Great replacement for 200W incandescent bulbsMy garage has several fixtures that I've always put 200W incandescent bulbs in. Besides being energy sucking hogs, they are getting harder to find. I bought a pair of these LEDs in 5000K and have been very happy with them. We put up a new light fixture on our front porch and I robbed a bulb from the garage for it. Plenty bright, but the 5000K bulbs are very harsh and glaringly WHITE for that space. I bought a pair of these in 3000K and it's perfect.5BrightOf course, the ultimate issue is how long will they last and that remains unknown. But they are bright and feel well made. If they last a reasonable time, I would definitely order them again.5Really like that they spread light like a regular light bulbThis provides a lot of light and I liked that it comes in several color temperatures. This is a good way to get a lot more light from a single porcelain socket. And it doesn't look weird like many high output LED lights.5Big but very brightI m pleased with the brightness of these bulbs. They made a big difference. The only problem was that I had to modify one of my lamp shades to accommodate the very large bulb. If the shade has any metal support that fits close to the standard bulb, this one won t fit and the shade will have to be modified or don t buy the bulb.5Superb high output light ~ Only place I could find it was on AmazonI'm giving this 5 stars, even though only one of the 2 worked. The other one wouldn't light at all, but the seller refunded my money.I searched endlessly to find a high output light for my floor lamp. This one does an admirable job, and is exactly what I was looking for. Please be aware that this bulb is so large that it won't fit in a standard harp. The only way I was able to use it, was to purchase an 11"-12" harp, then pull the sides of the harp away from each other to make it wider. After doing that; it was still difficult to install, as I had to VERY carefully manage to get the bulb to fit in the harp without breaking it. I highly recommend wearing glasses while installing this bulb in a harp, as breakage could cause serious eye injury.5Not 250-300 watt equivalent!There is no way these bulbs are anywhere near 250-300 watt equivalent.Was excited to get these and finally have sufficient light in master bedroom. I have two of these bulbs on in torchiers right now. It should be as brightly lit as an operating room in there.The room is still darker than my other bedroom, which has 3 traditional 60 watt incandescent bulbs in a ceiling fixture.1Nice and bright for only using 30W - WATCH OUT however...Used these to replace 40W CFL bulbs. Loved how bright it is right when it's turned on (vs. CFL). The 3000K light is perfect for dining/work room use. It's whiter than 2700K (orange-ish hue) but not so white that it feels blu-ish.It's actually also brighter than the 40W CFL that I used to have... (and uses only 30W).DO make sure your lighting unit can fit the larger bulb. It is quite large.. in that it's about 3" x 4" cylindrical shaped.. and longer than standard bulbs...Longevity unknown as I've only had them for 2 weeks. Hope these do last ($28 for 2!)...Bought in August, by end of Sept one of the two has gone dimmer. While I don't have a photo lightmeter to measure the output; I do have a Watt-Meter. The "good" bulb rreads 25watt being used (not 30watt as claimed); the other buld is reading 14watt used... So it's luck of the draw and I'm changing the star rating to 2 stars. I might as well buy 13.5 watt LED bulbs with 1600 lumens and not overpaid like $14 for each of these bulbs .. with one not lasting even 2 months. Mind you these are only turned on/off 2x a day at most (main living area, once on for the night stays on until everyone goes to bed). Very disappointed...2very bright and no flickerIt is very bright!I was concerned about flicker, since many cheap LEDs directly use rectified AC and flicker at 120Hz. I didn't notice any flicker on this one, and I verified the power supply is good by removing the diffuser and measuring it directly. Zero AC component whatsoever, and about 48V output. I think the output is constant-current, based on the changing voltage as the bulb heated up.All in all, good quality as far as I can tell.5Great lights, serious concerns about reliability/lifespanThese are some hefty lights that might not fit in every fixture/enclosure, but they were exactly what I was looking for.I had recessed ceiling lighting that was designed for 'normal' bulbs and the room just never seemed bright enough. I replaced it with these and it was a tight fit but now the room now uses less electricity and is lit perfectly.EDIT: One of the bulbs failed after 11 months. Removing stars as the product is described as having a 30000 hour average operational life and it did not come close to meeting that.3Really bright bulbs!Super bright! Replaced 3 porch deck lights overhead with these and it lights my whole backyard and the 50ft wide canal waterway!I used 3 of these in my 24x16 shop and it's like daylight when working at night.5
