    Whisper quiet This thing wouldn't stop the thieves having a soft spoken conversation.I have aLynx Touch L7000 and the built in siren is louder than this by far. 1Five Stars works great 5Goog product Good product 4Loud ... excellent addition to the Honeywell l7000 or 5200 Very, very loud siren ..... if you are used to those tiny little x10 sirens, you need to know this is generations ahead .... the unit will cover the entire AC outlet ..... it is screwed in place for additional tamper security ... it has an on-board backup battery if it ripped away from the AC socket during an event .....To install you only need to open the back of the siren .... attach the battery lead to the PC board .... set the dip switches to your l7000 or 5200 house code .... replace the back cover, and plug it into AC ..... it will now react to any alarm event on you system .....Technically, you don't have to plug it into an AC outlet ..... you can plug it into an extension cord and place it any where you want ... I.e. conceal it behind a potted plant or what have you .....It's expensive, but you should have at least a couple for that 'surprise' factor to the intruder when the alarm is sounded ..... it's also an additional sounder when the smoke or carbon alarms sound .....//Carl 5It's OK. Poor range. Pretty neat idea to have a "wireless" siren that will work with a "wireless" alarm system. The range on the unit is not very good. I was only able to get about 20' from the Lynx home base to get this to work. This was in an older block home and the construction should have yielded better results. I also had to put in a dedicated 110 volt outlet since I did not want it to "hog" an existing outlet. The siren is just like the similar looking interior one the Ademco has in their lineup and the loud high pitched warbling tone is the same. 3Good build quality, complicated configuration Bought this to add on to my alarm setup recently. It's a well constructed unit, though it does take up both outlets on the wall, and was a pain to configure due to poor instructions. My best tip is don't misunderstand the dip switch section and leave switch 6 enabled when you don't need to. It's loud, but much more high frequency than just obnoxious loud, which is kind of what I was looking for. 3Not as loud as I had hope, limited range. Relatively easy to set up if you are familiar with programming. Nice supervisory functions and features, along with a tamper switch. A little larger than I thought, and you must have a dedicated outlet and one within wireless range of your transmitter. I found the range to be a bit short, as I have other sensors much further away than the outlet that I was eventually able to get a signal at. Loud if you're right near it, but it didn't carry as far as I had hoped and, coupled with the limited choice of outlets due to the reduced range, it didn't seem very loud in the area that I was hoping that it would. 3It does the job It's better than expected. Have it installed where an electrical outlet, in a secure (out of reach) area that has ventilation in which sound con go through, is available. For suburban neighborhoods and apartments complex is ideal. 5Five Stars Easy install. Works good. Saved me the $180 the alarm company wanted to do it !!! 5Works great as an additional siren It worked OK but I did notice that it is not as loud as the AC siren. The other issue I noticed it that the battery once charged, does not last very long. Thus the 4 stars rating. Could just be a bad battery. But, its great for adding a remote siren anywhere there is a 110 V plug and not have to run wires. It also has a tamper switch where it will set the siren off if it is unplugged for some reason. I placed it in my garage and it works fine. Works perfect with the Honeywell Lynx Touch and is easy to program right from the Lynx touch screen. 4
