    The best quality available.I have bought two of these hand straps so far and would be hard pressed to try a different brand. Top quality and functionality. 5On one hand the leather quality is quite good. On the other hand it really didn't meet ...I have mixed feelings about this product. On one hand the leather quality is quite good. On the other hand it really didn't meet my expectations for fit and function. To be fair, I installed it on a Nikon D800 with the extra battery holder (instructions were not good at all). The straps were long enough to accommodate the extra thickness but when adjusted so the camera felt secure, I couldn't reach the controls with my fingers. I suppose I could monkey with it a little longer to make it work. Recommend it...probably not. 3Excellent strap - follow the manufacturer's video instructions to attach itThis is a well-made, strong, and good-looking handstrap. I, for one, much prefer holding my camera in this way instead of by an over-the-neck strap, which allows the camera to swing around and crash into whatever's available to wreck it. It also seems safer from a thief who would grab it from off your neck. IMPORTANT: attaching the strap to the camera will drive you completely crazy. There are several you tube videos that supposedly show you how, but do not. The only one to watch is the video posted by the manufacturer at blog.naver.com/herringbone9. Ignore all others. Even this good one will make you crazy, but finally you will get it right. The strap can be attached to your arca-swiss plate or whatever you have. I wonder how many green or pink ones they sell, but several of the styles they offer look terrific. 5For a lighter body and lens combination it is even more comfortable in the handThis is a finely crafted item that makes hanging on to five plus pounds of DSLR and Telephoto lens much less of a chore. Sure enough, the Herringbone is a finely crafted leather product. The quality of the leather is top notch, the stitching is even and the thread used is plenty sturdy to perform it's duties. The padded grip portion of the system seemed smaller than depicted in literature, but I wanted to try it out anyway.It went together quite easily even though the procedure is involved enough that you wouldn't want to install and uninstall on a regular basis. Once adjusted, it turned out to be quite comfortable and secure. I've since used it on several jobs and it has broken in to fit like a glove. I think I would be lost without it now.This solution is not the cheapest on on the market, but if you seek a well made, slightly understated grip that you immediately develop trust in. This is your grip. 5Buy it.Yes it is expensive. So I give it only four stars.But do yourself a favour. Buy it.Unless you can find another good quality leather camera hand strap that is not fake leather and is actually strong enough.My old Opteka strap self destructed after 3-4 years. The Herringbone will probably outlast me. 4
