    I USED to respect the brand name I always ignore negative reviews when a product arrives broken. It could mean it just wasn t packaged properly. However, this face plate cracked simply while installing it. No I wasn t using a power drill. I was using a manual screwdriver and not over-torquing it what-so-ever. This plastic is way too rigid, and cracks like an egg shell. Oh...and returns are not accepted by Amazon on these. You are forced to contact Leviton directly with your concerns. I USED to respect the brand name. 1As good as it gets in the switch plate business I love this as much as one can love a new plate for a light switch. I especially love that I no longer flick the wrong switch wondering what it connects to (spoiler alert, it connects to nothing).Don't let looks be deceiving, you can use the blank on either side of the switch plate, just need to flip it over.If they could improve anything, it would be to include more screws. Which is why, as much as I love this switch plate, I can only give it 4 stars. 4Perfect fit, just what we were looking for. I had 4 bedrooms that had double toggle switches, one for the light, one for a fan. I put in new fans, all of which had lights and included a remote. The wiring instructions made everything work off of one switch and the remote. This rendered one of the toggles completely useless. It bugged me that I had switches that went to nothing, plus I always seemed to switch the "inactive" one first. These wall plates solved my problems and like other reviewers, I was unable to find them in the stores. I had no problems with the fit, quality of the product, cracking, etc. that some of the other reviewers mentioned. 5Good (stiff) plate. Works fine. Only negative to note is that this plate is of the more stiff/brittle material (you can also find in stores). I usually avoid them, preferring a flexible material, less likely to crack if you need to tighten the screws quite a bit. This can be necessary if an outlet box was not installed square to the wall and you want the plate and switches all to appear snug and flush. I bought this because my ceiling fan comes with a remote and can no longer use 2 switches at the wall. Therefore, I hang my remote in the blank area using a piece of magnet tape on the back. 4Pure garbage..fragile like a potato chip Pure garbage..fractured when snugging down screw. Fragile like a potato chip. I paid 5.00+ for a POS that isn't worth 1.00.The 1st one I received was already cracked so I got this replacement and it cracked. This is even priced at the higher scale like an unbreakable Leviton at Home Depot. Pure Garbage 1cracked like a potato chip you don't even have to give the smallest amount of pressure on this for it to snap. Cheap quality. A Pringles chip is more sturdy. I bought two and both we garbage. 15 stars because they make it! I've read that ... 5 stars because they make it! I've read that it's cheaply made (it's as substantial as Leviton's typical cover), the screws are too short (the ones I received are just fine) and it's expensive. Well, yes, it's expensive compared to a standard switch plate but that's called "Supply and Demand ". There's just not much demand for oddball plates such as this.Bottom line - it works perfectly if this is what you need. While it's expensive compared to a standard plate, so what? It's not a standard plate! If you need this you have few choices. 5Very fragile These plates are thin, fragile plastic, not flexible nylon. Mine arrived shattered into several pieces, and it wasn't worth the hassle of returning. Be aware that ordering one of these is a gamble: it might arrive in one piece but likely won't. 1One of the only places to find this! Good news, is that this is actually made, I had a hard time finding anywhere that sells this size, and amazon had it at the cheapest. Awesome, don't wanna spend a fortune on something that's mostly just to fix a small error in the house.The fact the screws are NOT even with each other is really like, awkward looking though, so it's one small gripe to a new gripe honestly. I know it's a small complaint but they had none in white with matching screws for some reason, despite having it in other colours.It's also smaller than the standard plate I had prior, and IS slightly smaller than the other plates in my house. It's overall worth it, because it's safer than having one with a switch hole and no switch in it - but not entirely as advertised for the size.The plastic is pretty thin, but unless you're rough with it you shouldn't have any issues with it cracking. Don't try to overscrew though.Glad to have, but also could definitely have some improvements. 4Excellent product, and fairly difficult to find at the ... Excellent product, and fairly difficult to find at the big-box stores [probably readily available at specialized electrician retailers].Our electrician had just placed a "dummy" [that is, not connected] toggle switch in the other bay during our remodel]. However, the non-functioning dummy switch did sometimes confuse our guests. This "1-blank" cover is a more logical solution.Well made [comparable to the wall-plates our electrician installed], and easy for a DIYer to install. 5
