    Too bright at night There was too much ambient light coming from the clock at night. If you like having a nite light in the room than this would be a good product. Was too much for me personally. Was difficult to see the numbers from across the room also. Clock has an attractive design. 3Poorly designed, cheaply made The LOOK of this clock radio is nice, but that's the best I can say of it.I returned mine because the radio didn't work, despite an hour of trying to get it to using the instruction manual. And I'm glad it was defective, because at least I could return the thing without having to pay shipping. The controls are, to put it mildly, counter-intuitive. By trying to make all the clock and radio controls operable with the six buttons on top (probably because it was cheaper), the manufacturer has made something as simple as turning up the sound volume as complicated as trying to program a 1980s VCR. I'd have happily spent more money to get some separate controls, and some better build quality. This thing is made of such lightweight plastic it would blow away in a light wind.And that's the problem with this clock radio: it's flimsily made, without regard to either ease of use or durability. Very disappointing. 1One Star I thought it was very flimsy looking and too small. I returned the radio clock. 1Good looking but a bit difficult to use. I've had this for a few months and am on the fence about whether I like it. I bought it because I loved the old style numbers and faux wood design. However setting the time and adjusting the alarm is a hassle. Also you can't just push the power button to turn the radio off. You have to hold it down for a few seconds, otherwise it switches over to AM radio. It looks good but the functionality leaves a bit to be desired. Also, a tip for anyone who buys it - click the snooze button to adjust the brightness of the display. The default setting is really bright. 3I like the feature that you could turn off the light ... I like the feature that you could turn off the light on the dial has three settings for that bright low light and off has a great antenna for excellent FM reception but unfortunately poor am reception but don't think if you have a Bose Wave CD radio alarm clock and paid 600 for it you will get much better because you will not I get better am reception from a radio from the sixties that I have all in all good little alarm clock would be even better if it had a 9-volt battery backup instead of the little remote clicker batteries but keep it plugged in and you won't have a problem 3Very nice programmable FM radio. The radio actually has a lot of features, and was relatively easy to use. The speaker leaves a little to be desired, but otherwise is a great product. Volume of alarm was adjustable, radio station for alarm was able to be changed. 4Great radio I love the fact that if doesn't make noise when the numbers change. Beautifully made and an amazing price.The only thing they should change is the brightness on the radio. It will be nice if you can adjust it to a lower setting at night.Great sound and I strongly recommended 4Only works at eye level. I wanted to like this clock. I was looking for something digital that had a little style to it. Immediately after opening it I was disappointed. A fiber from the silver "matte" under the glass was hanging in the hour opening for the clock. ANNOYING. I knew I would be returning it for that reason alone. Before returning it I decided to give it a test run in the bedroom where we would be using it. Im so glad that we did. We placed the clock in its spot on the tall boy dresser and set the time. That evening when i turned off the lights and got into bed, I looked at the clock. I could not see what time it was, only two glowing boxes. Upon standing, you are able to see the time. If it is eye level, it works. If it is above you, you can not see the time. 2Love my 70s retro clock! I grew up with one of these clocks. My mom had one for almost 15 years. When I saw this one I had to buy it. Some of these reviews almost made me not purchase it. I am so glad I didn't listen. It isn't that bright once I hit the snooze button to dim it (high, medium, and no light options). It is more of a soft night light with a blue iridescents. I also can see the display from any angle and it is quiet as the display changes the time. The radio has a flat old school tin radio sound, but it has great FM/AM reception. It won't wow you like Bose, but I am using it for alarm clock purposes only not enjoyment listening and for $22 what are you expecting. It includes a battery for those times when the lights go out. This clock is very easy to set and use. I don't know why other reviewers had such a hard time with setting the clock (not neuroscience and only 3 buttons to press during set up). It isn't real wood but plastic like the actual 70s clocks it is taking inspiration. It is noticeable plastic to the touch but not at a glance. I love the styling and the glow it gives to my bedroom. This 70s inspired flip-style clock is awesome in my opinion! 5So bright I can get a tan as I sleep I wanted to like this clock and was excited about the retro styling. The clock itself is attractive and seems to work well. It is a good looking clock...BUT... it is brighter than the sun! The LED has three brightness settings you can choose from: High, Medium and Off, or as I would describe it 40 watt bulb, 20 watt bulb and off. No kidding, the 2 "on" brightness levels are blinding at night. Even the lower of the 2 brightness modes is brighter than a kid's nightlight. Since I put it in my bedroom, I had to actually turn the clock away from the bed to keep from having the light shine directly on my eyes as I tried to sleep. Unfortunately, I will be returning it and looking for one with less light. 2
