Not reliable. I bought this 8/8/16 and for the last couple of weeks the alarm that is set for 7am daily missed going off 3 times. I was awake at the time it was scheduled to go off so I know for a fact that I did not just sleep through it. I cant depend on it any more and i have it for less than 11months. 1Okay if Sound Quality Isn't Your Priorty If most of what you're looking for is a clock radio, this will do just fine. If sound quality is important to you, this is a bad option. The sound is very tinny and has no richness. I liked the look of this, but ultimately returned it as my first objective for a clock radio is good sound.Also, there was something large rattling around inside mine when it came out of the box. I don't know if this intentional and/or affected the sound quality, but either way, it went back to Amazon. 3Not worth it, broke 1 day after the return date. I spent SO much time trying to get the right clock and bluetooth speaker. This worked so well for the first 3.5 weeks. Then of course, the day AFTER the return limit, I was listening to my tablet with it and it started to get all staticky and the bluetooth stopped working. I contacted the seller but they told me Amazon was the fullfillment and it was past time. So I am stuck with something I can't use like I need to and paid a lot for. I'm really unhappy as this wasn't cheap for me as I'm on a seriously fixed and limited budget. 1Missing some standard features, plus a serious bluetooth annoyance On the plus side, this has nice sound quality compared to other alarm clocks. Also it has three levels of brightness that are easy to adjust (just tap the snooze button) and a USB charging port and audio-in cable. It's compact and you can set different radio stations for each of the two alarms.It is lacking some standard features that are found on much less expensive radios:1) No weekend cancel mode (so you must turn off alarms manually on weekends)2) No daylight savings mode (this is especially strange since you can set and display the date)3) All the buttons are flat (not just flat, but level with the top surface of the radio too), making it difficult to find the right button (or any button) by feel (when you want to turn off the alarm, it's the button in the back row on the left, but nothing makes it stand out by touch).These are such obvious drawbacks, I bet the designer never used or tested this clock.PLUS, A serious annoyance that makes it unusable as a bluetooth device unless you live alone and don't mind beeps all the time: Every time you come within range of the radio with a paired device (cell phone), it beeps twice. It is incredibly annoying and renders bluetooth to be an unusable feature, especially if you ever have a sleeping partner when you wander in or near the room it's in.I'm debating keeping it and/or dropping my rating to two stars (currently 3 stars). For now I have to disable bluetooth to use it at all. The one saving grace is that there is a line-in cable included so I can plug that into my cellphone headphone jack if I want to play audio from it.I think it's overpriced considering these drawbacks (currently about fifty bucks).Also I want to say something about the (currently 3) people who gave this radio a 5 star review. 5 star reviews should be reserved for items that are nearly flawless in design/function and/or an incredible value (e.g., low price compared to the alternatives). This radio achieves neither objective - not even close. 3Great sound and quality! I loved my speaker. Very small and compact. The volume didn't go as high as I had wanted but is still great quality sound. My only complaint is that my phone connects to the Bluetooth every time I'm around it, even if it's off. So whenever I receive a phone call it automatically goes through the speaker. So you have to be careful and turn off Bluetooth when you're not using. Other than that I really enjoyed this product! 4Don t let other reviewers talk you out of it I had to write a review because I simply can t understand why there are so many bad reviews for this product. I LOVE this clock! It was exactly what I was looking for. I did a bunch of research on several different clocks because I wanted something that fit in with my decor, and not just some huge black plastic paperweight sitting on my nightstand. I settled on this clock radio and I am very happy with my choice. It s small so it doesn t take up a lot of space on the nightstand, but it s also aesthetically pleasing. It has a dimmer for the display which I love. I have it on the lowest setting and can still easily read the time. It can also turn the display completely off if you re the type of person who doesn t want any light when they sleep. It also has a USB port which was important to me so I could charge my phone at night. Having it all in one keeps the nightstand looking clean without wires going everywhere.There is one negative that I will say: the buttons are a little bit hard to get the hang of when first setting up the clock. With that being said, if you have enough patience to read the instructions step by step, the process becomes clear. And after a few days of using the clock, the buttons become second hand.Overall, I am super pleased with the clock. I ve had it for about a month. If any issues develop, I will update my review, but I don t foresee that happening. 5Just what I needed! I received my iHome alarm yesterday and I immediately unplugged my old 12 year old Sony and went through the instructions for setting it up so I could have it wake me up to my favorite music this morning and it did not deny. I read some of the reviews and I have to admit I was a little skeptical, however, after reading through the instructions and setting it up it woke me up this morning without a glitch. I had it set on Bluetooth and my only recommendation is once you get up just hit the Bluetooth button on top to disconnect or it will do that beeping sound that some of the reviewers were complaining about. I tested it out last night to see if I would here that beep, which I did, however, just turn the Bluetooth off and all is good, I'm bery happy with this purchase! 5I've never wanted to shoot an electronic device more... This thing combines my disdain for cheap crappy sound with my abhorrence of incessant beeping and still manages to be frustratingly difficult to work with. I would think it would take sheer talent to come up with something with that level of crappy combination but I guess I can't say I have that experience.To start with, it sounds like what you might expect to hear from a tin can telephone, it's tinny and cheap sounding. I get it, it isn't an expensive device, so I can overlook some of that, but what if lacks in sound quality it makes up for in annoyance factor. It can't get the lyrics to a song at a reasonable volume and audible level, but it has no trouble with the incessant beeping, which it does anytime a connected bluetooth device enters or exits range, and by the way this can't be turned off. Yeah. So it's an alarm clock, meaning when the night owl spouse enters and exits the somewhat arbitrary Bluetooth range at all hours, this thing feels compelled to incessantly beep in my ear at all hours. What's even better is that somehow it manages to both have a strong enough signal to find the phone all over the house and yet be crappy enough to drop it and reconnect, often 8-10 times in a 5 minute period. Totally charming when one is trying to sleep a few feet away.I will give it points for durability though. I've dropped it, tossed it, the kids have ripped it from the cord, that crazy incessant thing keeps on beeping obnoxiously. Like the energizer bunny from hell. Perfect gift for a particularly obnoxious family member though. 1This works fine as a clock radio and as an alarm This works fine as a clock radio and as an alarm. The sound is very good on the classical station that I listen to, and the alarm is very reliable. I do need to push the alarm button to turn it off before weekends and holidays, but that is easy to do. The screen dimmer is a great feature, which can turn it completely dark before going to sleep, and make it bright after the alarm goes on. The dimmer bar doubles as a snooze alarm, so if you press it to make the screen bright, the radio will go off for five minutes or so. I don't use it to charge my iPhone, and I don't use Bluetooth, so those are not issues for me. Very reasonably priced; a good value for the money. I've had this clock radio for almost a month at this time (since 2/18/2018), and plan to keep it for a long time. 5More dimmer settings, please Clock arrived broken. If the dimmer were used to decrease the brightness of the display, after a few minutes the display would flicker on and off for a while, before finally going completely dark and unreadable even in the darkness of night. An electronic product arriving broken, though, happens, so I'm not trashing the clock because of this experience. Returned the clock to Amazon and ran out to the local store for a replacement.Now that I have a working clock, the only complaint I have is there are only 4 dimmer settings from "light up the room" bright, to "completely off and unreadable" dark, with just two settings in between. The next setting up from "completely off" is still too bright for me as I'm a little sensitive to light when trying to sleep. Wish there was at least one more setting between the two.Otherwise, I'm satisfied. The clock is easy to pair with an iPhone, and the Bluetooth works well. Dual alarms is a must as I have two weekday schedules. I like being able to program the duration of the snooze button, too. Interface for adjustable options is fairly intuitive - if you want to program a feature (i.e. snooze setting duration, presets, etc.), hold the corresponding button down for a few seconds. If the clock beeps, you'll have some options to play with.For a little inexpensive, bed-side clock, the sound is satisfactory, too. 4
