Customer Reviews

This thing is amazing. Works as described, maybe better. The drain for my washing machine slows about once a year resulting in a two hundred dollar bill from a plumber. I ran this through the same clean out the plumber used. Within a few seconds the vibration started, two minutes later the drain was flowing unrestricted. So easy to use I cleaned all the drains in my house, tub, shower, kitchen sink, and two pool deck drains in less time then the plumber normally took to do one. I will be ordering the 4-6 inch one so I can do the main clean out. Sorry plumbers. 5Worked for me. After reading all the other reviews I had to buy this product. My drain was clogged for an embarrassing three weeks after trying so many other products, including three different types of draino and probably four hours of snaking out gunk from my drain to only get worse results than when I started. I admit I was pretty nervous after reading the other review that my pipes would break but I decided to gamble and this time it happened to pay off. My water drains fine now and for the first time in my life I'm excited to clean my dirty dishes in my kitchen and go on with my life. Two other things I should note is first- the way my drain pipes are set up I was only able to fit the device 3/4 of the way in the drain which is not recommended on the product box. I again decided to gamble and try it anyway and it again paid off, only spilling a little water at the start and then worked normally after as the rubber was able to expand and seal. I'm not saying it will work all the time but in my case it did. The other thing worth saying is that I never heard the vibration noise but my drain is clear so I'm not worried. All in all totally worth the money in my experience. 5See above It opened my drain. Saved me calling a plumber. Had difficulty taking the end of my faucet off to connect the adapter. I used a roll of leak stopping tape to hold the hose on the faucet. About the time I was giving up due to water spurting out around the tape, the drain opened. Hurray 5should of bought years ago Worked like a charm, I wish I had bought one of these years ago. My drain for my washing machine and water softener (yes they use the same drain) would slow at least once a year and could not handle the amount of water the washing machine put out when draining. I would then have to move the washing machine and dryer so I could take the drain apart and clean it by hand. I was always looking for a way to clean the drain with out having to take it apart or call a plumber. I tried a couple of different snakes, baking soda cleaner, and store cleaners, and nothing really worked.I had seen similar devices at my local home improvement store but I did some research and found review for them and for the Drain King, and based upon those reviews I decided to buy the Drain King and give it a try. I decided on this kit due to it coming with a facet adapter and length of hose. The length was not enough that I could get from one room to another but long enough to reach most items in a single room.I hooked it up to the supply valve for my washing machine, put the Drain King down the drain as far as I could, it stopped at the p trap, I pulled back an inch or so, and slowly turned it on. With in a few seconds I heard the loud sounds of the Drain King coming to life and working it's magic. I let it run for 2 minutes, took it out and then dropped the hose down, turned the water on high, and the drain now handled it with no problem.I am now going to buy the smaller version for a few other drains in the house, and have already recommend this to a few friends that have similar problems. 5GREAT PRODUCT, BUT MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE RIGHT SIZE! BEWARE! BE SURE YOU BUY THE RIGHT SIZE! I purchased this Drain King because I KNOW THEY WORK! However, this particular one is too large for my bathroom sinks! I had to go back and buy the "1-inch to 2-inch" model. I'll keep this one, because it's not the Seller's fault, and it may come in handy in the future....if not for me, for family or a neighbor. I just ordered the 1-inch to 2-inch, and upon receipt, my problem I know will resolved. 4Highly recommended! I ordered this after research on YouTube. I had a drain clogged by cherry stems that the disposal did not chop up fine enough. I first tried liquid drain openers that guaranteed performance or money back that didn't work. I then tried a plunger that that didn't work. I then purchased a hand auger but that didn't reach it. I then tried muratic acid but that didn't work as will as the acid ruined the seals in the disposal so had to replace the disposal. The Drain King immediately worked!! 5Use these early before you get a tough block in your main line... I don't care what my plumber says, these worked beautifully and cheaper than having him come out! 5They WORK! After trying the baking soda/vinegar trick, the plunger method, and the electric snake trick to no avail, three of these GT bladders working simultaneously (kitchen sink - bathroom sink - shower) in combination worked for me!The problem: My kitchen and bathroom sink drains, in addition to my shower drain, were draining very slowly - about 12 to 15 minutes to see a clear drain. It must be noted that I experienced no backup or slow flushes with regards to my toilet. It worked fine (luckily). So I can only assume that my toilet is on a different drain pipe.I tried snaking my cleanout and all my drains - no go. I tried plunging and that didn't work either as the water would back up into an adjacent sink - either in the kitchen or the bathroom. I poured entire boxes of baking soda down all the drains, including the shower and then poured a gallon of vinegar into each drain. This also proved to be a waste of time and money.I decided to purchase locking drain-stops (basically, it's a plug that fits into your drain and when tightened, expands a rubber fitting tightly to the inside of your drainpipe thereby preventing backflow. I then used the GT bladder kit to force water through the kitchen sink drain while preventing my bathroom sink and shower from backing up with nasty water. This worked temporarily. But the next day while showering, I noticed flooding in the shower stall once again.I finally decided to purchase THREE bladders from GT and run them all simultaneously through the kitchen and bathroom sinks as well as the shower. I ran from room to room turning on the water for each and let it run on full force for 2 hours!!! I kept a close eye on my toilet and washroom drains to ensure that they were not overflowing or backing up and they withstood the pressure. Again, I can only assume that these two drains are on a different drainage system and not connected to the three drains in question. After 2 hours, I'm happy to say that I have no more slow drains or backing up of any kind.A local plumbing outfit gave me an estimate of $1100.00 to $1500.00 for a total cost and a 1 year guarantee.I spent roughly $150.00 for the faucet adapters, the GT bladders, and the local plumbing outfit charge for the estimate. But it WORKED! I'm happy! 5Fantastic The basement floor drain has been slow since I bought the house. I ve tried hot water and snaking but neither worked. I had a plumber in for some other work and asked him for a recommendation. This was his suggestion. Within 10 minutes of flushing, the floor drain is running great. 5Probably a combination of efforts worked for me not this alone. Maybe it was a combination of efforts worked for me. I have a 35 feet 2 in pipe from my kitchen to the main line. It is pretty much leveled. It has been completely blocked for some time.I first tried to snake through. I was able to get the 50 feet 3/8 inch snake almost all in there. I thought it had worked. I dumped water in and but still blocked. Over the night, I checked and it was down quite some. So, I poured in SCOTCH 1801 Main Line Cleaner Restores Flow to Main Sewer & Lateral Lines since it has very good reviews. Waited overnight and next morning I poured 3 big pots of boiling water. It was all gone! I was very happy and thought it was a magic. In the afternoon, I thought to make it even better. I poured another big pot of boiling water into it and was going to pour the 2nd and blocked again. Then I snaked it through again and poured in half of the Main Line Cleaner since I could only pour that much in. Overnight, no sign improvement. I tried to snake through again. Along the way, there were a few spots hard to get through. But I was able to eventually get it all the way in. Back and forth many times. But I didn't see much improvement. Still completely blocked. I could see the stuff in the pipe becoming like mud. But it did not go anywhere since the pipe is pretty much leveled. Then I found this product online and decided to give it try since I felt probably there was not strong enough force to push all the stuff through. I put it into the drain through the cleanout and it was about 4 or 5 feet into it. When I turned on the water to is max, soon all the stuff in there started to come out of the cleanout with the Drain King. I had to try very hard to push it back in. But it could not stay in there and the pressure kept pushing it out! I could see it full blown in the pipe but the friction between the pipe wall and the rubber was not strong enough to make it stay in. Eventually there were a lot of thick harden grease stuff all back out of the cleanout. It should have gone down the drain! Not backing up out!! I thought this product were really a joke. If it could not stay in the pipe, it is useless. It is supposed to block this end and force all the stuff down the drain! If it can not block the pipe, what is it good for? But anyway those stuff came out and I had to clean up all. So, I put the Drain King back in there for about 6 feet. I turned on the water again. This time it stayed in there without any problem. I don't exactly what happened. But I guess it may not work so well in a completely blocked case. Basically, if the blockage is stronger that it in holding the position, this guy will be pushed out since it keeps shooting water in it and the water has to go somewhere. When the blockage is weaken, this guys shows its power. I left it run in there for 10 min. I could hear it sometime making squeak noise. I am not sure how it works in there. When I pull it out and put the snake back in there, I could hear the sound that the tip of the snake knocking on the PVC wall all the way through. It means there was NOTHING left in the pipe at all! There were ALL gone!!So, eventually it all worked out even though I wished I would not need to clean up all those backed out. So, if it could not get them down the drain, it will get them back out. Either way, it eventually will make it all clean! 4
