    Check your units when you get them I ordered 4 of these. 3 are fine and look nice. I used a 40R16 incandescent bulb that fits (yea, I know, it's not LED, but for bulbs like this, there is still not a good dimmable, warm-white option in that size). But the 4th unit was bad. It was obviously previously used. The mechanism was bent, and the insulation on one of the wires was stripped bare in one spot. That would be a fire hazard if I installed it. When you get these, make sure you check them all to ensure they are new units without any problems. (Amazon - you sold me a defective used unit that you charged me a new-unit price?) 2Five Stars Perfect, just what I ordered. Halo makes great product. 5Five Stars These are perfect for our slanted roof attic room. Love them!! 5Eyeball blinks too much! Eyeball mechanism is weak and does not remain in fixed position. Find another model. 1Be Cautious - Works OK, but be ready for issues First the positive: As you would expect, the trim eyeball comes with a fully adjustable eyeball, you can rotate the whole trim and swivel the eyeball to point it virtually anywhere in a 360 degree arc. The bad news: My product arrived from Amazon rattling inside the shipping box. I ordered two, and they both had shaken loose of their factory cardboard packaging. The eyeball is held into the trim by three metal clips that are quite small. Both trims were missing two of the three clips. I found 2 of the clips in the bottom of the shipping box, meaning I had 4 of the required 6 clips. The eyeballs would not stay in their housing without all three clips. So, I tracked down the manufacturer and called their customer service. FIVE Star. They shipped me two replacement trim kits at no cost. When these arrived, intact, I could see how the eyeball clips were never intended to be removed nor the eyeball every be removed out of the trim housing. One should swivel the eyeball out of its horizontal (flat) position, then rotate the whole trim (not the eyeball) to point the light where you want it. If you do that, all is well. Once in place, they work great. I used a 500 lumen LED 5 watt light and it is super bright... I use a dimmer to manage the light intensity. Happy with the end result, but not the initial Amazon fulfillment. (I contacted the manufacturer vs returning them to Amazon because I was hoping to just get two more metal clips, but alas, they are not available separately from the whole trim kit, hence they shipped two replacement trim kits) 4Description of item was accurate and matched our other two ... Thanks. 5Small accent light fits the bill A pair of these 4" eyeball lights are used to provide accent lighting to our dining room buffet. They have a finished good quality look when installed. Brilliant white color. You do need to cut the ceiling hole for whatever mounting box you use carefully as the trim around this light is not large, but with normal care you should not have a gap. The two fixtures I received worked smoothly on the up/down swing adjustment and were very tight/difficult to adjust in rotation. Contrary to some other reviews on this fixture, the sockets were ceramic and wiring all high temperature stuff. They look good and produce an attractively modest size pool of light with PAR 16 Flood bulbs (not included). 4Decent retrofit product Easy to find what we needed as an adjustable replacement trim for the downlights we installed. Our goal was to have an adjustable trim that would light some art pieces on the wall. It's a bit difficult to get the full aiming angle that we had anticipated - the trim in it's full aiming angle runs into part of the housing. But it's do-able if you take out the trim and move it to the max aiming angle, and then carefully push the trim back into the housing with the aiming angle set. Don't try adjusting the aiming angle of the trim when it's in the ceiling. 4Poor construction This product is poorly made. The bulb socket is brittle and easily cracks when changing the bulb rendering the kit useless. I've replaced several of these trim kits in my home over the last 2 years due to this problem. I finally got fed up with this repeated problem and ordered different trim kits for these fixtures (6 in all). Would not recommend this product. 1Nice wall washer. A perfect solution for a wall washer light. I needed to put some dim light on a painting over the fireplace. 4
