Customer Reviews

Good price and schedules, but uses energy. I like the price and I like the variable schedules with eight on and off. I didn't like the screen is hard to see and has no backlight option. I also did not like that it draws 1.5 Watts with nothing connected, which I decided to check after I realized it was warm all the time. In comparison I was going to hook up 2 mi digital weather station to cut screen power usage, but it only draws .5 Watts so the timer draws 3 times more than my weather station. So not that much money in the big picture probably about $3 a year. I assume the usage is typical of all timers. also make sure to follow instructions that you must charge and reset the timer before you use it. 3HOW DO YOU SET THESE? DOCS PLEASE!!! I would have giving these a 5 star rating if the docs were better written, they are honestly poorly written, and the only support they offer is call your electrician or local dealer. Wow really? So i'll just take this to my local Home Depot and say hey, I am bring this device to you because you need to help me set it even though you don't sell it.No website to get the manual which by the way your better off guessing what to do rather then reading the ubber do your head in manual.I know why they didn't write any better docs, because they couldn't even figure out how to program these things. So unless you work for NASA or a rocket scientist this isn't for the people that wan't to get things done. This is one of the rubix cube puzzles that'll take you hours to figure out. 3Failed junk - no response from mfr to warranty claim Prior to this, the timer has been fully reset several tiems, correct time and on/off times set... and was working ok.At random, after a few days, it flakes out and shows the wrong time, and fails to turn the lights on/off at the correct times. I've gotten up in the morning to see the lights still on, and watched them switch on in the middle of the afternoon. The manufacturer has not responded to a warranty claim made several weeks ago, so I'm stuck with this cheap junk unless i can get some help from Amazon.Purchased as a 2-pack. the other one is on the wall now, but I'll just assume it's a matter of time before it breaks, too. This photo was made at 6:43pm on a Tuesday. The timer shows the current time as 17:07 on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 1Buy this 2-pack of timers to throw away money I bought this to use when I go on vacation. The first time I used them they both worked. The second time I used them one worked. On the other one the clock works but it won't turn the socket on or off. There is a warranty link on the product page. I tried to call the phone number. No answer. There is an email address info@iPower.net but that address does not exist. I searched ipower online and there is an ipower.com (same owner). I sent an email to them but they do not respond. Buyer beware. 1One of two dead after a few months of non-use. Difficult to read the display. Difficult to read display. One of the two stopped working and display blank after a few months. Program keep-alive internal battery dead. Not user changeable. Keeping timer plugged into the power outlet did not charge or restore the unit to operation. I would not buy again. One unit worked okay when for awhile. 2Yes, I'm stupid and this confirms it. I bought this item to control the grow lights for my orchids. After trying repeatedly to program it I took it to my brothers house and had him give it a shot. He read the directions and reprogrammed the device. I brought it home and plugged it in. It still didn't work. Now I have to assume that my brother is (and by inference, my entire family are) stupid too. That's depressing but it does explain why none of us is incredibly wealthy. If we were we would just hire people to program this kind of stuff (or make it one of the responsibilities of their employment). Update: This all happened a year ago and I finally got around to ordering a mechanical timer. It took a couple of tries but I finally got that one working. The orchids are doing well and none of us are fabulously wealthy, yet. All in all it has been a minor blip on the radar screen of life. Good luck with yours! 3These timers have been awesome. I am a reptile keeper and needed one ... These timers have been awesome. I am a reptile keeper and needed one to power my lighting and one to power my misting system, and neither of them have failed on me yet. It's totally normal for me to use timers and then realize one day (when you're coming home from the airport at 2am or something) that the timer is garbage and the lights are coming on in the middle of the night because the switches or buttons aren't very good. This one is totally digital and after several months of use neither of them have failed or glitched on me at all. Very easy to program and it gives me a lot of programming options. 5One Unit Died on Q Like so many others that have reviewed this product, one of the two timers died after 4 months of use. The display and functions work, it just doesn t t switch power on to the outlets. I reprogrammed it multiple times using a YouTube video. It s sad that Amazon makes it difficult to contact this vendor as they don t give you a link to complain to the manufacturer and request a replacement. I felt I should have gotten more than 4 months out of this timer even though it cost $5. I would not recommend this product.Update: The company read my review and contacted me about a replacement which I have received. This one works perfectly and I thank Ipower for taking the time to make me whole again. Good company to buy from. 52nd one not working right after 2 mon use. No responce about 2nd timer I just tried to use one of them and it did not work its like no power is going threw red light does not come on the other 2 i got seem to work update 12/11 got my new time timer today and it works so i am a HAPPY man thank you very much. I no longer trust these timers now i have a 2nd timer that does not turn off at the pre set time. I have tested it to make sure it is not working right. I will now replace all times with mechanicle tmers. Will not buy diggital timers agin. This one i only got 2 months of use thats not right for the money spent. No resonce about 2nd timer from company. I say DO NOT BUY PICE OF S*#T 1Perfect 7 day timer I have several timers for different lights and even the bearded dragon's UV bulb, but this beats them all. 7 day program, or just program the same for all 7 days. Never had to read the manual, it was pretty intuitive. Quality construction. I love the fact that it has plenty of buttons, so you aren't scrolling through a bunch of menus. Highly recommend.Update: 9 months later, my opinion hasn't changed. About to order a large quantity for giveaways when they buy our Flower Power horticulture bulbs. 5
