Customer Reviews

Fits well in your hand and it almost feels and works as an extension of your body. Great quality product. This knife has many great things going for it, starting with been well built, great quality materials used for its construction, an outstanding sharp blade (I sharpened my further as I am a hunter and furharvester). The handle to blade ratio is excellent and fits well in your hand and it almost feels and works as an extension of your body. Definitely recommend this product, you won't be disappointed 5Sharp edge but poor construction I've had the folding coping blade for a little over a week and I loved it at first because it is sharp as hell and keeps an edge nicely. However, the blade already wiggles a lot and the metal pieces are already separating from one another. I'm pretty disappointed as I've only used it to strip small gauge wire. Wooden handle and locking mechanism are nice though. I would recommend it but only if you're gonna go easy on it. 3Good knife This knife is a little bit smaller than I thought it would be. My husband is a farmer with very big hands, so he would like it if it was just a tad bigger to get in and out of his pants pocket, but it must not be too big of a deal because I see him take it in and out of his pocket several times a day!He uses his pocket knife for everything. I like to get him knives that are made well because the poorly made ones don't last more than a month or two. Yes, he does abuse them, I admit, but I still like to see them last a year anyway. This one definitely seems like it will hold up. It has the full locking blade so when it is open, it is really open and he can then use it with the confidence and secure feeling that the blade won't slam shut and cut the back of his fingers. (Has happened before with the knives that lock open the other way--I think they might be called line lock? Not sure, but to clarify, they do not have the lock button on the back of the knife; rather the lock is like a lever inside the bottom of the handle and you have to have the blade facing upward to unlock it. Don't buy those....they are not trustworthy and you will cut yourself!)He has been using this knife for two weeks now and so far, so good. No loose joints or broken components. We are happy! 5I never give such great reviews. Best made electricians knife I've owned in 35 years no bs a apprentice of mine bought his first I tried and I bought. Love it and I'm a pro. 5Greenlee 0652-24 Wood Drop Point Pocket Knife Pros:The knife is handsome and it is a good size for a plain pocket knife. The rosewood scales are pretty nicely done and the fit and finish is good especially given the price of the knife. The pocket clip seems heavy duty for the size of the knife and is one position for point down carry. The knife is also small enough to be able to just throw in your pocket but still manages to feel good in the hand.Cons:The knife just did not come that sharp. Plain and simple.Opening the knife is also a bit difficult at first, but this is sometimes the case with new lockbacks so as a first impression I'm not that worried about this. One handed opening using the thumbstuds is also a bit clumsy if you have large hands but I suspect this will get better as the contact points on the hinge get worked in some and I get used to the knife. Overall if you're looking for a locking folder that is on the smaller side, then this is definitely a good option.Update: I put a little 3 in 1 oil on the hinge and sharpened the blade and am now used to opening it. I really quite like this knife after getting used to its smaller size, which is a pro and not a con for an everyday utility type knife. 4Good Everyday Electrician Knife I've been using it at work for awhile, and it's a very good everyday carry knife for an electrician. If I have a lot of cable to strip, I use a razor with the tip ground like a coping blade, but this knife is great for the odd cord slitting job and general cutting. I bought a second one. 5Beautiful Knife The only reason I put 4 stars and not 5 is due to the wood that was cracked in 2 places. You could hardly see, but one of them was along the edge and you could feel it. It was bought as a gift for a family memeber. I won't have time to return it since it is a Christmas gift and had to have it mailed out.Even though I had this minor issue with the knife I would definitely buy another one, especially since my husband really liked it. 4Looks nice but not to durable. Nice looking knife. For the do-it-yourselfer, it would be fine, I am an electrical lineman and use mine every day. After less than a month, the blade has loosened up. Within a week the pocket clip worked loose and I almost lost the screws that hold it on. I took them out and lock tightened them. Holding fine now. But the loose blade worries me. You get what you pay for. 4Great idea, bad execution. The blade on this knife is fine for the price (albeit in need of a good sharpening upon receipt from the manufacturer) and I was initially very satisfied with it overall, but after having it for a little over a month, I have two big complaints.First, there was a micro-fracture in one side of the wood handle when I got it, but it was so small I wasn't concerned. Today, however, the knife slipped out of my hand when I was removing it from the sheath and fell onto a carpeted floor in an office building I was working in. The fracture broke through and a chunk of the wood handle came off. If it had fallen onto cement, I'd understand it breaking, but I don't think it should have with how soft the floor was.Second, the sheath is very, very poorly designed. The knife slides through the plastic internal portion of the sheath and the tip of the blade ended up cutting through the fabric outer portion within a few days of wearing it. While it still holds the knife, the tip will puncture/scratch anything I sit on. Terrible design.I'd be happy with an exchange, but I fear it's too late. 1This is not a good product and expected more from Greenlee. Doesn t have a good feel in the hand and blade thumb control is piece of garbage, feels horrible and horribly thought out. Their folding utility knife is much better designed product. 1
