    Nice. Nice and spendy! I guess I agree with everyone else. I like the cover on the lens; makes it grippy, padded, and looks cool. But you seriously will be questioning your sanity when you see what you get for the price, in its little bag. Wickedly expensive. Also, I note that the description says: "... clear, flexible UV-PVC window over the AF/IS/VR controls and the distance-scale window." Mine does not have that. It just gives you two strips of adhesive neoprene to cover the parts of the AF window section and tripod collar section that you choose to cover. Doesn't matter to me, but if you are expecting that, you might be disappointed. 4Much better quality than I expected Much better quality than I expected. Expensive, yes, but the quality makes the price less of an issue. Once you have used this in the field, you won't worry about how much it cost anymore.Feels kind of springy, which gives the lens some grip and gives a little little bit of shock absorption when setting the lens down or putting it in my bag. Of course this is very welcomed in cold weather. I would definitely buy this again. 5Great lens cover Great lens cover. Works well and fits the lens elegantly. Really makes handling the lens more comfortable, especially in the cold. I've resisted buying one of these for far too long because of the price. Can't imagine being without it now. The only reason this is less than five stars is the price. 4Protection yes, but... There is no way to retract the lens hood once applied. So, the lens will no longer fit into the carrying case Canon provides when purchasing the 400 Prime lens. The neoprene is perfectly made and cut, and I have found absolutely no problems with the quality at all. It is durable, and does its job.I expected it toa) camouflage a crappy-colored animal-scaring whitish lensb) keep bare hands warm in colder weatherc) protect from scarring the lens bodyIt nailed all three things. I'm glad I bought it, and wouldn't take it back. The 4 stars is not for the product, it is for the sale. This coat is expensive. I mean, hard to believe expensive. SERIOUSLY expensive. Since this company alone is manufacturing these custom-fit coats, they can dominate price-wise. In the end, when you dump $1300 into a lens, you're gonna want to invest a bit to protect it. And for what it achieves, this is a product worth buying. 4Well made but hard to get on the lens. The lens wrap is certainly hard to get on but it offers a nice degree of camouflage and protection to the lens. The birds don't seem to be quite as skittish but hiding a big white lens is pretty low hanging fruit. 5Keeps cold metal away from hands Love the fit and how it functions. Wish it wasn't so prone to the material flaring out from front of the lens after constant use - use some double sided tape to hold it all together. Other than that it's awesome. 5
