    Secondhand item?The product seems to work, but the box read opened inside with no instructions about the product. Did we get a returned item and not a brand new one? 2Nice and easy to holdMy husband is a disabled vet and we have to sit in the wheelchair row at the Performing Arts theatre. This is the last row. We have difficulty seeing some of the details on stage. I found these Opera Glasses. They are very pretty. They have a handle to hold them to your eyes. While at a performance, I did have to tighten the handle a couple of times. Other reviews state the black leather bag they come in has an odor. That is true. Kind of like a new car smell. It was noticeable but not offense to us. I believe the bag aroma will go away with time. I also purchased the 4X30 Gold Opera Glasses. After trying both pair, we liked the 4X30 better and I ordered another pair of the 4X30. Comparing both pair. These are lighter. However this pair magnifies 3X25. That may be enough for most people. Our eyes used the 4X30 better and we could see more detail with the 4X30. The 4X30 comes with an attached chain which allowed us not to hold the glasses while not in use. 4Don t waste your moneyCheaply made, impossible to focus in 2Great gift for the opera lover.Well-crafted and sturdy, though on close examination the burgundy plastic is not going to fool anyone into thinking that you have some sort of burled wood. Otherwise an attractive piece of glass with clear magnification. Width adjustment works well. I gave this to a friend and she was thrilled with it. 5BEATIFUL!Ordered this as a gift. They are simply gorgeous and they do work well! Item comes in a cardboard box with a leather drawstring pouch and cleaning cloth. I threw away the box and all the plastic bags that everything comes in, wrapped the glasses in satin (from Hobby Lobby) and bought a "mini wood chest" (again, hobby lobby, $5) and put them in that for the gift. Much better presentation. I did notice the red part of the handle needed to be tightened after we played with them for a few minutes. No big deal. Very happy, and very happy with the company's customer service. Package was delayed through no fault of theirs (winter storm, package was held up in my town) yet the company reimbursed my delivery fee. Very kind of them! Buying a second pair for me! 5We both love the handleMy daughter loves them. They will show approximately half the stage from the rear of the theater. Sorry, I don't have measurements. We were at the Sacramento Community Center Theater. I have a pair of opera glasses from the 1940's and they have the same view. We both love the handle. Wish they were a little lighter, but all opera glasses I've tried have been just as heavy. 5Pretty, but not very serviceableThese opera glasses are very attractive and come with a lovely little faux-leather bag. However, the magnification is poor. Definitely did not meet my expectations. 2It's beautiful and seemingly durable after 5 months nowIt works nicely and I'd definitely buy more if the occasion called for it. I appreciate how the handle doesn't feel loose after being used often. Overall, the richness of the shine and paint is durable and I'm satisfied with the purchase and cost thoroughly. 5Old Hollywood GlamourThese are super elegant and have a very good magnification.
