    Sturdy Metal Construction - Hoping the Light is Durable These compact lights are bright for a single AA battery and the beam is adjustable. Due to their design they are meant for shining up an area close to you rather than a beam that can reach out fifty yards which is fine as I have other flashlights capable of that, though they are considerably larger. The five pack is great for tossing one in the glove box of every vehicle you have and having the rest handy for general use. Haven't had them long enough to know how long the battery lasts so you might want to have some extras on hand. I don't find the low beam to be bright enough for most things and the strobe effect is mostly a nuisance. Worth the price if you are looking for a small compact light that is meant to light up things within about 20 - 25 feet, beyond that it gets weak. 5Excellent, inexpensive mini flashlight set. This is an excellent implementation of the now-common Cree Q5-based, very bright, very reliable, mini flashlight, and the most inexpensive 5-pack I've encountered recently. The set arrived quickly and in good order, well-packed in a sturdy, compact cardboard box. Highly recommended. 5Great product, with one small defect to look out for. These are absolutely fantastic for the price. You can easily clip/carabiner them to any belt or hook, stash a few in handy places, and of course make a small gift out of a couple.For their size they give a strong bright beam, even with a regular AA Dollar Store battery, and the three different settings are great.However, it appears that the screw on end piece that holds the lens can easily come off of the tread without periodic re tightening before and after each use. I've even had one fall off the very first night I used it at work....and once it comes off there's no way you're going to find it, or even hear it in a loud work environment (Airport ramp for myself)So just look out for that, otherwise they are solid. 4Great flashlights, 5-pack makes it even better These are great little flashlights, bright, compact and solid. Each came individually bubble-wrapped so handy if you wanted to give out individually. The only issue I had was one of the plastic bubble-housings over the front of the light was a bit loose in the mount. One small dab of crazy glue and it stopped it from moving, but I would not trust it to hold back water if say it rained on the light itself. I bought this five pack because my wife has dementia and keeps losing hers. I occasionally find them in the cracks of cushions or under a single sock. Essentially we need more flashlights in circulation for a while.Anyway, long story short, one of the on/off/mode buttons is defective and wont' turn off. I was faced with sending them all back which seems a pain in the neck, so I contacted Kootek customer service using the email on the provided warranty card and they have offered me $4 off my order which seems very fair considering the already low price.So, overall they went from 3 stars to 5 with the extra two tacked on for good customer service. Thanks Kootek! 5Impressed Bought these to have extra flashlights for Hurricane Irma. I was impressed. They were smaller than the 2 little flashlights I had bought earlier this year that came in a pack of 2... and these were SO MUCH BRIGHTER! And I got 5! Very happy with this purchase 5Convenient pocket light These are a convenient, small LED light. The zoom function varies from unit to unit with respect to ease of operation, but once moved they aren't bad. One of the 5 units in the box was missing one of the mounting screws for the pocket clip. We'll see how Kootek handles that matter.Update - Rather than sending the missing screw so I could install it, they sent another box of 5 flashlights. This is customer service above and beyond anything that one should ask for. OUTSTANDING service. Too bad I'm limited to 5 stars. This started out as a 4 star review and this update changed that to 5 stars. If this is typical of the level of customer service from Kootek, you can't go wrong buying from them. 5Good for kids If you want party favors for kids then these are fine but if you are looking for a quality flashlight then none of these cheap little flashlights are going to cut it. I gave these to my 5 year old, one at a time, and consistently they all started having issues within about 24 hours. Yes they are bright but not high quality. They work fine at first but after awhile I have to beat them to get them to turn on. If you want quality, go with Coast or another good brand for $20+. 3Future is bright Update: After five months, the three that had not been used did NOT drain their batteries. My old (identically sized) Duracell 3XAAA lights were completely drained in this amount of time without use. The two in use are still going strong on the original battery. Add in the fact that these only take a single battery, and I am fully satisfied with my original 5 star rating. I just bought another pack as a spare and a few more packs for holiday gifts.These are perfect for walks and backups around the house. Compared with the output from my (seems silly now) expensive model that is double the Lumens, I'd say the Lumen accuracy is pretty close. The on/off button is easy to use and I like that it reverts back to the original high-power setting after only a few seconds. The biggest test will be be to see how long the battery life is maintained with storage use, so I'm holding off on purchasing more until a few months in. My similar flashlight from another brand drained all three AAA's in a less than two months of storage only use. Even if I get 6 months of life from a single A, I will buy more. 5Uses 1AA or 14500 I've ordered several boxes of these flashlights for grandkids and friends. works on 1AA or close to 3 times as bright with 14500 li-ion batteries. Quality in threads on tail cap, zoom, and on-off push button. Has slightly bluish white beam, and fits in your pocket or get a sheath for everyday carry. A great deal at under $3.00 ea. Recommend the 1AA alkaline for kids ! 5
