They workI purchased a few different colors and other than the obvious hue there isn t much difference in the product itself. These were all delivered very quickly and packaged appropriately. The battery life is not horrible but it definitely could last longer. These are fun for kids and practical to use too. For the price they are better than some competitors products but they aren t amazing either.4it still works and I like it a lotI bought this glow stick flashlight with a whistle for a friend's developmentally disabled adult daughter to take to camp. She was very excited to have it and thought it would be just what she needed to go back and forth to the bathroom from her cabin at night. I have a similar one that I have kept in my purse for years...it still works and I like it a lot.5Improved model receivedThese lights do not last long. They have a weird size battery in them, which for the life of me I couldn't get to. but they are cheap so I just ordered another one.Update: ordering my 4th one. I see only ONE weird size battery in these and I still can't get at it. I take a 20 minute walk every night and these never last more than a year. The flashlight on the three I have purchased is not bright enough to use for anything. Two of the three I have owned dims down considerably after 10 minutes - halfway through my walk. Maybe I always get stale ones with old batteries. They are very sturdily built.Update: My new current one at the same low price is an upgrade from the ones received in the past. The flashlight is bright and it is working fine. Will update again when it dies. Today is May 12, 2007.2These turn off after less than a half hour. ... These turn off after less than a half hour. Will be returning 1The glow stick/flashlightI recently received the little bright light recently, ordered it to replace one I d used for several years. This little glow light is super bright, I use it every night, keep it under my pillow to turn on as I get out of bed to make a trip to bathroom. It has a handy ribbon I attached to use around my neck if needed but just leave it on the bed to brighten the room enough don t need to take it with me.5Bright light and a great valueI walk dogs in the dark frequently so I needed a light weight flashlight that's easy to carry. This inexpensive product is great because you can use it as a regular flashlight or change the setting so it's a glow stick. The lanyard is easy to attach if you want to carry it that way, but it fits easily into your pocket as well. It throws bright light, making it easier to find your way in the dark - does anyone else have streetlights that don't really light the way for you?? -- and find what you have to pick up. I will definitely buy these again.5Disposable, Batteries Don t Hold ChargeI do not recommend this product, mostly because of the batteries. Once activated the batteries seem to drain slowly over time, even if not used. You can not rely on them to have power when circumstances demand. Replacing the batteries is not easy and the little watch batteries cannot be had in a rechargeable version. This product seems to be made to be disposable, which is such a waste.1Shine a little light... These slim, lightweight flashlights are simply great little powerhouses. I have them tucked away in just about every drawer in my house and in my emergency preparedness kit, as well as one in my car's glove box and another in the emergency auto repair kit in the trunk. I give them to friends as gift "bouquets" in a variety of colors (one for the car, kitchen, bedside table, garage, etc.). The 200-hour lifespan and their multi-use functions (flasher, flashlight, glow-stick, whistle) make them indispensable. The leash cord allows me to put one around my neck for dog-walking at dusk, and during power outages, I wear one on the "glow" setting to light my way while I'm searching out candles and matches. Their long life, multiple uses and low cost make them an emergency essential to buy by the dozen. 5Not water proof at allThey leak badly. To small of a o ringThey screwed it down and changed the shape. that s bad.I had to take the screws out put vaseline on the threads then put water proof tape around the outside around the outside. Pain in the butt1Great little lights that work as advertised Great little lights that work as advertised. We use them as trail markers when camping/hunting after dark. Good visibility and last a long time. One thing to be aware of: some colors are brighter than others. I ordered these in Red, Green, and Pink and the green are noticeably brighter than the other two. 5Lightweight and great for anyone to carryI gave these out to a class of students and they all loved them. These are handy and practical, as well as "cool", "awesome", and "fascinating". Many of the students walk home from school and in winter months or after school, it's good for them to have a lightweight flashlight and distress signal (whistle). I carry one in my car and purse, they are very lightweight. It would be a perfect stocking stuffer. I gave them out around Halloween, so I'm sure they used them for Trick-or-Treating.5Life Gear 4 in 1 LED Glow Stick Flashlight I've bought 5 of these Life Gear 4 in 1 LED Glow Stick Flashlights, one for each of my 4 grandsons & 1 for myself to have on hand for them to play with when they come to visit. They enjoy playing "flashlight time" in a closet / the indoor tent. We all like the different light settings & it is a sturdy & reliable product that should offer many years of fun. However, for young children I suggest you take off the neck string before you allow them to play with it alone & keep the protective strip over the whistle until they can actually use it. 5Awesome for Camping/Sleepovers/Playing Outside!Love these! I ordered these for my three kiddos (in different colors) so that they could wear them around the yard/neighborhood when it starts to get dark and wear them around town for things like camping, sleepovers, fireworks, etc. so I wouldn't have to purchase those glow stick necklaces all the kids love to have. My two boys sometimes pretend they are light sabers as well. There are several "modes" for these. There is the flashlight mode, the flashlight and stick mode, the stick only mode, and the blinking stick mode. There is a capped whistle at the end and a necklace cord that comes with them too. The light on the inside is the same color as the handle. For $5 my kids can play with these whenever they want and we aren't wasting money on cheap glow sticks that get thrown away after a day!5Excellent lightweight flashlightExcellent product. I bought one of these 3-4 years ago and it s held up to occasional use very well- haven t had to change the batteries yet. We keep it in the junk drawer. My son even played with it for a few months and used it as a glow stick for two Halloweens in a row. Good value for the price. I just bought 3 more to put in emergency kits and to keep in the car.54N1 Glow Stick Its nice the white flashlight end gives off decent amount of light. A clear light not yellow the red glow stick works great. So 1st click of the button gives you the flashlight 2nd click adds red glow & flashlight. 3rd turns off flashlight leaves red glow 4th click flashing red last click turns it off. There is still a whistle under a cap on the clear or white end that is pretty loud. The lanyard can be attached on either end. For having just button batteries it works pretty good. Its all good I am satisfied with the two I bought. 4
