Customer Reviews

Plagued with a few problems, overall okay Lights work really well, went along with my red LED fans in my case pretty good. The velcro included is pretty garbage, it's not nearly strong enough to hold a tube up top a case against gravity. Fortunately, I placed my tube in such a way where it didn't need velcro up top. Still have no idea how I pulled it off. The switch is a nice feature, though I find it completely unnecessary and would actually rather have the switch on the cyan box itself, though I do acknowledge others might find it very useful, especially those who keep their computers running 24-7. The cables are way too short. If I had a full tower case I guarantee I wouldn't be able to arrange the tubes accordingly. Overall, it's an okay kit for the price. 4Just like others mentioned, more orange than red, and bad velcro I decided to take a chance on these even after reading a number of other reviews stating that these tubes are more orange in color than red. I agree, they are more on the orange side than red. Also, as others have mentioned, the velcro that comes in the package is no good and doesn't stick for any length of time and the tubes will fall inside your case if they are mounted on top/sides. I purchase some velcro at Home Depot and cut it to size and that worked. The tubes work and give off decent light along with the ability to turn the light on/off with the back cover insert, but the fact that the color is on the orange side, and I had to purchase additional velcro to connect these, they get three stars.Highlights:* If you expect a red similar to your red led fans, or on/off lights, these are not going to match* Purchase some good velcro to attach these, the included velcro is not worth your time/effort and frustration. 3Okay product. Cheap price, cheap quality. This kit is just okay. As others have noted, the light is a pleasing red color when viewed indirectly (reflected off case and components), but is slightly orangey if the tube is directly visible. I found the brightness lacking. In my office with bright fluorescent lighting it was barely noticeable as any brighter than the existing red-orange LED fans. The wires that run from the tubes to the inverter are too short in my opinion. They limit the installation options. I would estimate they are about 12-inches long, but have not measured. The wire from the inverter to the PCI-bezel switch however is plenty long. The power wire to the switch is also sufficiently long and terminates in a Molex pass-through tap. Velcro provided was VERY sticky, which is great and leaves me confident they will stay in place much better than others that provided foam tape or nothing. Overall, I have owned better CC lights, but I will keep these because my gripes about them are not sufficient to deal with the hassle of a return. 3Great all around. I have to say that I'm rather pleased with this purchase. They do have a slight orange tint, but most would just call it red.The wires are a little short. I installed these in my Phantom 410, and an extra inch or two on the wires would have been optimal. Larger cases might have problems if you try to put them on opposite ends of the case. The switch on the back is a good addition. These are rather bright, so they can be kind of annoying if you have your computer in a bedroom or such, so the being able to easily turn them off is a necessity, in my eyes.I didn't bother using the provided velcro (partially because of the complains other people had). I used the small zip-ties that came with my case.Overall, if you're looking to add some flair to your computer, these are very well made and very affordable. 4Good lights I used these and like them they do what they should but here are 2 suggestions 1) make the controller box black - the ppl using these are using them for aesteics and having a weird green aqua colored box isn't helping anyone in that department. 2) use black wires and not white - again this is a terrible choice for the intended purpose of the product for the same reason. The seller was fine, I am dinging the product a star for thoughtless design in the color choices for the wires and box, and the velcro it came with sticky side would not hold these up so I used some 3M double sided grey version. 4Does The Trick! I purchased this to spice up my Cooler Master Storm Trooper Case and it certainly does the trick. As this being the first time I have installed cold cathode lights into a computer case I have to say it's a rather easy installation process. I wasn't able to connect it in the way I particularly wanted to but I settled with what appears to be the traditional setup, one along the bottom and one along the side of the motherboard which surely illuminates the inside of my case effectively. Some reviewers before me have mentioned these lights to be reasonably orange and I have to agree with that to an extent. They do give off a slight hint of orange but they appear to be dominately red. Honestly, you probably won't be able to see the difference. When it comes down to the velcro strips I'm not too sure whether or not they will hold up as the adhesive side doesn't seem to be very adhesive, we'll see whether it holds up! Other than that, if you're look for an inexpensive source of lighting for your case look no further. It'll do the trick at an affordable price!Update: Unfortunately after around a week after writing this the velcro gave out. I'll have to find another way to mount the lights onto my chassis. 4Look Awesome. Installed these a few days ago, and I still grin at my case when I turn it on.They are not Quite 100% red, they have a bit of an orange tinge to them. But they still matched all the red LED lights in my Cooler Master HAF X case. The guy that said they're pink either got a bad unit or is partially colorblind. It looks like a sith lord computer case now.The lights are nice and bright, colored nicely, built nicely, and don't seem to put off much heat. They are incredibly easy to install and come with everything you need, even a screw to hold the switch plate on the back of your case. The price is reasonable, and free shipping makes it a great deal. 5Bright Red Case Lights This product exceeded my expectations. There is an on/off switch that mounts at the expansion slots. There is a connector wire that plugs into the inverter. There are 2 plugs on inverter that run to the tube lights.PROS:1. easy to install2. nice and bright compared to other products3. nice long cable from on/off switch to inverterCONS:1. You can only place the 2 lights a limited distance apart. The 2 cables from the inverter to the tube lights could be a few inches longer. If you have a full tower case, you will need to plan carefully. If you have a full tower case, I would recommend buying 2 of these (4 tube lights & 2 on/off switches)I had purchased 2m led rope lights that did not light up the case adequately.I purchased these tube lights as a brighter solution...much brighter than the led rope lights. 5Light up your computer!! I always do a little bit of research when it comes to buying products. As an avid gamer and PC building enthusiast, this product has not let me down one bit. Just like the descriptions, it's two 12" sticks of red LED lights that can be powered through a Molex connector.PRO:-The price is affordable and it's a quick way of lighting up any computer with a side window to show it off.-The power brick comes with a glue-like tape that is really sturdy.-The lights are strong and have been lasting me about three months so far with no problems.-It comes with a switch that either swipes left or right. This takes up 1 PCI-E slot but it's worth it.CON:-The power brick is an ugly white that would show if not placed properly in the case.-The wires from the power switch to the power brick are bright colors that show if not placed properly in the case.-The double sided tape they give you aren't the most sturdy. 5Beautiful. So. I got these last night, they arrived pretty quick, seeing as I ordered them three days after a motherboard, paid no shipping on them, and ultra fast shipping on the motherboard and they still beat the motherboard here. They're fairly easy to install, the packaging gives you enough instructions to go off of, even though they're not very clear. Mine lit up pretty well, in red, very nice. I actually didn't have space for both in the main part of the case, so I set one in my cable management compartment to give that a nice glow. They're pretty easy to use, the connectors are a bit of a pain (litteraly) to disconnect, but that's not a big deal.I shorted my PSU to turn it on without my motherboard and these babies lit right up, both in full working order, and they look beautiful. I'd buy these again, and probably will, in the future. If you need some sexy lighting, these are the way to go. The Velcro is about a 7 out of 10 for strength. They use a really nice adhesive to stick to the case, no residue, and a strong connection. I wish the PCI bracket switch was not baby blue as my entire case is black, and my motherboard is black/red, and the lights are red. But whatever. I can scrape off the baby blue from the bracket. I wholeheartedly reccomend this product. 5
