    missing the gaskets and the stainless wear plateAs mentioned, the gaskets and stainless wearplate missing. Description says it includes them. I reused the old ones. Worked, but for the amount of aggravation to remove and rebuild this pump, I would have preferred a correct and complete rebuild. 2Performs As Promised - Need to Replace Long StudsThese service kits work well for the purpose. Unfortunately Jabsco still uses brass studs instead of stainless steel. The service kit only includes the short studs. Do yourself a favor and order the two long studs and replace them as well before they corrode through and break. The only downside to these pumps is that the impeller doesn't last very long. We use it about once a week for five minutes or so and have to service the pump and replace the impeller about once every 12 months. 4Replacing the impeller is straightforward.Came complete including a sachet of lubricant.In our case the housing was not required as only the impeller was aged and distorted.Once the pump is removed and flushed out, fitting the replacement impeller etc is straightforward. The impeller is accessed behind the macerator blade and shield, which has to be removed from the motor shaft. The nut holding the macerator blade in place was easily removed by holding the blade with pliers while loosening the nut. 4Modification neededWhat I needed was a 18598-2000, unfortunately that is not available. I took a chance and ordered 18598-1000 and hoped the dimensions would be exact. The only difference was that the 1000 does not have threads on the outlet fittings. Can you start stocking the 2000 kit as this is a ongoing problem. Other than that, I will make this work, thanks, 3Beware of incorrect kit numbers and poor supportI was having some issues with the Macerator Pump and after some research, it obviously needed to be rebuilt. In the included technical Data sheet and the User Manual it specified the kit number, which I then ordered. With the new kit I rebuilt the pump and I found the pump body didn't have a threaded outlet port. Fortunately, the old pump body was still serviceable and I reused it with the new parts. I contacted Flojet folks by email and the person responding simply told me I ordered the wrong kit, even though I used their own kit/part number. I responded by citing the part number in the manuals, etc. Anyway, in the end, no attempt by them was made to correct this and I'm pretty put out with them. It's been a good pump, but I suppose that when I need a new Macerator Pump I'll look to someone who sells and supports their product correctly. 3Five StarsOn time delivery and does the job. 5This Item is an exact replacement for the FloJet pump, so just be warned but item is good and usable still for the Flojet.This item fit, however, if you are using the Flojet Macerator which this fits perfectly, it does not come with the water hose connection for the discharge of the pump. That is apparently a different item that isn't available here on Amazon. I was able to use the body however of my old model by removing the seal from this item and replace the seal and keeper as well as all other parts for my old body which worked great. I just don't have a need for the pump body here with a non water hose connection. The photo does show a non water hose discharge, so no fault to the item itself, but just warning anyone that if you want to use the body of your old one and use the other parts for a Floject Macerator pump, you can swap the parts or buy other place with proper connection using the same number for service kit. They have a version for water hose connection elsewhere if needed. Replacement is pretty easy and there is a YouTube video that show how to change also if needed. 4As described. Work on the price to get 5 stars. 4missing brass studs for the older model.I purchased this thinking it was a complete kit but the kit did not come with the brass studs like the description said it had and the pictured showed. I salvaged one brass stud from the old pump but the other broke. Now I'm looking to find one brass stud.I recommend taking the old pump apart first to see if you need the brass studs and if so, make sure you order a kit that has the studs. NOT THIS KIT!!!! 24 Stars because no fiber washers were included.The kit parts fit okay but didn't include new fiber washers or studs. I cleaned up the old brass studs and reused the fiber washers. The rebuilt pump now works fine. 4
