    What I wanted These are the most used clamps in my shop. Very easy to use one-handed, and are a good quality clamp. Will be buying another set or two, as they are so useful, and you can never have enough clamps. 5Decent for the moneyThese are ok for the money. They don't really have a great deal of clamping power and the smallest size is mostly useless. However, the larger sizes have enough power to do most things.3Not as nice as older model.The new version of the "light duty" clamps are not as nice as the older "light duty" clamps. I have some of the older version and they are more study than the new ones I just received. The new ones just seem to be lower quality in general. Weird thing is that the clamping force on the new ones claim to be 140lb while the older ones are rated at 100lb. I grow so tired of companies doing this...taking a good product and cheapening it for a little extra profit. FYI, the old versions are easy to spot because they have yellow rubber pads in the jaws of the clamp. The new ones have black pads. I did get a super good deal on these so I might keep them instead of returning them. But I will be buying Jorgensen clamps from now on.2Garbage Only reason I gave it a 1 is because I can t give it a 0. Most Irwin tools are good. This particular line of clamps are not. 1Good clamps for casual home workshopYou can never have enough clamps. These bar clamps are great for any kind of home workshop projects. They do a fine job of holding wood projects together. I can't think of any real projects the smallest clamps would be used for. But, as already stated, you can never have enough clamps. So I'm sure they'll come in handy down the road. The Irwin brand tends to produce a quality product. I was pleased with the quality of these clamps.I think the only thing I could say in the negative, was that it wasn't quickly clear how to change the clamp into a spreader. However, anyone with any sort of ability to see a problem and solve it analytically will figure it out.4Extremely low quality: reconsider buying these This was the first time I had used a clamp in the set. I used one of the 4-1/4" clamps to support a plywood glue-up while I pinned the materials with a nailer. When I tightened the clamp, the head broke completely off! I will not buy IRWINQUICK clamps in the future. 1great clamps at cheaper price then local storesthese came just as expected. good packaging, and functional tools. at any local store these are so much more expensive, like double the price. on here this kit pretty much has it all for only 20 bucks. the only function that it doesnt have i wish it did, is to polarize the heads to make it open instead of clamp. but no biggie. comes with 2 of each, small for really small stuff med, to large which i think is a decent size for most things around the house. if you are looking for something bigger youll probably need to buy something in singles and not in a pack like this. i would buy again, but cant see these breaking any time soon.5Weak clamping pressure, mini ones broke very quicklyThe mini ones broke after a few days of mild use. I really like the ease of use with these but they have no clamping pressure. Even if I try to squeeze trigger as much as possible, the wood still moves with little force. I wanted to use these for holding wood for planing, but it just doesn't do the job.3LIGHT DUTY CLAMPS not their more common clampsIrwin always makes excellent tools BUT the clamp handles are smaller that my regular Irwin clamps because THE PACKAGING notes these as LIGHT DUTY. Took a star away as the product description doesn't say that (this is why the price is comparatively low). I understand that the description is supplied by the seller so I am a little disappointed. I can still use them as "you can't have enough clamps". I have pipe clamps for heavy clamping & "normal" Irwin clamps for most HD use.3Good Product, could be slightly less expensiveProduct works exactly as intended. There are many similar products on the market at much cheaper prices. Given the simplicity of the construction, it would make sense to lower the price a little more. Zero problems with performance though. There are no teeth on the main shaft so the product is infinitely adjustable. This makes it nice so that your project can be held with whatever level of strength you need, rather than being stuck between tooth sizes.4Worth itI use these things constantly -- several times per project -- and have had no issues. I recommend you really think about the sizes you need, though, as the small ones are really small and don't get much use in my shop, but the medium and long ones, as I said, are employed steadily.5... not use these clamps for joinery they are an excellent addition to my shop While I would not use these clamps for joinery they are an excellent addition to my shop. They simply do not have the power to press together a nice joint however I work on projects mostly alone and these have been an invaluable second third and fourth set of hands, allowing me to complete tasks easily that I never would have been able to do alone. I reach for these clamps in just about every project. For the price you simply can't beat them. 5Strong grip in a lightweight and easy-to-use toolI used this to clamp my cutting guide to slippery melamine sheet when cutting shelves. They held securely, and are super easy to use, with nice one-handed operation for both tightening and releasing. They are compact enough to easily stay out of the way of my circular saw, as opposed to my old bar clamps that have to be positioned just so (yeah, I should have made the cutting guide bigger).5Middle of the road... I thought these would be more heavy duty like these other ones I have, but thery're in the middle of the cheap ones I don't like and the heavy duty ones (all the same brand). Hope that helps. 4Easy to useUse this all the time. So easy to use on all my projects. Purchased more of them to do bigger projects and have more sizes to use. Great for the beginner woodworker.5They are an excellent product. I have used my own set regularly ... These are positively indispensable for woodworking, at least for what I do. My boyfriend saw them, & had to have. They are an excellent product. I have used my own set regularly for many applications over years & each is still going strong. Very reliable, durable, user-friendly. I haven`t a negative thing to say-they do what they are supposed to do, & do it well. 5
