Customer Reviews

Had this sink for one year now still love this sink I was reluctant to purchase this last year in the middle of a kitchen remodel, but read lots on the brand and decided to try it, but even after all my online reading, I was not sure I made the right decision. I liked all the specs that this sink has. The depth is nice because I don't have to do the dishes right away and you can't see the dishes from the other room when they are piled in the sink. The depth isn't too deep which is the other thing I was not sure about, but it never bothers by back when I need to get things at the bottom of the sink. The reason I'm writing this review is that I could find no reviews on long term use of the sink. After a year I still am happy with this purchase. It cleans up easily. Basically, daily, I rinse it with water. A couple times a week, I wash it with soap and water on my sponge, and once a month or two, I clean it with Sheila shine and dry it up nicely. It still looks as good as the first day we put it in.I like both drain options it comes with, but with a garbage disposal, we had to pick one. I liked them both, so either one would be fine. The sink grates are nice and I think they have helped to not scratch the sink. For those out there not sure what to do, I would not hesitate to buy this brand sink again. 5Beautiful high quality sink We love our sink! We have had it over 6 months now and I have not noticed any scratching, in fact I thought there weren't any. Until I went to take a photo for this review and I did see some small scratches in between the two sinks. Really barely noticeable.. I love the racks that go in the bottom of it to protect the finish and I also like that they keep the plates off the bottom so that water doesn't stand in the sink if you have some unwashed plates in there. I also love the strainer basket that we put on the left side of the sink. I included it in the photos as well . It's a nice large one ! It's still beautiful after 6 months of use no complaints here. Installer was impressed with the sink as well. 5All of the accessories have been really nice to use so far also especially the bottom grates Not a lot to be said about a sink typically but this is not your average kitchen sink. The gauge of the steel is way thicker than a typical kitchen sink, which will help keep it from getting dented if you drop a pan on accident which I have been known to do from time to time. There are sound dampening pads on the underside of each bowl which greatly reduce the sound when the water is on. All of the accessories have been really nice to use so far also especially the bottom grates, I can just set dishes in and not worry about they scuffing the sink bowl and they have provide a nice flat surface so no worries about the tower of dishes crashing down. My plumber was way impressed with the quality of the strainer cups and the removable cup on the main side has been great so far since I have a septic system I was told to not install a garbage disposal so being able to trap any food chunks in the cup and then just dump them in the trash afterwards has been very helpful. 5Attractive, but get a protective coating I put an empty ceramic pot gently into one of the basins and left it overnight. The next morning when I removed it there were scratches as if I had dropped knives in there or something! It might be worth getting the scratch-free coating b/c I didn't to save money and now I have to go buy scratch remover and coating to protect it.Still, I think it's an attractive looking undermount sink for granite and has a great depth. It comes with accessories too, which is nice.About the splashiness from the other reviews: the curve of the basin takes some getting used to b/c if you wash dishes close to you, you will get splashed. You just have to wash dishes at the further side. 3After four years, this sink is still excellent! We bought this sink in 2015, and it's the best sink we ever had. The bottom grates protect the finish from scratches, and the bowls are large enough to hold a 10-inch frying pan lying flat on the bottom. When we wash dishes the deep bowls allow using a large amount of water without splashing out. With normal care, the sink still glistens when we wipe it down after use. No scratches, no dents. The heavy steel construction and the sound-deadening pads eliminate the reverberations that many stainles steel sinks produce. If we buy another house, we're certainly going to equip it with this Krause sink. (I didn't install the sink myself, so I can't attest to ease of installation.) 5Love the sink Love the sink. This sink came with a lot of accessories that you have to pay extra for with other sinks. The stoppers work really well, and are attractive to leave on the countertop unlike the ugly rubber ones. The little strainer basket is great, it catches the scraps when you empty the sink. The depth is perfect, don't get a much deeper one as it will hurt your back. Looks so high end. I would say take it out of the box and check it over for scratches before scheduling an install; we looked at it but did not remove from box before it was installed, when they installed it scratches were discovered but since I was not watching them when they did this, it could have been the countertop installers who did it. The company that makes it offered to replace it, however since we had all our kitchen remodelers lined up and scheduled, we decided to go ahead and have it put in. Most of the scratches are hidden under the lip of the countertop. The other one is not noticeable if you don't look too closely. Anyway the company was supportive so I would buy from them again. 5Stop looking; your in the right place. I am a contractor and have installed them in many homes. Everyone seems very pleased even though they have no idea how it compares to other sinks of it's kind. Superior packaging and the basic sink includes everything needed from the strainer to the grid and everything is very high quality. Other brands seem to just offer a sink at the same price and then have you add all the other stuff adding $125 - $175 to the final cost. If people actually knew anything about stainless steel sinks and what generally comes with them Kraus would put them all out of business. And YES I have installed them in friends and families homes and gotten good feedback. 5Best Kitchen Sink I've Ever Owned I chose this Kraus KBU22 sink after reading all of the reviews posted on Amazon for this and other comparable sinks. I have a 33" kitchen sink base cabinet and I wanted to maximize the size of the sink that I installed. This sink isn't recommended for a 33" base cabinet, but with a little trimming of the wood on the inside of the cabinet, we managed to slip it in... It's a very nice quality, heavy-duty stainless steel. It seems to be easy to clean thus far, and the baskets that came with it for strainers are superior to what I've used before. The stoppers work very well for filling sink with water and the included wire racks are a must...they keep the sink looking nice. The depth is perfect for having your dishes soak in the sink prior to washing... This sink is far superior than anything I could find at local home improvement centers. I used a Delta Valdosta Spotshield Stainless faucet which complemented the sink nicely. 5This sink is SUPERB My granite counter installer recommended this sink to me, and I can t get over what a great sink it actually is. It is incredibly deep, wellmade, doesn t show watermarks, cleans well, and shows well. I like to put the dirty dishes in one side and the cleaned dishes to be rinsed in the other. When I m processing food, I work in one side and food scraps (skins, peels etc) go in the other. The deep wells give me room to move! I paired it with a Kohler Simplice faucet and I have gotten rave compliments on my kitchen. Do not hesitate to get this sink. 5Seems to scratch easily I purchased this sink after lots and lots of research and online review reading. Since it was going to be an undermount install on my new quartz counter, I wanted to be sure it was a great buy. Overall, I am okay with the sink, but I definitely do not love it. I like that it is deep and I wanted one with even sized double sink, so it is good in that aspect. What I am unhappy with is that it seems to scratch extremely easy....I mean CRAZY easy. The slightest swipe of some silverware and it's got huge long scratches. Maybe this is normal for stainless steel (??), but I thought that since I bought the more durable steel and the very favorable reviews that it would not be an issue. I have come to terms with it and decided that it's just a sink and it functions well for its purpose, but the scratches are still a bit of a bummer in my shiny new kitchen. One more little thing you may want to consider is that the bottoms are not completely flat. It has a curved shape to it that slopes up a bit from the sides of the sink towards the drain, so when I put a glass in it, I have to be sure I put it almost right next to the wall of the sink or it will fall over. Overall, this sink is just okay. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't buy a sink until I had seen it in person and on display so I could be sure it was exactly what I wanted.edited to note: I am giving the metal racks that a came with a try to see if that helps me with the issues I am having. I will update after a few weeks of use. 3
