Cheap, flimsy, and not well designed... But they work I just finished a remodel of my basement and added these into all the walk-in closets. I found these to not fit a standard blue ceiling box (round) very well. They are quite flimsy and easily bent and if you happen to put the screw in a little tight it warps the whole cover of the light. The plastic cover does not fit in very well once the lights are actually installed. That said, they are fairly easy to install and one is plenty bright for a walk-in closet.Personally, after installing six in my basement, I would not buy again. I have installed other low profile "pancake" lights like these from different brands (sorry, don't remember the names) and like the better quality builds. For how bad the quality was I felt these were over-priced. Sorry Jullison, these lights are just "cheap." 35000k = Brightness Galore I ve purchased 24 of these recessed lights. They are easy to install and super bright (5000k). I m finishing my basement so I wanted a lot of natural bright light. I ve also replace a lights in my kitchen where lighting was dim, but now WOW! I m hoping these last for the long duration that was advertised. I ll definitely be a returning customer.I did have one problem. I opened one box and two bolts were inside the package instead of the normal screws, but I contacted Jullison and they took care of the situation right away. It shows me that they most definitely care about their customers. I highly recommend if you want to upgrade your lighting. Also a novice could do this. Just remember to turn off your main power if your not working wit new construction. 5Use with or without junction box. Very bright and looks great. Installation was quick and easy. I didn t use a junction box and didn t have any issues mounting to drywall. 5Great lights for a great price! I bought these to add some light to my bedroom since my builder didn't add enough lights IMO. Once installed, these look fantastic. They do seem slightly brighter than my existing 65w replacement Commercial Electric disk light that I already had in the room. I was concerned I'd see flickering since these don't have drivers in them, but I don't notice any, and I'd say the color was spot on (3000k in my case). I'll be using more of these throughout my house. 5Slim Update: 16% failure rate within 3 months.These lights are SUPER bright, I m glad that I bought a dimmer to use with them, they will dim until they appear to be just glowing and still don t appear to flicker at all. 3Very Pleased I'm very pleased so far with this light. I've used it as a replacement to a dated dome light in our bathroom instead of going through the hassle of installing a recessed light and I'm very happy with the outcome. It is quite bright, and I do not yet have it on a dimmer, but am hopeful that it handles that well. The installation took less time than to take the old light down; very easy and quick. Price is great. 53000k vs 2700k The product itself is fine. I thought 3000k would be a soft light-it is not. Very dry, hard on the eyes. But-i ordered the 3000k, and the lights themselves work very well. Plenty of light. If you want a soft light, 2700k is the way to go. 4Taking them for a spin I just got these (8pk/4000k) and installed 4 in my room. No clue on the quality yet, but they lit up to my expectations and even worked with a leviton dimmer (dsl06).I am mainly posting this review right now to share the pictures that I wondered about before I ordered these particular lights. The pictures show the size of the over all light with trim, the size of the LED array, the halo when dimmed (not sure how dim), and the wiring on the back.There is no UL sticker, but THERE IS an ETL sticker, no damp location sticker, however the instructions say damp/wet location approved as long as you silicon around it. The instructions mention a 5 year limited warranty 4Bright and Virtually Invisible We had been previously paying $20 each for these low profile, easy to install lights. They allow us to prevent using dated dome lights in many areas and the options on Lumens is great. We ordered 3000. don't go any less unless you want the warm glow. These are neutral without having the blue glow. As you can see in the picture, without lights being on, that they hide themselves and are quite affordable and easy to use with the round ceiling box. 5Smallest profile inside makes cleanest installation, wish supply longer mount screws as well. Cleanest & lowest profile device on back side of the panel I ever seen.That means 14g wires in ceiling box have no stress without being pushed.A regular blue plastic ceiling box with this light made easiest installation I have ever experienced.For 6" LED, I used 4-1/4" hole saw for ceiling box and it looks very clean without a gap between ceiling.I used remodel/old work type ceiling box which has 4" diameter and worked good.[Update]I bought Ostwin model to compare.Ostwing has curled edge around compare to tapered edge on Jullison and I will be buying both.Ostwing supplies both long and short mount screws and that helps.Jullison comes with regular size screws only.I often need longer one to reach the ceiling box so 5 stars dropped to 4 stars. 4
