Customer Reviews

One of the better made ones out there. Definitely one of the better looking and better made hand straps I've owned, and I've owned several different brands. I use this on a Nikon D810 with and without battery grip. You kind of have to fidget around with it a bit to get it to feel right. 4Far beyond expectations This is a great hand grip the the Sony that I have. In the past I have used a cheap pleather on, but this is much much better. Don't let the price scare you. This is a high quality item, even the packaging is above average.I guess the best word to describe it is "Professional".. I don't think you can find any better 5and I love this new leather camera grip I am a professional photographer, and I love this new leather camera grip. I have just recently put it on my new Canon 5D Mark three with a battery pack. This camera and a lens are considerably heavier, and with this new leather grip it just feels more secure in my hand. I carry my camera in my right hand most of the day shooting. So it feels very secure. The leather and detail stitching makes this grip in the category of a well-made Porsche versus a Volkswagen. Love the grip and would recommend it to anyone.Ted 5Very high quality, thick leather strap. Very high quality, thick leather strap. Best hand strap that I have used. Even better than the original Canon E-1. This one is more robust. I especially like the built-in quick release plate for tripods. Very well though of.At first I was afraid this strap and plate would block the battery door on the bottom of the Nikon D750 but it doesn't not. The strap has to be pushed out of the way a bit but not an issue. 5... Hand Grip Type 1 Hand Strap (black) is an excellent piece of equipment Edit 1/4/2017: I added a few pictures because I noticed in the Q&A section that somebody asked about the ability to add a neck strap and was answered No. As you can see in the pictures I added, a strap can be attached using the metal piece provided. The Herringbone Heritage Leather Camera Hand Grip Type 1 Hand Strap (black) is an excellent piece of equipment. I carried my camera by the neck strap that came with it for quite some time, but I didn't care for the way it worked. I constantly found myself carrying the camera in my hand so it was quicker to bring up on a subject. I was afraid that my hand could get wet from rain or sweat and I'd lose my grip. I purchased the Herringbone Heritage Leather Camera Hand Grip Type 1 Hand Strap in March of 2016 and have used it non-stop for 6 months now. It is comfortable and looks great on my Pentax K-50. Easy enough to install and adjust. It comes with a small adapter so you may attach a neck strap to it. I do this if I anticipate long hours walking or hiking. I have shot with this in the snow and a torrential downpour with no bleeding of the color. It does come with a tri-pod plate that has a threaded hole if the plate is the wrong size for your mount. The strap is highly adjustable and my hands being slightly to the large side, I had no problem getting the correct fit. All buttons and dials are still easily accessible and it does not interfere with my battery door. I can highly recommend the Herringbone Heritage Leather Camera Hand Grip Type 1 Hand Strap with no reservations what so ever. 5Well Made Strap. Not really functional with small cameras. The leather strap is nicely constructed and put together really nicely. There is no doubt about the quality of the strap on its parts. The only thing to note is that the main padding which secures your hand to the camera is "long" (long as in longer than the hight of a Sony Alpha 7 from the shutter button to the base of the camera). If the padding is longer than the side of the camera you intend to use it with, you may find it difficult to use the strap because you won't have a lot of space to grip the camera once the strap is attached (The strap needs to go though the camera's side loop and because of the thickness of the padding, it takes up some of the grip space). If you intend to use it with larger systems, this shouldn't be an issue. If you use an Alpha 7 and have a battery grip, I'm quite sure the battery grip would solve the issue given the extra grip length. 5Perfect for "Shoot and Runs" The Herringbone Heritage Leather Camera Hand Grip was a great purchase. Especially if you're like me constantly tucking your cam away after a "shoot and run" haha.. One thing that I would recommend for the company is to add an instruction summary on how to strap the grip on a nikon or canon. I had to youtube the instructions to figure it out. Either way, I love the feel, the design, and the way it holds! Two thumbs up!Here's a link to the video on how to strap your Herringbone grip: [...]Hope this helps! 5From a cheapskate - spend the extra. toyed with many ideas, in the end all the reviews on this swayed me. I have some serious arm and hand issues, and my d200 is not light. I do have to scooch it a bit to get battery or card, but I dont care. I have it attache to the plate setup from my sling and it installe easily. It looks great, and honestly, I really like the feel of the leather and wouldn't get that with vegan leather. Im tough on my equipment - will update over timehappy shooting 5Definitely well crafted with good leather but I found that the strap was too ... Definitely well crafted with good leather but I found that the strap was too thick to go through my Canon strap mounts and I had to use a nylon strap instead for the part that went through the camera body. I still kept the leather hand padding though 3but I have grown to like this grip It's taken some getting used to, but I have grown to like this grip. I never used the camera strap around my neck that my camera came with. I'd always wrap it around my hand. I saw this strap and realized that it would be much more secure and it keeps the camera in your hand and instantly ready to take a picture. The quality of the strap is outstanding as well. 5
