Upgrade for Dell Inspiron 7567 Intel WiFi card 3165 - worked flawlessly.Used this to upgrade my Dell Inspiron 7567 WiFi card (Intel Dual-band AC 3165), which is known for its low end performance. On the previous card, using my Xfinity internet plan of 150Mbps down/10Mbps up, I'd get about 40-50 Mbps down/4Mbps up on average. With the upgraded 8265 card (which required no additional antennas) my speeds are now 80Mbps down/6Mbps up on average (occasionally reaching even past 100Mbps down/7Mbps up), which is an actual noticeable improvement from before since pages now load in a matter of milliseconds as opposed to a couple seconds. While that may sound trivial, trust me, it makes a world of difference when downloading games from your Steam library or even transferring files across your local internet drives. Installation was very easy considering how openly free to upgrade the 7567 is made to be - just remove the WiFi card screw/cover, unplug two antennas, then replace the card sliding it in at an angle and follow those other steps in reverse. Highly recommend this upgrade, for the cost versus performance it's well worth the money.Update: I took a second screenshot of the speeds while on AC power (the others were on battery) and the results are much better, as expected.5Great replacement card for Dell XPS 13Purchased this card for a Dell XPS 13. The oem installed wifi card (as everyone who owns this laptop) is severely lacking. The laptop is great but the wifi experience was miserable. I was lucky if I got 20 Mbps down. The only way I received a good speed is if I literally sat by the wifi router. From what I could tell, past a few feet the installed Broadcom wifi card lost most of its zap. This Intel wifi card is wonderful. It provides very high transmission rates and doesn't require me to sit on the router. Replacing it was very simple. If you are thinking of doing this and do not have experience with this type of work, don't hesitate. I do work with computer hardware but feel just about anyone could handle this install. Many walk throughs and videos on web. You will be glad you did it.5It works, just be aware. I explain the details inside. It was packaged well. It is quite small, about 1/4 the size of a chewing gum stick. I bought this product to replace the killer 1535 found on the dell xps 9560. You should be aware that the device is M.2 type connection, while it plugs into the board perfectly the cables on the board do need to be inverted, otherwise will you never get a signal lock. I have provided images to assist with the task. The first image is the two devices side by side. Killer on the left, Intel on the right. The second image shows how the Killer 1535 was plugged in.The third image shows the Intel 8265NGW but the cables are inverted. ***5Used this little $20 dollar wifi card to replace the k1535 in my blade pro fhd and it just works. So stoked!I bought a brand new Razer Blade Pro FHD that had a Killer Wireless AC-1535 card in it. The out of box wifi experience was abysmal. Literally every 5 to 10 minutes, I would lose my connection. It was a living hell and I have never had such deep buyers remorse. After some internet searching, I found that I was not alone and this card had helped so many others. I was presented the option of shipping my $2k laptop back to Hong Kong, where they would test it against their local wifi and find nothing wrong (plus have my new investment MIA for 2 to 3 weeks or longer) and at best just put in another Killer 1535 card from hell, or spending $20, have this card delivered to my doorstep in 24 to 36 hours and have my WiFi issues completely resolved. I chose to order this card and I will never look back. It's like a brand new computer...for only 20 bucks!!! The wifi is flawless from every corner of my house. The connection is stable and fast and just works. Dang...it's really hard for me to imagine why any manufacturer would choose the killer competition. It was so cheap and so easy to install...took like 4 minutes. I am so ecstatic with this purchase.5ProblemsProblems. Not sure if mine is defective but will continue to troubleshoot before giving a final rating. Frequently drops wi-fi and bluetooth connection. Bluetooth devices (mouse, keyboard, speakers) stutter, skip, lag. I have 1 Gig internet so that shouldn't be happening. Sometimes I'm getting a measley 30 mbps download, other times 600 mbps. When I open my laptop up and remove the card and put it back in it works fine for a few hours then the same thing happens, starts dropping bluetooth and wi-fi connection intermittently. Even as I type this my bluetooth keyboard is skipping and lagging. When I put in my previous wifi card in (Intel 7265) I experience no problems what so ever. I've installed the drivers from Intel site, didn't fix the problem. I've checked that the pins and wires are secure. Didn't fix the problem. I'm extremely frustrated to say the least.2Purchase this NIC card if you want reliable performance.I replaced the NIC card that came with my Alienware Area-51 R2 with this updated Intel model and could not be any happier. Performance has been reliable and have not experienced a single drop. Software and driver can be found on the Intel website. Download the driver BEFORE you remove and replace the old card as there is no software with the package. Please note this is a M.2 card so make sure it fits before purchasing.5Fits, works, faster in Del XPS-15 9530This is a very good replacement network card for my DEL XPS-15 9530 64bit Win 10 machine.it only took a few minutes to swap out. you will need a small Phillips and a T5 driver. (if you are comfortable with opening your laptop, and as you are here, I assume you are). And be sure to match up white wire with white triangle / black to black. Yes, they are reversed on the new card, but no problem matching them up.Be sure to have the new driver downloaded from the intel site and ready to go just in case.In my case, it worked without doing the (Driver only) installation, but I did do the driver update from the downloaded executable to be sure I was running the latest and greatest.5Replaced OEM card in my Dell Inspiron 5558My download speed went from 18-22 mbps, up to 88-93 mpbs! A solid 4x speed gain. Worth every penny. I tested my speed with my ISP bench mark online test immediately before and after replacement.Remove two screws and the large cover on the bottom, remove small phillips screw holding in the wifi card, and gently pull the antenna cables straight up for removal from the card. gently insert replacement card, antenna cables and replace your cover and two screws. Bam, 4x wifi speed not alot of money. There's tons of you tube videos out there, just google it. Takes about 10-15 minutes total for a newbie. You'll need the tiny #1 phillips screw driver.Too bad Dell puts cheap, outdated wifi cards in their general budget laptops.... oh well.Very pleased.5Great wifi adapter for those with awful Killer branded adaptersGreat replacement for those terrible Killer 1535 adapters that Dell and Razer likes to use. Just better all-around everything (eg support, wifi stability, speed, etc).Replaced the following laptops so far:- 2017 Razer Blade Stealth- Late 2016 Razer Blade- Dell XPS 13 late 2017Now I have a collection of useless Killer 1535 adapters!5A little tricky to install in the Dell XPS 13 ...A little tricky to install in the Dell XPS 13 where it replaced a Broadcom board because of the main and aux cables swapped over. If you get confused replacing the 2 antenna cables, the colour coding worked for me - black cable to black arrow and white arrow to white cable. The Broadcom board in the XPS 13 would mysteriously cut Bluetooth off around 3 to 4 pm (once at midday) every day requiring a windows restart to come back up. So far (one week of use) it has not skipped a beat with the Intel board. It connects to our office wifi much more stably now too.5
