5Great ImprovementMuch cleaner and faster than the cutter that came with older electric trimmer. 5
