    Buy this now - way better than tape or cementsWe have a pitted copper hot water pipe that started spraying under the house. I tried the mix and knead cement types, waterproof types, self adhesive tapes. Nothing stopped the leak. I called a plumber who pulled one of these Lasco clamps out of the back of his truck and said, go buy one and it'll save you $300 in repairs today. It's not code for a long term solution, but it sure stopped the water completely from leaking. I can let the weather warm up (winter under the house) and do a proper fix later. Absolutely works. The plumber says you can get 3/4" for a 3/4" pipe, or a 1/2" for a 3/4" pipe. I got the 3/4" and the bolt went all the way to the end of the threads, but was good and tight on the pipe. Use this stainless clamp on copper pipe, not the other galvanized type, or it'll react and corrode it more.5Buy itHad a pretty good leak in the main to my house and I used to bad boy to stop it. Really, you should replace the pipe, but if you're looking to give yourself more time or put in a solid temp fix, this is it.5To big for copper piping size 1 . We didn t see the part about copper sizeIs product is to big for 1 inch pipe it might how ever be ok for 1 1/4 pipe. I had just left in it place for when I'd actually fix the pipe properly by welding. Complete waste of money.1Too big- I think it's a 3/4" clampI think I got a 3/4" clamp. I tightened the clamp a little at a time until the two end pieces where the bolt goes through are butted up against each other and it's still leaking. There's no way it will tighten any further. If this is supposed to be a 1/2" clamp, it is very poorly designed. It did slow the leak down to where I won't have to turn the water to the house off overnight but I still have a leak to deal with and obviously I can't send it back. So all my $28 did was buy me a little time. Not happy.1Quick easy repair for a pinhole leak in steel pipeGreat product. This fixed a pinhole leak in a pipe under the house in a spot where it would have been very difficult to cut out the bad spot and rethread. One thing to note - this product doesn t come with instructions and YouTube videos don t mention this, but the pipe needs to be fairly smooth in order for this to seal. If your pipe has a lot of surface rust or scale build up on the outside of it, clean it up first.5Five Stars Worked fine 5Worked like a dream!Works great! I will store it away for another leak.5This one is a good concept, especially if you want something re-usable and ...This product confuses me - could its description be incorrect? It's described as fitting "1" black pipe or 1.25" copper" but it's WAY too small to fit such a large pipe. The unit I received would barely fit a 3/4" pipe without some work, and even if you folded the clamp way out to fit a larger pipe, the bolt would never reach that far. In the end I actually took the black rubber patch element out and put it straight onto the pipe with hose clamps on either side of the damage. This one is a good concept, especially if you want something re-usable and it does fit for you - but check your fit first!2
