    It does what it supposed to do!This works excellent! Just plug and play out of the box. Did not use included CD because no disc drive on my Acer notebook running Windows 8.1. Drivers were automatically installed upon inserting USB. Works well with Time Warner cable high speed modem. I bought this product because my built in wifi adapter did not work with the new modem.5Does not work at same speed as normal ethernet.I bought a new computer. Well problem with state of the art computers is they are thinner then the ethernet plug so are wifi only for internet. I was having problems with new computer getting along with office wifi. So bought this plug for the usb. It worked at like dial up speed. Was literally watching the screens load one line at a time.1Lasted Nearly 2 YearsI bought this product in September of 2010, and it had recently fell apart (my fault. I took it apart, actually - long story).I used it for two years until AT&T recommended we use their USB adapter (D-Link), which died (after extreme and rigorous use) last year around August.Used this badboy (I'm cool) for the reminder of the year and ended up accidentally taking it apart thinking it was the adapter that was faulty, but it was my USB drive that couldn't read it (huh, guess it wasn't that long of a story after all.)But, damn my incentive to take "broken" things apart. It might have still been running strong.5Pretty Good, Once I Got it GoingDecent wireless USB. Installation was trial-and-error. My computer has Windows 8.1, and I was able to eventually get it running using the installation CD. Note: after a couple of unsuccessful installation attempts, I called the support number on the box. I called during normal west coast operating hours and got a recording to leave a voicemail or send an email. I didn't do either, and just plugged away on my own. No telling how long I might've had to wait for someone at HiRO to get back to me.3Works greatPlease be aware if you only have 2.0 usb connections it will not run higher than about 95mbs. Not the device's fault but speed of the usb 2.0 slot. When I used it with a laptop with a 3.0 slot I got the maximum mbs that I'm paying for.5Five StarsAwesome product, came as described.
