    Not bad, but not perfect for me I'm not sure the 3 star rating is right, but for furniture making, I find my similar Festool(made by some other company) tape measure easier to use. Just getting the tape away from the body on this model is challenging. After that it's fine. The Festool just doesn't have that issue and they have a similar set of features. For rough carpentry, you should look elsewhere. This and the Festool are "less tool" for your money. For fine woodworking, both are worth investigation. With the desight on this, it can actually be used for marking and some may find that more useful that I do. This one has a stronger spring and just as easy to get inside measurements for built in cabinets. 4 or 5 stars might be appropriate for you. 3Quality / Clever Features / Metric Nice. Really well made - Swedish company. Ordered it on Amazon and it came from the UK in a week with free shipping!See the movie: [...]I have all sorts of other (cheaper) tape measures but I like using this one the most. It doesn't have the slipping end tab to facilitate inner & outer measurement, so you don't have to worry about the slot wearing and getting inaccurate. It has a short flip out rear tape to register the back of an internal measurement. It has a very strong lock that is always locked unless you press the (METAL!!) button. When it is locked, you cannot force it to slip.It retracts very well and you can actually get replacement tapes. It has little verticle blades on the ends of the front and rear tapes, and front of the body. The idea is to take the measurement, lay it on the work piece and scratch a perfect replica of the measurement on the workpiece without reading anything. When using it this way, it eliminates reading errors. The only thing is, it is metric. Since I like using it, it may get me to start using the metric system in my woodworking. Using inches is ok within a 1/4 of an inch or so but smaller than that, or calculating (subtracting 4 7/32" from 6' 10 5/16" for example...I know it's nuts!!), metric makes way more sense. Just need to get used to it.UPDATE 9/26/16:Still love it! Making some drawer boxes and using metric measurements is soooo much better. Cutting to the millimeter...subtracting for drawer slide widths....so much easier then using fractions. 5Cabinetry is going metric. This is a wonderful addition to my measuring and marking arsenal. Surprisingly useful. The inside measurements are really easy. 5Different - but in a good way. First, this is metric only, which I was well aware of. I do wish they offered an imperial option.The tape is locked by default - you must press the button to release it, that's a major difference with all of my other tapes, but it is logical when you think about it.When using the additional tape on the rear, it adds 10cm to your measurments, and the tape is calibrated for that. Great for accurate inside measurements.Although the case is plastic, overall it has a quality feel to it. The release button is metal.I'm happy I got it. 5Best! It's Hultafors for a reason.
