    Hosa YPP-117 cable Great cable--works as it is supposed to do. This cable connects my keyboard (with only 1 stereo outlet) to 2 channels on my digital recorder. 5A million uses, including "Roland drum splitter" Does precisely what it says on the tin. I use it for splitting Roland dual-zone drum trigger inputs. Also, If you own a reissued DOD Meatbox, you're in luck. This adapter will work on the output to get you the separate wet and dry outputs from the same jack, if that's what you're into. 5Only the one female plug is working on my adapter ... Only the one female plug is working on my adapter. I believe its the red colored one just does not work, so for me, this item was not helpful in any way. 3Converts your stereo signal into mono I bought two of these, sadly. Neither of them work properly. One of the channels is non-existent once you plug it in. Anything plugged into the red 'RING' input is dropped and never makes it to the 1/4 input. You will end up with a mono signal. 1Works great for Rickosound Very inexpensive way to have a 1/4 male TRS plug going to two female mono plugs with true stereo channel separation. For those looking for a y-adaptor that allows you to plug in two stereo headphones into a single 1/4-input, this is NOT what you are looking for. Each female jack here is mono (one for left channel and the other for right channel). 5Just what I needed for an effects-loop on a Crate Powerblock Guitar amp *related* review ahead. I have a Crate PB150 Powerblock "backup" amp in case my regular amp doesn't work. I needed a way to get my pedals/pedalboard into the effects-loop of the PB150. The effects-loop on the Crate PB150 is a "tip/ring" kind of thing instead of dedicated "Send" and "Return" (normal/regular amp). SO, I can take my send and return from the pedalboard and hook it into the Hosa YPP-117 1/4" TRS to Dual 1/4" adapter, then into the PB150 and I'm set! This is an ABSOLUTE thumbs up for this cool, little cable adapter! Works perfectly for my needs! 5the 1/4" stereo jack on this item is too short ... the 1/4" stereo jack on this item is too short and doesn't lock into place when plugged in so i ended up having to cut some of the plastic off so that it would actually work. i included images so you can see how long a normal jack (left) is and how the jack on this item (right) is shorter, and then i included a photo from after cutting off some of the plastic. hopefully they can adjust the manufacturing slightly. 2
