    Easy installation. Good light quality Easy installation. Good light quality, looking forward to energy savings. Friction clips were much easier to use than the spring mounting. It was a bit tricky to run the ground wires, having a helper to hold things would be a good change for next time. 5Easy installation These lights are easy to install and are LED so they do not use much electric. If you want them on a dimmer switch they are like all LED's that I have dealt with, they dim but if you leave them dim and turn the switch off they may not come back on when you turn the switch on until you turn it off and on again or maybe even have to turn the dimmer up. Without a dimmer they are AWESOME! 5Great product - easy to install These seem like pretty high quality lights. They are easy to install and I like this particular color temperature, They are pretty white but not so white you feel like you are in an operating room! However, mine buzz. I bought a dimmer specifically designed for LEDs but they still buzz. Not too loud but definitely audible. 4Flexible Mounting Options Makes These Replacements a Problem Solver I was stuck with some recessed lights that I assumed to be 4", but the 4" replacement lights that I purchased didn't work. I even tried some 5/6" replacements that proved to be too big. I finally measured the ceiling openings and the metal cans, and it turns out I have some odd-sized Progress Lighting in-ceiling lights, which are bigger than 4" but a hair less than 5".The spring mounting system allows you to move the springs in an out about an inch and is probably the only one that will actually work in a 5" can. As you can see from the photos, you can slide the mount on each side to make it fit. In my case, it was still about 1/2" too wide, but fortunately you can remove the standard springs and put in metal friction springs that can be bent to fit in pretty much anything down to 4" cans.These are high quality, the light is good (and bright); the surrounds are a little big, but that's a byproduct of the flexibility allowing it to fit 4" to 6" recessed lights, so I can live with that. Highly recommended. 5Good Value Easy Upgrade for old can lights Great improvement over our dated can lights from 15 years ago. The builder put in those giant 6 inch spots...horrible looking energy wasting things. Anyway the holes were not cut perfectly in the ceiling, so these rims didn't quite cover, just shy by 1/4 here and there...but were really close so we filled it in with caulk. I000 percent improvement for little cost, and not a lot of hard work. These are all in one lights and fixtures, so no bulbs. So hopefully they will last a long time. The 3000k color is a little whiter than incandescents/halogens. 90 CRI is superiour and doesn't distort colors or look too yellowish, but still not quite as warm as most people are used to. Might want to try the 2700K temperature one. ?? Very happy overall! 4Easy install. Easy to add onto existing lights. Looks great. 5Great quality LED's Found these from an amazon seller for $8 less each than the local lighting supply store where they were recommended to me. (Locally they were $42 each and I got them for $34 here.) These particular ones are 3000K (color temperature) and fully dimmable. Additionally, they have a CRI of 92. Be VERY careful and make sure you get the correct item number if you order these. I suggest you check the Cooper Lighting website for the exact combination of color temperature and CRI that fits your needs/desires. I was told these are far superior to what you typically find in the big box stores. They were easy to install. I had Cooper Halo 6 inch cans and they fit in perfectly. I put 8 of them in my new kitchen. The color is not nearly as warm as incandescent bulbs. If you want that warm glow, you should go with 2700K. However, these are not as harsh as fluorescent bulbs. They are just white enough and make the colors of the room pop. Make sure you get a compatible dimmer, as these are bright. I got a Lutron dimmer from their Skylark line. It's listed as compatible with these lights and works great. I would not want these without a dimmer and tend to keep them at about 50-70% power.Some people complain about a "hum" with some LED lights and dimmers. I can tell you that in complete silence, mine have a very slight hum. However, in a kitchen, with a refrigerator running in the background you'll never notice it. I'm not an electrician, so it's unclear if this is caused by the lights or the dimmer. With that being said, I probably would not install this particular combination in my dining room or living room where I would notice the noise and prefer a warmer tone to the light. But for a kitchen and hallway, they rock! 5good brand name nice conversion to LED. Can't go wrong with Halo always a quality product. Been installing for 35 years . 5So quick and easy to install Had flickering halogen lights that I got fed up with. Have replaced other pot lights with this kind of retrofit kit in the past. The design has since been improved to be shallower and less bulky so it can fit into tighter recessed cans. Got two and neither really fit flush against the ceiling after some banging and jiggling but it's barely noticeable. I made the mistake of trying to make it perfect and turned a five minute project into a 20-minute one. Oh well. The light is cooler than a soft white but not the stark white. Love the streamlined look and the metal trim makes it look more expensive. 5Excellent LEDs that look very clean and beautiful I bought Halo LEDs based on my contractor's recommendation, and they look and work absolutely great. He says he's been installing Halo LEDs for more than a year in homes including my friend's, the one who referred him to me and the feedback is all positive. I got 3000K and it's perfect. My contractor's preference was 2700K but that's too yellowish for me. 3500K might be too white for home use, in my opinion.They were very easy to install, it took the contractor about 5-10 min each. I already had cans for recessed lights but he had to adjust them to make more room (not required but recommended for extra ventilation).These are very reasonably priced ($36 each) and have longer life (50k hours) compared to others (CREE, Sylvania etc). 100bulbs.com has a great price on these but buying from them on Amazon saved a ton on shipping!I have them on dimmers (Lutron DVELV-300P-WH), a bit expensive but totally worth the price. Don't get the DVCL-153P-WH dimmers, they're not "electronic low voltage" type and not good for LEDs although they are labelled so. 5
