    fantastic speaker light combination Very easy to install i have installed 3 sets of 4 speakers in various areas of office and home works great .I would have liked to be able to edit the Bluetooth connection name so it is easier to identify which set of speakers you access but until they can come up with that patch it is still a great speaker within the lighting system. Highly recommended and that it can connect up to 8 speakers makes it all the more reason to use. Quality of speakers are excellent too. of course with the lights they are great as well. and dim-able too. 5Must have speakers in bathroom This is my first review of a product on amazon. I felt a review was necessary because how impressed I am with this product. The music does not cut out like some other reviews stated. Nor is it too quiet, even with water running or fan on. The sound is crystal clear and the light emits an insane amount of light. My only suggestion is to purchase the 2700K LED model (the higher K models are just too white for my liking, but it is a personal preference). Also, to make the light dimmable requires the purchase and installation of a switch, which can be purchased at Lowe's and is an easy installation. Making the light dimmable is a must in my opinion because the light is just too bright otherwise. Hope this helps, I attached a video taken shortly after installation. 5Bad product This is our third one and we have had nothing but continual bad experience with this product. I wish there was someone from Amazon to contact or would contact us because we are completely dissatisfied. Every time we have received this product in the mail it is either damaged or defective or is missing parts. All we wanted was just a LED light Bluetooth speaker combination, not so many complications. If we would've known we would've had this many complications, we would've went ahead and just bought this item from Home Depot. 1Sort of works.... BUT This works great when its connected. The main issue is most people turn they lights off at the end of the day. If your light is off long enough for the battery to die, you loose your bluetooth connection. Then when you turn the light back on, you have to wait hours for it to recharge the battery before the red light goes off....then you can reconnect to bluetooth. After doing this for two days straight I am preparing to send it back. If you are ok with keeping the light on always. I can imagine your experience would be better than mine. 2Best Echo Dot Accessory Review: I ve had this installed for a few weeks now and can report back on the good and bad. It s not really feasible to have this connected to your phone. Your phone will connect whenever the light is turned on, and because it has a battery it will stay connected after it s off. So if Jess goes to the bathroom I ll find my phone connected to the speaker 30m later. To get around this issue we have an Alexa Dot connected via Bluetooth to it. So you just ask Alexa to play so and so and off it goes, and in that regard it works really well because I don t care if it stays connected to that Alexa. The one downside of that is you cannot stream from your phone to the Alexa/speaker since they can only connect to 1 Bluetooth device at a time. So no podcasts. But it s still great to listen to music or whatever else Alexa can play natively. It may be more intuitive to remove the battery so it disconnects when the light turns off, but I still don t want my phone connecting whenever someone is in there. 4Works Great! My first review. I am writing because some of the other reviews were misleading. The 6SL light/speaker took no more than 10 minutes to install. Note that some 6" cans have a holder/fixture interior to the can for the bulb receptacle which allows you to raise or lower the height of the bulb in the fixture. You may have to remove this to allow room for the ~5" height of the 6SL light/speaker in addition to the E26 socket adapter.The "S-Pair" button on the 6SL is for syncing the Master 6SL with the Slave 6SLs NOT to pair with your cell phone or laptop. Be sure to remove the protective tab from the battery cover correctly. Some people reported audio clipping. There is a note in the "Quick Start" guide which states "Note: If protective tab is not removed properly, audio clipping may occur."I paired the 6SL with my cell phone - no problem. I turned bluetooth off on my cell phone then paired my wife's cell phone with no problem. I then turned bluetooth off on my wife's cell phone and paired my laptop with the 6SL and again no problem. It takes a minute or so for the device to recognize the 6SL but all devices did recognize and pair with the 'Down Light Speaker'. I was also able to adjust the volume from each phone and my laptop.I got the 3000K light and use a dimmer and it works great above my shower/tub and for a single small speaker built into a light, I think it sounds fine. I haven't showered with it yet so I can't report on that but it is rated for wet locations. 5Absolutely Awesome! Bought two of these to go in our bathroom (replaced existing recessed can lights) so we can easily listen to music/news in the morning while getting ready. These are very simple to set up and easy to install. They have great sound and they are very easy to use. I would highly recommend these to anyone! It's such an easy and relatively inexpensive way to add speakers to any room without having to run wires or mess with installing any hardware. As long as you have existing 6" recessed lights, you would be able to easily use these. We love them! 5Great for the Shower!!! Great light/speaker combo for the price. I purchased the 3000K and it is very bright, installed a dimmer and solved that issue. The sound is really good, although a little extra bass would be nice. Looks sleek and modern and installation was a breeze. It seems that they resolved the issue of not being able to connect a different device without having pull the light down and reprogram it every time you want to play music witha different device. All you have to do now is go to your mobile device and hit the disconnect button on the device that is connected, the speaker will then start searching for a new device, just go to the bluetooth menu on your other mobile device and you will see the speaker in the list to connect. No need to pull the light down and hit the pair button to connect a new device! I docked one star because the range is not that good, I pretty much need to have my mobile device inside the bathroom, when I leave the bathroom to go into the bedroom the sounds starts break up. Again, this is an awesome addition to any bathroom. 4Nice sound. Easy setup. These sound good and works great with Pandora by smartphone... but just a heads up, the Alexa doesn't play nicely with these (one song will be fine, the next will play too low to hear). 5Worth Every Penny!!! I was looking for this solution for my kitchen and read the reviews (good and bad) and thought I d take a chance and rely on Amazon s wonderful return/exchange policy if it didn t work out. Luckily, I didn t have to do that. The set up was much easier than I expected and my Echo dot connected flawlessly. I read and was worried the units would go to sleep and I d have to constantly tell Alexa to connect to my speaker. That isn t the case. I ve left Alexa dormant for 24 hours and when she responds, it s through these speakers every time. I do have the wake word noise on and even hear that through these speakers. My secondary worry was the battery would die over night and not be functional till I turned the lights on to recharge the battery. That hasn t been the case either. Throughout a 48 hour period with normal lights on throughout the day (maybe 4 hours combined) and stretches of 16 hours without the lights on at all, the battery hasn t died. Sound quality is decent esp compared to the echo dot speaker. Volume is louder than I expected but easily adjustable via Alexa. After this purchase, I want 7 more to put throughout my house. Hope this helps someone debating on buying these or not. From my experience, these are worth the price. 5
