    Yay! it fits!! We bought and returned 3 other retrofit LEDs for our bathroom. Needed the outside rim to be fractions bigger then they were. This one is 7 5/8" inches which is what was required to cover the lip of the old can fixture. Perfect ! finally. (Plus there was minimal frustration when my husband installed!) 5Torsion spring mount not compatible with LCP light. I purchased these to retrofit my Lithonia LCP Type IC can lights. These style can lights do not work with the torsion springs provided with these LED kits. In order to make them work I had to remove the torsion springs from the LED's and reuse the locking tabs from the original trim pieces. It would have been helpful to have a list of compatible Lithonia can light fixtures these retro fit kits work with and which required additional mounting hardware. Once I drilled out the rivets that held the locking tabs to the original trim piece and mounted them to the LED using the same screw that hold the torsion springs in place I was able to install these to my Lithonia LCP can lights. 3High quality lights but missing the all important gasket Very nice light fixtures with high quality aluminum construction. Sadly, I had to return them because they did not come with the required gaskets to install them in the semi damp area advertised as one of the selling features. 4The Perfect Retrofit for 4-inch Cans and Halogen Bulbs I wanted to replace eight 50-watt halogen bulbs in 4-inch retrofit cans. I went through four other LED replacement products before I found these. There are two features that set these LED replacements above the others: 1) Perfect color temperature and, 2) The light source is recessed deeper in the housing than all the others, reducing glare. I was surprised that in our application (a kitchen) a difference between a 3000K and 2700K light source would make a difference. However, it really did. The 3000K light source seemed harsh. One other 2700K product that I tried seemed very yellow. These replacements provided the perfect color and had far-less glare than other brands. I tried these with an approved dimmer and they worked perfectly, and were completely silent. The dimming is also very interesting because, as the light level gets lower, it progresses to be somewhat of a point source in the center of the bulb. These were the most expensive replacements that I tried, and I wish they were less expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for. They are the perfect replacements for my application. 5Dull colors - Harsh shadows - cold feel Solid build with slim profile. but the light that it gives does not feel like a real light. Harsh shadows. Dull colors. The light feels incomplete. Like looking at a glare or reflection light. 2Excellent overall, but a metal is a bit flimsy I've tested this light against comparable products from Halo, Green Creative, and Hyperikon.This is great light overall, but I prefer the Green Creative product. The Green Creative light costs a bit more but has slightly better skin tones and a longer lifetime rating. I tried several lights including some that were $10 - $12 higher in cost but this one ended up being the best of the bunch. The light color is almost perfect, it disperses the light fairly well, and produces good brightness. And it doesn't hum or whine with my dimmer switch like some of the other lights I tried. I have three over my family room couch and am placing one in my front door entry hallway, and I really like them. 5It works with wireless Needed it for wireless Caseta match 5Wonderful attractive easy to replace lights Installed 25 of these in our house they look good work great so far only been a couple of weeks but will update if anything changes. these install easy in our old round prescolite cans. 5I highly recommend it, especially if glare is likely to be ... This has the deepest baffle of any recessed lighting fixture that I could find, either online or in a retail store. Many new LED fixtures are less deep than the CFL equivalent. I have multiple recessed lights in my kitchen and, after replacing CFLs with LED units, I have had a problem with glare when I look at the units from the side. The deep baffle on this unit really helps with glare. The light is very pleasant and the flange is designed to make the fixture edge as flush as possible with the ceiling. I tried three other units before this one. I highly recommend it, especially if glare is likely to be a problem. 5
