    One StarGave out after one month. 1Two StarsItem does not work with icom radios 2Good so farI was skeptical about buying this item wondering if the cheap price translated to an inferior product. After receiving it I found it to be constructed well and the sound quality was good for sending and receiving. I hope it holds up well 5Good ProductVery good product at an affordable price. No technical issues either. 4The good... The bad... And the ugly.I love this style headset and for the most part, this one met my needs. The issues that keep this from being a five-star buy were that the plastic had to be trimmed to fit into my radio, the Icom 51A. I'd have a LOT less to say about this but the seller told me it would fit and it KINDA does. To get it to fit right, you have to remove some material around the connector. The second issue is that the microphone sounds TERRIBLE. It's very muffled and even with the mic gain on the radio all the way up, the audio is still pretty bad. I'm almost positive that the culprit is the case. When these are produced in a way that they can be sold for this price, you have to take the good with the bad. Open the mic case and either drill a hole or clear the intended hole for better audio.The Good:Awesome price!I love this style headset and it's VERY comfortable.The Bad:The connector doesn't fit but it can easily be modified to fit.The microphone hole was covered on mine causing bad audio for transmission.The Ugly:The connector isn't so pretty now. You'd have to have pretty good eyesight to notice but still, it's obvious I had to 'help' it fit.Final thought:Ham radio operators are known to be handy with tools and troubleshooting. For those people, I'd say go on, buy it. Anyone looking for perfection may be more satisfied elsewhere. 3
