    Lap deskSo... this is your basic, blue lap desk. It is hard plastic with a slight textured appearance. It is slippery on top... however my laptop has little rubber feet that grip the surface of the desk "ok"...still a bit slippery. If you are using it to hand write your novel... or real letters... it's the perfect surface. It would be really great if it was a non-stick surface for laptop/tablet use...FYI... I was going to complain that the light shown was not included... however, there is a small, zippered area on the bottom of the desk. I opened it wondering what the heck is this... Viole.. the lamp was in there. It's pretty weak as lamps go... it does appear to possibly be LED... the bummer was the the lamp was "on" when I pulled it out... the base holds the batteries... weird little round watch size batteries and a loose spring that will fall out when you open the battery compartment. the neck of the lamp, including the lamp head looks to be about 12". It does fit snugly into the hole that is set for it. The cup holder is about 1 1/2" deep... so you could technically put a glass in it... but it is very shallow... The pen holder does actually hold a standard size pen or pencil ... eyeballing the length of the pen/pencil slot to be about 7 1/2". The bean bag bottom is comfortable... feels and sounds like it holds little mini Styrofoam beads.. I never hesitate to update my reviews if new info would be helpful... further... I do NOT receive compensation of ANY kind for my reviews. 4Stay away!Buyer beware didn't come with the LED light that it said in the description it does. I only ordered this one because it was supposed to have a light, there is even a spot on the desk for it. Pointless for a night time road trip to have a lap desk without the lamp. The surface is also uneven. Ugh wish I had gone with the slightly more expensive one cuz now it's too late to order a replacement! 1--Do Not Buy--Of course we didn't use this until outside the 1 month return period. We used it while traveling once and then when we carried it in from the car, the padding on the bottom became unsealed from the flat desk part on top and all the stuffing spilled out (tiny little Styrofoam beads). It just has some cheap glue holding the fabric cushion on the bottom to the desk/board part and will not hold up. SAVE your money and look elsewhere. I can't even figure out how to contact the company directly and complain but I thought this review might help others avoid this same mistake. I'll try to update with a photo of this soon. I guess I'll have to duck-tape the edge that opened up and try to see if I can stuff it with something else and still use it since I can't return it. Very disappointing... 1My 15.6 laptop covers cup holderIt fits fine. The cup holder is not very deep. If your looking for a cup holder that works, keep looking. Good price for what its needed for. 4Poor quality and didn't include the lamp!Received my TWO lapdesks without the LED lamps. Also has very little padding on the "lap" side. The cup holder is so shallow it will never hold a cup. I'd return them but needed them ASAP. I will NEVER buy from this company again, and Id recommend you look elsewhere also. 1It's OkayIt's okay.Measurements for Laptop Buddy is: 15"deep x 19"wide x 1/4" thick top blue plate and 1 1/2" thick under pad. Cup holder is 3" wide x 7/8" deep.Light stands about one foot tall.Note: The cup holder may not be accessible due to larger laptops over 15" wide unless laptop is positioned far to the left of the tray. When you first receive this item the light will be located in zipper compartment and comes already with a battery. 3Strong and easy to clean surface, portability,soft under surface, but light doesn't workI love my laptop desk I use it every day! The light that was included does not work very well, though it keeps flickering and if used in the dark which is what it's meant is for, it gives you this eery feeling as if you were in a horror movie and the lights keep flickering on and off! It also does not fit in the little holder very well and keeps falling forward, but I don't need it anyway. The surface itself is a thick hard plastic surface and easy to clean if you ever spell a beverage from the cup holder while moving it. I use it to hold the cup of color pencils when I use it and I always keep a pen in the holder or it gets lost. I stopped using it to hold the laptop and use it more as a firm surface to write my notes while my laptop is open on another surface in front of me. I also use it to eat lunch sometimes. It is really comfortable and it usually sit with my legs crossed and it placed on top of my lap so it is right at eye level. It is starting to become a little flat on the cushion surface since I have been using it every day for 6 months now, but it is filled with those tiny styrofoam balls they use it been bags and if you left the cup holder out it will expose the filling,but I can use that by replacing the filling when needed. over all awesome buy! 5Very functional lap deskI bought this lapdesk to work on things while sitting watching tv. It's designed well. The styrofoam beads in the bottom make it adjustable to position on your lap. The little light is nice but not too bright. the cup holder is a big plus. Others complained about the depth but I found it works well to keep your glass from sliding off. It's probably not suited for a rambunctious kid but works great for me. There's also a groove for your pencil pen which keeps them from rolling off. It is made of fairly thin cheap plastic & is very light. I doubt it will last a lifetime (nor will I want it to). It is light to carry around. I think it was well worth the cost. Would have preferred more color choices but it's no biggie. Definitely not a status symbol but the features are nice. (I would gladly pay more for one made with higher quality materials. 4THIS IS GREAT!!This is desk is a number 1 for me...I sit in my recliner in my livingroom and was setting my laptop on my lap...this desk holds my laptop at just the right height and I can sit and watch tv and work on my laptop at the same time...thanks 5Too cheaply made.Very disappointed. It's cheaper but also cheaply made. First day I had it the pen tray came out of the board and I got tiny Styrofoam balls (the filling of the cushion) EVERYWHERE. So annoying. I was able to put the pen try back in but it would just keep falling out (and spill more balls everywhere). The blue plastic covering also came off on the edges within the second day. The light did work but it just sits in the little hole made for it, not very securely. Haven't been able to use it effectively at all. I'm now looking for a better model, preferably without the Styrofoam filling and a solid material desk. 1
