    Very pleased with this purchase These fit my 5" fixtures perfectly. Well made. Replaced 18-year old white trims that had badly yellowed. Makes the room look up to date and nicely brings brushed nickel, which is everywhere else in the house, into these rooms. Our local Home Depot and Lowes home improvement stores ran out of these, and I needed them to complete a renovation project. I was pleasantly surprised that Amazon carried them, and even more delighted that I could get them with free two-day delivery under Amazon Prime. The products came quickly, were packaged carefully, and were exactly the kind of product I got from Home Depot -- except they were about 20% cheaper! Way to go Amazon! 5Excellent trim, compatible housing and lights listed below These are attractive and well-made trim for 5-inch recessed lights. I installed 4 of these. Two on a sloped ceiling and two on a flat ceiling. The sloped ceiling required an eyeball or gimbal trim. I especially liked these because the "eyeball" portion does not stick out below the fixture as far as some others do. This meant I could use the same trim on both the sloped and flat ceiling portions without them looking mismatched or wonky the ones on the flat part stick out too far.Note that this trim requires the "Short" PAR30 bulb. You also need to modify the fixture to fit them in. Unclip the socket from the fixture/housing and remove the metal plate the socket was attached to. The socket then clips into the top of the eyeball trim. It only takes a minute to do, but it is something to be aware of if you have never used an eyeball trim (instructions were not provided, but it is easy enough to figure out). I used these bulbs, the silver/nickel finish of the bulb matches this trim well:Dimmable LED - 18.5 Watt - PAR30 - Short Neck - 120W Equal - 3200 Candlepower - 36 Deg. Flood - 3000K Halogen White - Soraa 00849Options for 5-inch trim are limited at the big box stores, so it was off to Amazon to search for a solution. I found these trims and matching housing. I liked that the trim and housing were specifically listed as compatible. I suspect many trim and housing are interchangeable, but it was nice to not have to worry about returning incompatible parts.There was an attic space above the ceiling I installed them in so I needed the IC (insulated contact) and AT (air-tight) fixtures. The fixtures were rather frustrating to install but did work. You can read my review on them to understand the issue. Still trying to find the right bulb. The BR30 / PAR30, which is what it calls for hangs out the bottom of the 5" can, so now trying other short size 30 bulbs. Also, this trims are expensive. Installation was fine. Using them on a slanted ceiling in the kitchen. 3Good value Would purchase again 5Extemely compact for a 5" If you are looking for the most compact swiveling eye than this is the one to get. Quality construction but bulb will be tight so don't overtighten- you'll not like trying to unscrew it with the palm of your hand! 5Perfect Redecorating Answer For Us We wanted to switch from white fixtures to lights with the satin nickel trim. These were the perfect answer. They look very contemporary and suit our decorating style.
