    like sometimesI bought 5 of these for a candle holder on my fireplace mantle. They are the perfect color.......until I actually turn them on. You can see they are fake because each one has the light positioned in the exact place. Now I see why they sometimes come in sets with alternating sizes. I must say...I was so surprised at how real these look & smell!3Look really nice!!These pillar candles look and feel realistic. The scent is not that noticeable once unwrapped, but then again I didn't buy them for that so it didn't disappoint me.They work well, have three options (off, on, and timer) which is what I was looking for. The timer works well.They burn much redder than the picture indicates. The striations which lend a more rust-colored tone to the wax disappear when lighted. They are very pretty!4Red candle not a good ideaThis review is for the RED or 'currant' colored candle. I was very pleased when I opened this candle. It looked really nice (real wax, looks just like a candle with a small black "wick") and had a very nice smell. All of that changed when I turned it on - it looked ridiculous. Why? Because the entire thing glowed red. Not glowing from the top like a real candle would do, but the entire thing glowed very bright red from top to bottom. Looked like a cheap plastic toy lit up... basically a red cylinder with a bright light inside. Not realistic looking at all. I ordered 4, opened one so I am sending the other three back. Oh well... guess I will keep the one and use it at Christmas time because it looks does like some kind of Christmas light. Maybe there is a reason why most all of the LED candles you see are ivory colored... they probably look more realistic than a colored candle. This thing is nothing more than a red light. If you're trying to land a plane or open a brothel then this is perfect. Gave it 2 stars only because it looks nice and well made, has a timer and uses 2 AA batteries. I've had ones that required 3 AAA batteries and they last about a week.2Reliable brandThese are in a row on a ledge in our guest bathroom and they are subjected to steam from a shower and work great - we have even left them on accidentally overnight a few times and have not yet changed batteries since we bought them. Nice glow. This is a good brand. I have bought them in other colors. The only thing I did not like was that if you are not careful unwrapping them or handling them the wavy lip at the top can break off in the tall places. When I was unpacking, I broke a few. It does not affect the look of our candles, since they are up high and the candle is a uniform candle throughout. If you want to fix it, hold the candle over a flame to remelt the wax a little and smooth over.5Love it!!Love these candles! With a house full of cats, I was so afraid of a real flame lighted candle being knocked over. Now, no worries! I have these all over. Living room, kitchen, bedroom. Love the fact I don't have to worry about a fire, Love that there is a timer and I don't even have to turn them on or off, Love that it gives off a nice scent. and Love how pretty it looks. These candles are a win! Especailly if you have animals, then these candles are a must.5Great choice!Excellent! Not quite red, more like a rust color until they're lit, then they are a bit redder. After installing the batteries, I set the timer so they would turn off and on by themselves. The batteries lasted for 6 months, much longer than the other candles I bought on line. The other candles only lasted a couple of months and I installed all the candles with the same type of batteries from the same package. I will definitely buy more.5Adds Great Ambiance at a Great PriceI'm not absolutely in love with the scent (it doesn't remind me of pomegranate so much as... I don't know what), but it's not really unpleasant. The candle timer function itself is fantastic, and the candle is absolutely lovely. I have it on a giant mirrored sconce in my foyer, and my does it cast a beautiful flickering light! Best of all, I don't have to remember to turn it on and off nightly. For the price, I'd absolutely recommend and buy it again. I almost knocked off a star for the scent, but frankly, no one keeps their faces pressed to fake candles--we buy real ones for the strong scents. I can't smell this candle unless I'm a few inches away, and I don't really think the scent has anything to do with the function of why I purchased this candle.5Pretty but not too brightI got this, thinking I would use this as sort of a night candle that if i fall asleep I dont have to jump out of bed and remember to blow it out. Now, i like it, in the sense that I now use this as a low dim night light thats on because i wake up at 3am, in which my husband is still sleeping, and i can still see my dresser and some things without turning on a light. But i still use candles for more light when i need it. I would guess if i had a nice group of these, it would be better with the lighting, but for the price, im not going to buy like 4 or 5 of them. Also, I had one shipped to my mother for Christmas, and it arrived smashed in on the bottom, and the bottom plastic mechanism fell completely out, and was rendered useless. So, I did make a good use out of it, but it doesn't replace a candle really.4Almost the perfect LED candleI'm quite satisfied with my purchase of the currant colored candle. Being made of real wax gives the look of a genuine flame powered candle. The wick itself is a small black nub of hard plastic that resembles a used wick that has broken off. The pillar has a 'distressed' look of thin scratches going around the circumference of the candle and while I think it looks quite lovely, it is a matter of personal opinion. Two AA batteries provide the power and the brightness seems accurate for a candle of this size. There is an auto timer which runs for five hours in a row during the same time each day depending on when you set it. I've had it going for over a week now with no issues to report. My only problem with the candle is the location of the glow. Like some other reviewers have mentioned, it seems too far down the pillar and would look much nicer and more realistic if it were closer to the top. I realize that some candles are able to burn that low without melting the top but it just looks wrong here and keeps this from being a 100% perfect candle for me. Still, I don't regret my purchase at all and I also own some of the smaller sizes!4Look nice butall three came in cracked and broken. These come with a plastic clear sleeve around them, and without it you would have nothing more than rubble. All were cracked beyond use, and unusable. Amazon gave an immediate refund, so they stood behind the product. Other's we've purchased have held up well, but this particular item isn't worth the money or aggravation. I gave this 3 stars, only because of the way Amazon stood behind it. Otherwise, they would of gotten a 1 star rating.3
